Was with my brother driving from California to Spokane WA in one day and we were somewhere in Oregon and getting hangry and my brother said the next place we see we are stopping for food, I swear 30 miles went by and we didn't see anything and then out of nowhere Diamond Lake Junction Café showed up and we pulled off! After checking out the menu I went with a bacon cheeseburger and honestly did not have my hopes up and didn't care because I was hangry. I wish I remember the fella's name who waiting on us and cooked our meal, he was super friendly and nice. My burger came out and I was super impressed, this was not skimpy at all, thick bacon, thick hamburger patty, thick cheese and fresh toppings and fresh cut fries with skin on! OMG this was delish!!! The perfect bacon cheeseburger I have had in a while! Don't judge out of nowhere places, some of the best food come from Mom and Pop places, and I for one am very happy we stopped and gave Diamond Lake Junction Café a try!

We were looking for a place to stop on our travels from Bend to California. We happened upon the Diamond Junction and based on the reviews decided to give it a try. The pastrami on rye was good according to my husband. I had the baby Bigfoot club and it was decent too. The fries were really good. This establishment is run by one person as stated in the other reviews. The gentleman in charge was not friendly at all. He didn't seem to like what he was doing. The previous customers waived and thanked him for their order to which he didn't acknowledge them. I left him a good tip and he ignored me also. They also charge 75 cents for each to go item that are in a paper boat and they don't offer condiments such as ketchup for the fries. We travel this route often and will probably pass on this place in the future. The food was okay, the service was lacking.

For those are heading to Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, etc, check this place out. Do not get discouraged by how it looks from the outside. The food is well worth it. We had burgers here - Mt Thielsen and the one with 1/3 patties and 1/4 pastrami (forgot it's name). The burger is so good. Everything on the burger, bacon, pastrami, grilled onion, are all very well cooked. The host is also the cook, and he is very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be bad again to try the rest of the extensive menu if we are back in the area.

The warmth of the wooden interior, the welcoming smiles, and the comforting aroma of homemade food instantly make you feel at ease. The menu is packed with hearty, satisfying options that truly hit the spot. Breakfast is outstanding -- fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy hash browns, and generous portions that fuel you for a full day of exploring. Their country-style dishes are rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Lunch and dinner are just as impressive, with juicy burgers, comforting homestyle plates, and fresh, well-prepared ingredients in every bite. Of course, the highlight -- and what Beckie's Café is legendary for -- is the pie. The homemade pies are absolutely unforgettable. Flaky, buttery crust paired with perfectly sweet, fruit-filled centers make each slice taste like it came straight from grandma's kitchen. Whether it's a classic apple or a seasonal berry variety, it's worth saving room for dessert. The service is just as memorable as the food. The staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and create a welcoming environment that makes you want to linger a little longer over coffee. It's clear this café has built its reputation over decades by doing things the right way -- quality food, warm hospitality, and consistency. If you're passing through Prospect or heading toward Crater Lake, Beckie's Café is a must-stop destination. It's more than just a meal -- it's an experience you'll look forward to repeating. Five stars, without hesitation.

Kind of a blunder because the chicken was great too- because there's so much food I'd recommend a couple to get one of each and share. There will be plenty of either for two meals. We were served a salad first, it came with homemade ranch and honey mustard. Our waitress recommended doing both. I personally don't like mustard but when in Rome... it was actually awesome. Soup and bread to follow- the soup was a very homey style soup. I personally thought it was okay/good but the other 3 at the table loved it. The bread was fresh and super soft. Lastly the meat! And a baked potato- steak was good, chicken was good. For some reason I loved the baked potato. It was done perfectly, usually not a fan of baked potatoes. All in all awesome- as other have mentioned, no alcohol but the drinks were great anyways. Also stopped by the gift shop and got some hats and coozies (reasonably priced) Although it was a drive and the building itself is a little rinky dink- it is well worth the visit and the $50 per person. I highly recommend anyone to go try it once and make a fun day trip out of it. Not sure I'll be visiting for some time again, but will definitely tell people to go check it out!
