The cabins and motel are terrible. The food at the lodge is worse. I wish someone would fix the place up. It is overpriced and dodgy for the lodgings. read more

We really enjoyed staying here. It is a perfect home base for visiting Crater Lake, waterfalls, etc. The staff were pleasant and efficient. They help you to your site which is great. I can understand that you might get a grumpy person once in awhile. I would be grumpy too if campers left smoldering campfires in their fire pits.......with raging forest fires all around Oregon. The sites were spacious, clean and include a fire pit, picnic table. When we were there a whole group of Airstreams had much of the park. It was awesome!!! read more

Nice lake. We went cross country skiing here. There were a lot of snow mobiles and RVs.

Great location if you have a site adjacent to the lake. Very large, noisy, and busy campground. Despite the 15 MPH speed limit, cars were speeding by all day and into the night. It appeared that the two large restrooms (with showers) at either end of the campground were maintained, however, many of the smaller ones were not. The two restrooms nearest our campsite got progressively worse during our stay, ran out of toilet paper, feces on the toilet seat, overflowing trash, dead bugs on all the surfaces, and trash all over the floor. No privacy or spacing between sites, many on an incline. Bring mosquito repellent. read more

This was a great place to stay. Full hookups and movie rentals in the office. Mary and Phil were very accommodating and nice to have as hosts. Short walk to the lake too. Only a couple miles from the diamond lake marina / resort. Very clean facilities at the rv park and clean sites. Rates were extremely reasonable too. Mosquitos weren't as bad as others say but we also came prepared with a lot of sprays and a big win was using a campground fogger to help keep the skeeters at bay. Big props to Mary and Phil for helping us with first aid after a terrible cycling accident I had in the diamond lake campground. (WATCH FOR UNMARKED SPEED BUMPS!!) (After going to urgent care when we got home I did not have any breaks. Just a deeply bruised bone). The road rash will take several weeks to heal but I'm on the mend!) Diamond Lake RV Park has a nice location but unable to say the same for the staff. The wifi was not working when we arrived but they failed to tell us that and repeatedly assured us it was working when we checked on the status. The management was not welcoming, felt we would have had more freedom at Pelican Bay Prison. Will not recommend or return. read more

We happened upon this place for a night of tent and RV camping. I called the place at crater lake and they were full and the guy was rude on the phone. So, we pulled into the diamond resort and asked where we could tent camp. This place was perfect, just around the corner. We got a spot right on the lake! Both my teen sons liked it. The only bummer was that because of the fire there were no camp fires allowed. It's not far from crater lake and lots of first come first serve spots. read more

Absolutely fantastic experience - we had 3 kids with us (ages 8, 6, 4) and stayed 2 nights. Location is great, we biked 3 miles on paved path to the resort to use WiFi and rent a boat. Walked across the street from campsite to pizza dinner and fishing. Folks were super helpful, sold us firewood for $6 and rented our kids DVDs for use in our rented RV for $1 each. After reading MANY reviews of this campground, I was honestly worried about our scheduled weekend getaway. We were there the weekend of 7/20/18. In all fairness, I like to write my reviews good and bad. We pulled up Friday late afternoon, I went inside to check in, my husband waited outside. The gal at the counter checked me in and was nice and friendly. Stated a few rules (just your usual courteous/safety camping stuff, nothing unusual) and I was on my way. An older gentleman outside with a golf cart showed us to our campsite. Thought it was unusual, but I can see reasons for it. Typically campground spaces are one-way and designed to back in the same direction, but these depend on your site. So, good thing he took us to the space. The spaces are a fair size, nothing huge. The sites were within walking/bike ride to the lake. Restrooms are decent, although we use our own, but if you use theirs, they're typical of public restrooms. They were clean. We didn't check out the shower facilities. Honestly, after the reviews, I almost feared our weekend would get ruined before it started, IT DIDN'T. The staff keeps a good eye on the happenings of the campground, cruising on the golf carts. Not that there is any riffraff getting in, but this helps deter, I'm sure. I gave this review 4 stars ONLY because of 1 issue of this campground/area...not the campground's fault by any means, but this area around Diamond Lake is very infested with mosquitoes. There are usually times of the day/evening that mosquitoes are out. And with most camping excursions, comes a fair amount of bugs and mosquitoes. I can handle bugs, no problem, even the typical quantity of mosquitoes. Here, they are out 24/7 and in full force, blood sucking starving 747's, lol. We have a very sleek/short-haired pitbull and in just minutes outside she looked bumpy from all the swollen bites. It was almost impossible to enjoy just relaxing outside our trailer. Glad this is an RV park, I pity the tent campers. read more

Let me start like this. This place is amazingly beautiful away from all the noise and craziness which makes it perfect run away. Me and my partner do trade shows and had 2 weeks free so decided to book the place and do some fishing at the gorgeous lake. So far so good. We asked the staff at least 3 times a month before we arrived if the can put us in a spot where we can have satellite shot. Although they said they would do the best they can nobody actually didn't even knew about it when we arrived. They told us nobody can reserve a spot upfront and refused to switch us to a different one with the argument they expected a group of 3 people for the weekend that requested to be next to each other. In any rate after spending 5 hour moving the rv back and forth we got a satellite shot. We were enjoying our vacation when find out our next show was off of our schedule and suddenly we got 2 more weeks we decided to spend there. We check in the office to extend our stay when were first told they don't have space. After multiple visits they told us we have to move to a different spot if want to stay. When asked why should we move if nobody can request a spot upfront and they can just leave us where we were and put whomever was appointed by them to our spot to the one they wanted move us the answer was they have to pull all of their sheets and cannot do that. I was amazed by their logic or more the absence of one. We lost entire day moving from one spot to another and lost our satellite shot. To add more to all this drama was the part when since day one we informed them we are going to get a lot of mail during our stay and we are going to pick it up from the main office. They assured us its not a problem and the guy's who's driving their golf cards all day along among the property will delivered to us. After we decided to extend our stay were told we are getting too much mail. We spend a month at this place and were thinking to go back for one more at the end of the season but felt very unwelcomed and uncomfortable for the second part of our stay. You would think someone who's there for a month will be prioritized that other who's there for 2 days but that's not the case. Giving 2 stars cause still think the place is amazingly beautiful but the staff make it uncomfortable for us and not sure we are going back. read more

This place is an example of "location, location, location," because that is all it has, a great location with the only RV park with any hookups on a great recreational lake. The sign advertises "full hookups," but there are only electricity and water, no TV, internet, drains, or anything else. The only restroom is a long walk from most spaces, and my partner refused to go there after the first night because of the creepy guy hanging out just outside the door. The space was small, but we weren't there much, not at all during the day. If the resort a few miles down the road ever adds RV spaces, this place will be in trouble. Next time we plan to use one of the Forest Service campgrounds and just do without the electric hookup, the restrooms are better, the showers are better, and it costs less. read more

Pretty good park. RV pads are a little worn and we had to switch spots because our sewer was elevated and my dooky doesn't run uphill against gravity. People in the office are very nice but anything they sell is VERY expensive (like 3X what you'd pay in a city) so bring all your goods with you (and make sure to pack mosquito spray and some sticks that you burn to keep them at bay). Appropriate value for the price. read more

The staff at this RV park are some of the rudest people I have had to deal with in quite a long time. My boyfriend and I booked a 2 night stay at this place a little over two months ago for September 15-17 as part of our trip to participate in the Ride the Rim event at Crater Lake. When we made our reservation, we confirmed dates and were told by the woman we spoke with that we just needed to make sure to get to the campground by 8 pm. When we left the morning of the 15th we planned our timing to get there around 7, but due to some unforeseen traffic our ETA slid closer to 8 pm. When we were a few hours away, I decided to call the office to give them a heads up that we would potentially be a couple minutes late, out of politeness. When I explained the situation to the woman who answered, she very rudely informed me that there was no way that would work, as they in fact closed at 7. Apparently for the month of September they close an hour earlier due to sunset happening earlier. This was not communicated to us in any way when we made the reservation, or in the ensuing email. In fact, their Yelp hours still show as 8 pm! When I explained to her that we were told 8 and explicitly planned our day around that, she told me it was too bad and there was no way we could park ourself (even when we explained that with our headlights and a few strong flashlights we packed, we could park our truck and camper, which we've done frequently in the dark, with ease). We attempted to speak with two other people, all of whom repeated the same thing. When we asked if we could check in the next day, we were told we could...at noon! We needed to be at Crater Lake much earlier than that, so asked if we could show up early. They said absolutely not. Even though their office would be open at 8 am and there would clearly be no one parking in our spot for the night. We then asked if we could get a refund since it was their error, and they replied that they didn't believe they were in error and since there was no way to prove it they would not be issuing a refund. They then asked us not to call back because they were sick of talking to us! I couldn't believe how rude and inflexible they were, when we tried everything we could to work around an error that was theirs. I recommend literally any other RV campground. In my many phone calls to find a backup, every single other person I spoke to was more polite and willing to help than the 3 employees I spoke with at this site. read more

This is a great place to stay friendly employees very helpful be careful some will talk behind your back I actually heard it myself when I was in my RV. It's a case of men being stupid with each other but taking it too far sometimes. Don't let the small things bother you. The location is a perfect spot for excursions to Crater Lake in one direction and all of the Falls in the other direction. The lake is beautiful you can boat, swim , there's bike / walking trails unlike around the Crater. Just take note as i've heard and was told by an employee this place is a very strict place Don't think about checking into this camp after hours they will not let you in so if your running late your screwed more or less, keep your site tidy no noise which I would expect also. If they close by 8 be there before, by September they close at 7 same goes here. If you don't get fire wood before 7 forget about it that closes too. It is a well run place thank you ladies in the office the two guys that clean up outside watch out for them their the talkers behind your back. Other than that I would recommend this place. read more

Great experience here. RV site with full hook up and a forest of trees behind us. Pretend you are back in the 20th Century- no WiFi, helpful staff, right on an 11 mile bike path around the lake. Short drive to Crater Lake. Smoke from the fires can be an issue but the office allows you to pay each day in case the smoke gets so bad you need to leave. Across the road from the lake. I wish I could give it no stars. Run away as fast as you can DO NOT STAY HERE! Keep driving. There is nothing great about this place. After trying to force open the door halfway on cabin 45, you get a old rotten smell as you look at dirty bed sheets for curtains and furniture that look like it was found on the road. Stains on the dirty carpet that who knows what it is made of. The whole place feels as if it is falling down to which it was. The toilet was falling over and did not flush. The windows wont open. The list is endless. I only stayed five minutes inside and we DID NOT STAY! They took our money that was $270 with no return. The place looks like people live there and is not run like a resort should be. My opinion. They should be ashamed for taking money and this place should be closed. This is not a place that you get what you pay for. Do not patronize this dump avoid it like the plague. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights on the last week of Aug 2019. The office ladies were so welcoming and nice! The park is on the beautiful Umpqua Forest, and is the perfect location to see Crater Lake, and surroundings waterfalls. Although is on the actual forest, they have Full HookUps! We were on Section F because we needed a PT, a little small, but we saw they had a very nice place were all the "fancy" huge RVs are (back ins only) section W, were the sites are large and wide. This is quite a big park, clean, nice bathrooms (for what my husband tells me), and is well maintain. Just across from it, is the beautiful Diamond Lake, great for afternoon walks, and a pizzeria. There is even a bike path that goes around the lake, which, if you go to the other side of the lake, there is a gorgeous view of Mt. Thielsen! (locals call it "Lighting Rod" mountain (you can imagine why)). This is a little Gem in the pines, right across a beautiful lake. Totally worth it! read more

We loved this place, although when we pulled in it was raining and there was a thousand mosquitos. We thought we were going to hate it, but the sun was out the next morning and it was wonderful! The sites are very wide but gravel and not very level. The wifi was pretty weak but free. I have Verizon and it was fine. Crater lake is only 20 minutes away and the nearby waterfalls are a must see. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were here the last week of June and in a motorhome. Also the pizza at the pizza place was great! read more

I wish that I had read some of the horrible reviews about Diamond Lake RV Park before making a reservation there! The treatment we received at this campground was horrendous. I have never been treated so disrespectfully and horribly at any campground and I absolutely cannot believe they are still in business after reading other reviews that had similar encounters. My husband, myself and our sons (8 & 10 yrs old) are on a trip of a lifetime. We are doing a National Park trip from Florida to California, up the west coast to Washington State and then heading back to the east coast pulling our travel trailer. So far we have traveled 6600 miles and have seen some amazing and beautiful parts of our magnificent country. A country that we love and respect and that my husband has served as a member of the Army National Guard in. We have camped for years and in this trip alone have stayed at many an RV Park. I have always been amazed at how kind and helpful other campers and campground staff have been up until now. We had our reservation made in advance for two nights so we could visit Crater Lake National Park. Their email states that they don't allow check-in after 8:00. We weren't going to make it by 8:00. We have traveled a long way and sometimes it's hard to predict an exact arrival time. We were eating dinner when we received a call from a lady at the park asking if we would be there by 8:30 (yes 30 minutes past what the email said). I explained to her that we would be close but not quite there by 8:30. She acted like it was a non issue. That we would be able to pull in late and then check-in the following morning. Not the case at all. We had some difficultly finding the campground, but we ended up getting there at 9:00. We were met at the office by a large man, swinging his huge flashlight around threateningly (I actually thought it was a club until my husband said it was a flashlight). He refused to let us park. Screaming at us in front of my children, telling us that parking after 8:00pm was forbidden. We explained to him that we had received a call earlier in the day and were assured that it would not be a problem. He continued on his rant of anger stating that if someone told us that they would be fired. I even pulled up the phone number from my cell phone to show that we had a call from them. We believe he was the owner. All the while, the horrible mosquitos that others have mentioned were filling the cab of our truck and my kids were getting alarmed by the yelling. I told my husband to just roll up the windows that we needed to leave. We pulled away while he was still tirading at us and went back down the mountain to a campground 30 miles away that my husband had seen earlier. It was Crater Lake RV park. The folks there were amazing. By this point it was 10:30 at night and we had no reservation at all. We pulled into the parking lot and the hosts met us outside. They graciously made room for us and we spent the rest of our stay at Crater Lake there. I teach my children to treat others how you would like to be treated with respect and kindness and I also believe that the hatefulness we witnessed at Diamond Lake RV park will at some point be returned. I highly recommend staying at Crater Lake RV park (or anywhere other than Diamond Lake). I agree with others that they have a scam going on. We lost our money and didn't spend a single night there and I'm sure they rebooked our spot to someone else. read more

We were excited to arrive at this park on July 3 this year. We were shocked by the unfriendly employees/owners in the office and around the grounds. We were given an unlevel site without power and were required to run an extension cord (which they provided) to the site next door, which was to be vacant during our stay (why not just give us a site that had power to begin with?). Yet we were rudely told that we could not park our second vehicle there. A man even came around as we were setting up and unloading and told us to move our second vehicle to guest parking immediately. We went into the office to speak to the lady at the desk about they, but she was adamant that we could not park our car there even though it was a vacant site. There was no mosquito abatement which made it impossible to be outside in the evening without being eaten alive by mosquitos. We had to buy mosquito foggers just to get from the car to the rv without getting bitten. My two girls were yelled at by employees for riding their bikes on the main road, even though I was supervising them. The people who run this place are unfriendly and rude. They drive around in golf carts spying on all the campers to keep them in line. There is nothing for kids to do here. There are no views of the lake. And, once you pay your money, there are no refunds, so even if you check out early they keep your money for the entire stay. Makes you think they are mean to people on purpose just to get their money. I would never recommend this place to anyone and we won't be back. read more
