It's a spa experience at regular nail salon prices. Everything is spotless clean. I think the person that mentioned a dirty foot bowl was talking about a different place. So, yesterday, my friend and I had appointments for pedicures. We got to our time 5 minutes before, so we would have time to pick out our color. We waited to be acknowledged. Finally we we told to come sit down in the chair. I had my water filled without any cleaning solution. My friend's water was empty as the next person who came in after us was being serviced. Now onto the pedicure itself. I got the #2. Had I known that it really wasn't any better than #1. She cut my nails crooked and did not file them. Her idea of a massage was to pound on my heel and calves. Not fun at all. I got the gel polish and it was very sloppy. I got home and had to file my toe nails down, smoothnthem and shape. I'm usually pretty bad about leaving reviews. I usually end up forgetting. But this experience has stayed in my mind and not for a good reason. First- the good. The prices weren't terrible. It was about $5 cheaper than what I usually pay, so I thought that was a good deal. (Turns out, you really do pay for good service.) The atmosphere seemed pretty nice. The workers were polite but not chatty, which I personally like. Now the real reason I'm here writing this review. There was 2 people there but only 1 to do nails. There was 2 of us there, so it was a little frustrating but I understand. But it took almost 2 hours to do my nails. For a full set. It has never taken that long to get my nails done. I'm usually done in about an hour. Then it was another 1+ hour for my mom to get hers done. I chose a black nail polish and it's very splotchy, like there isn't enough polish to cover the nail. I asked for almond shape and he just did rounded. They are not even at all. My mom got French tips and there are bubbles in the acrylic and hers are very uneven. It only been 3 days and the gel polish is already chipping. I will definitely not be going back to this salon. read more

I live in Phoenix and my husband and I came to Tucson for the weekend. While he went golfing yesterday, I decided on a mani-pedi. I am so thankful that I went to Diamond Nails. I was greated by the owners, who are husband and wife. After about a 10 minute wait, I was directed to a pedicure massage chair. I had the husband as my nail tech. He did a great job and was pleasant to talk to. I had surgery on my big toe recently and he was very gentle. Didn't hurt at all. I then had a dip manicure. The results of both were better than I have had in Phoenix! Next time I come to Tucson I hope I can visit Diamond Nails again for another mani-pedi. read more

Saw this place while my mom and i were out and decided to give it a try. We both got Manis and Pedis, and let me tell you. The foot massage was SO good and felt amazing. They had good music playing, not too loud but a nice volume. It definitely set a upbeat happy atmosphere! After, we chose the nail tips we wanted (they had a great selection by the way.)i chose a lavender/blueish sparkly colour and my mom chose one with butterflies. I admit the nail part did take longer than i expected, but he did a wonderful job. My 1 year old daughter was starting to get fussy while the guy was doing my nails, but he knew ways to keep her occupied! So, actually came in here ready to tip at least 10 because i know im difficult, i was happy, just got my mcflurry and was able to get seated right away and even after 3 price changes was still paying under what i would at a normal shop around my town,go back pick out some glitter for my tips and when i get sat down, they offer me the pre-made mixes after i just chose out two really pretty ones, because it was easier? Okay went with it, got a really pretty almost light blue green opal kinda deal and got sat down again, but ladies, she started off with a really big fuck up, let me tell you something, NO LEGITIMATE SHOP PERSONAL, ANYONE IN THE RIGHT MIND, IF THEY HAD TAKEN THE PROPER SCHOOLING, should EVER take that fucking nail drill to your cuticle bed! My cuticles are wrecked, she nicked me about 7 times in the shaping process, her shaping is a 3/5 wider in places and she didn't check the length until the end I HAVE NEVER HAD THE EZ BOND OR THE CHEMICAL BONDS BURN AS BAD AS THIS DID ON MY CUTIES..... i walked in asking for glitter tip acrylic... she tried getting me to pay the extra for as shes setting up to put it on. Im like uhm i wanted acrylic and she like "it makes the glitter clear" welll... ha. The MAJOR problem with this SHE WOULD NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE IF SHE WAS FUCKING SANITARY. EVERY SINGLE PIECE SHE USED ON ME.. HAD WHITE ON IT.. was obviously used before me so when she to wash my hands after shaping, bet your ass i scrubbed my hands.. I was honestly very chill troed converstating with her 2 times and no response, though she had been the one talking to me since i walked in? Said eh whatever and started watching her shaping i wasnt too upset, yes she was quite obviously unsanitary, but i was calm up until the 5th time she nicked me, i had inhaled sharply, made the 'are you fucking kidding me face' but with my eyes closed when it happened, lean out of her lamp blocking her face said sorry but i got knicked 2 more times.. after all that its time for top coat annnd its actually the nicest part of her job tbh.. i honestly knew the color would be off because their color coder they used was obviously some type of mold. It was a bow so it was a good half inch thick in the least. so when it actually got applied to my tip it ended up like this, i wish the phone was charged cause the original color of the bow was super pretty. Spur of the moment looked at my chipped nails, and called to make an appointment. Was told just get over here! I did! Picked a light pink color, changed my mind a few times and settled on the white French tip- No one has ever hurt me there or given me poor service. I went in to this salon on Saturday afternoon. There was only ONE other girl getting her nails done already in the chair. I asked for a full set and pedi. The guy at the front desk starts discussing prices and if I wanted gel etc.....THEN seriously tells me "WE DONT HAVE TIME"....I looked around the COMPLETELY EMPTY salon and repeated back to him "YOU HAVE NO ONE HERE AND YOU HAVE NO TIME?"..he said "Yes". So I left across the street to E-Spa Nails, there salon was PACKED but they still got me seated within 15 mins and did an AMAZING job! I went to get fills and the owner was very rude and kept saying I was moving, I should have got up and walked away at that point. I gave him a chance and he did a horrible job. Two of the nails broke the same day and he was short handed so he did a rush job sending people away to come back later. This location has been here quite some time. I used to go here about 5 years ago. I moved back into the area not long ago and decided to stop in a couple weeks ago for fills instead of driving an hour to my usual place in Marana. I can't believe Ken remembered me from so many years ago! I see they have done many improvements to the inside, business, the walls and décor are beautiful and I really noticed how clean and quiet it was compared to Delicate Nails in Marana. Its not jam packed with customers and noise, I guess if you have a steady flow of customer after customer, that doesn't really leave much time for cleaning. Think about that... I went in for a Mani and Pedi and it was One of the most godawful experiences ever! The guy up at the front counter was rude and in my opinion, very unprofessional. A customer asked for a shellac type manicure and because he was short handed his response was "oh my god!"There were not enough employees working there and he was turning away a lot of customers asking them to come back later. He also appeared to have a bad cough and did not have a mask on to protect others. (he had the mask but not covering his mouth)He stated that he had allergies, but still needs to be more conscientious of how it looks to others. There was a very loud inappropriate movie playing with a lot of bad language and violence, which to me is totally unacceptable. People go there to relax and pay for great service, and I did not see that there. The employees seem to be a little uptight from the vibes that this guy was sending and were busily trying to accommodate the customers that were there. In all honesty, there a a lot of Nail Salons out there and have all the same offerings.
