This place is amazing! I brought my 3 year old son so I was a little worried. Right when I walked in I was greeted and sat down and started working on manicure. They made sure my son was comfortable and they even changed the channel to Nickelodeon so he was good. Some of the other employees who weren't busy were talking to my son and keeping him entertained. I just went to Diamond Nails for the second time today. Both times I received a full set of gel, and today I got a pedicure. The first visit was a little iffy, because two of my nails weren't straight, and were very thick. I went in today to get them removed after almost 4 weeks (not a single chip or crack), and I have to say I'm happy that I went back. The woman that did my nails both times remembered me, remembered my complaints from last time, and worked to make sure the same mistakes didn't happen again. the pedicure was wonderful; they were gentle and took extra care to shape my nails properly and help out with a possible ingrown toenail I didn't know I had. I will be returning tomorrow, in order to get one of my stripes fixed, however, because I gouged it. I recommend it. read more

I was really skeptical about coming here because of all the mixed reviews. I'm pretty particular about my nails when I get them done because my job requires me to the quite a bit and my hands are on display in front of clients. I know they aren't looking at my nails, but having them manicured and presentable is still important. Anyways, I'm usually one to speak up and be very direct with how I want my nails or if I don't like something (politely, of course). I didn't have to say one thing during my visit. I didn't catch my nail techs name, but she has a yellow face mask on. She paid very close attention to detail, was very polite to me, and double checked several times with me to make sure I like the color on my nails as it built with each layer. I was also was pleasantly surprised that she gave me a really thorough hand massage afterwards too. And the prices are very affordable. Paid about $25 for a gel manicure. This used to be my go-to but the last few pedicures I've gotten, have been awful. They cut my toe nails too short and cut my skin around the nails. They leave my toes unshaped and I just feel like they've gone down hill. The two older ladies are the worst ones and unfortunately I get them every time. I have to ask multiple times for even shaping and even that she paint the tip of my toe nail. Sorry, Diamond. Get it together. You lost another customer. read more

The staff is friendly and I've had Holly do my nails each time. She is attentive to detail and in ensuring the white tips are even. The tools they use come out of a sanitized bag, and their foot tubs are lined with plastic and cleaned after each use. I've been to about a dozen nail salons around town (including Walmart), and most of those shops had a fine layer of dust on everything or a cloud of chemicals in the air. But Diamond Nail & Spa is one of the cleanest in Fairfield, impressively clean! Prices are a bit less than other salons too. I have been recommending to all my friends as this is the best salon in town!!! Try it and see! read more

After a few months of going to this salon my nails are so damaged due to the so called "Gel Powder" they use. They also filled my nails with acrylic powder when I paid for gel. I called ahead and told her I would be there at 4 and when I arrived I sat right down and we got started. She was quick while still providing me with beautiful nails that were shaped exactly how I asked for them! This place is great. All the equipment looks new and is well kept. The staff members are all very courteous and caring. All of the utensils came out wrapped and sterilized and even the tubs were clean and lined prior to use. I was especially impressed by the young lady who gave me my pedicure today. This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to! I went in on a Monday afternoon to get a gel manicure, and my nail tech started painting a ton of layers on my fingers before curing the nails. I could tell she was a little nervous and she let me know that she usually doesn't do gel manicures, just the "dip." At this point most of my nails were looking patchy and uneven, so I asked her if she could fix the ones that looked patchy. The manager heard me and came over to see what was going on and started to tell me that the nails looked fine and that I was too picky. Excuse me?! I'm the one paying for the service, it shouldn't look patchy and should look good. I politely let her know that I just want the nails that look patchy fixed, she started to raise her voice at me once again telling me that I'm too picky and that she's going to have to re do my nails. At the point everyone in the salon is staring at us and I'm feeling humiliated. She took my hand and started filing down my nails without even asking me! Anyway, I can go on and on about the terrible service I received. Avoid this place at all costs, the girl who calls herself "the manager" is the rudest person I've encountered and their nails techs don't know how to actually do gel nails! read more

I loved this place! I visited there yesterday for my first time, the other nail shop I usually go to didn't fit my schedule. I got a Fill, pedicure, and my eyebrows waxed (I never let anyone touch them, but i saw a lady she did as i was walking in). I love every single thing about them. Came in for a pedicure and I am very disappointed. Sloppy work and the nail clipper wasn't even clean! I saw dry nail pieces falling out before it was used on me. A friend of mine who works at a dental office told me that they don't clean the tools properly and the tools are self packaged because the pouch carrying the tools is packaged incorrectly. The first time I went there, Tina did my manicure and pedicure and did a wonderful job! However when I went back today my experience was horrible. First of all I witnessed the owner (male) yell at one of the lady nail technicians telling her to get out of his shop, which is very unprofessional environment to do in front of customers and I could tell it made all of the other technicians uncomfortable. Also I received the worst manicure I have ever received. I have a lot of built up cuticles but when you pull at them and leave them dangling there, my nails look worse then when I came in. And the paint job was by far the most rushed and lacked even the smallest about of detail to get the sides of the nail let alone wait enough time to let the color coats dry before putting the top coat on, therefore smearing the entire nail polish. Do not go here! I could not be more disappointed!!' And angry! Yes nails grow back, but I am an executive and the details matter to me. Technician cut my nails completely off. No remaining white and well below the tip of my finger. They are now red and crazy painful. I told him he cut the first want to short second one even shorter after he was done butchering them took a file to them so there's truly nothing left. Gal sitting next to me was having the exact same experience! I watched as she called her eyes and looked desperately around as the technician she had ignored her request as well. Apparently they do not understand. Definitely stay away. I recommend Kenny's place over on Waterman, they are excellent but unfortunately tend to have a long wait. I wish that I could give this spot two reviews, one for their pedicure and another for their manicure since I was assisted by two different people. I stopped by yesterday for three of us to receive pedicures and called ahead for an appointment. The gentleman who answered the phone advised me to come in at 3:30, which we did yet we still had to wait about 15 mins to be seen. My friend and I asked for the deluxe pedi which consisted of a peach or apricot scrub, hot rock massage etc. Holy crap! Worst experience ever! I was in and out of the pedi chair in less than 30 mins. The lady put the scrub on my feet first, which I have never experienced. Rather than massage my legs and feet, she simply washed the scrub off right away. The hot rock massage was very weak and lasted less than 4 mins. There was no actual foot massage, nothing. This was definitely a burn and turn type of environment. Help someone and get them out asap so you can get another body in the chair. My gel manicure was definitely fast, but since there is no massage or additional services with it, it is to be expected and appreciated as long as the work is good. My manicure looks good, there are a few small details that were overlooked, but for the first experience it wasn't too bad. 4 stars for the mani and 2 for the pedi. read more

This was the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had. This was also my first visit to this nail salon. For the pedicure only 2 nails were filed out of 10. She just looked at the others and moved on. Cuticle softener was applied and she VERY quickly did a sloppy job of pushing back the cuticle. She did not trim anything. Within 5 minutes the pedicure was done. I could go on with all the details but I think you get the picture. I will never return. read more

I had been going here for about a year and every time I go something is wrong with my mani or pedi, mind you I was a loyal customer this was the only place I would go to every 2-3 weeks. You would think that they would try to do a better job but they didn't. The first time I went there was the best and only time it was good. BEST nail salon i've EVER been too! These people really care about you!! Five of the ladies sat around me and asked me about my pregnant belly, gave me cold water, asked about my day/life, and watched the guy do my nails. He did AMAZING, by the way. My nails are sooooo pretty! He knew exactly what the customer wanted, not thick on top, made the grow out space so nice to where you won't be able to see the line when it grows out. I came here when they first opened and had a full set done which come out pretty nice and 20% off wasn't too bad, when I came back for a fill, since I had gotten a solid color on my nails the first time I didn't notice the lifting but when I was getting my fill I noticed how much she had to clip off from the sides, which was were all the lift was happening. I got a pedicure to and when they're cutting the side of your toe nails they're basically ripping your skin off with it too, it was painful, they are nice lady's and do an okay job with acrylic but I wouldn't come here for a pedicure, or acrylics unless you want them lifting. read more

Went in for mani pedi. While getting my pedicure another client walked in, and there was not any available person for her. In hopes not to loose more money waking through the door, immediately the lady working on me sped up and tried to do my pedi as fast as she could. I got a half ass pedicure, and even worse, a messed up paint job. She literally dabbed the last coat on without even spreading it. Horrible customer service. She jumped up out of her seat without even saying thank you to me, or any contact at all. There is nothing worse than handing your hard earned money over to someone who doesn't deserve it.
