I work very close to TQ Nails and decided to get a pedicure. I have always done my own pedicures, so I thought it would be nice to have it done for a change. I made the appointment online-which was nice and convenient. I ended up calling them to move the appointment back by a 1/2 hour and they were very accommodating. They also take walk-ins, but I was going on my lunch break, so I was afraid I wouldn't make it in the time I had. I got there at 3:00 PM, and they sat me immediately. The manager welcomed me and had a young man seat me in one of their nice massage/manicure chairs. Filled the basin and let me soak for a few minutes. At 3:09 the nice young lady came over and let me choose from the menu my service. They all looked great, and if I had more time I would love to have tried the Volcano Pedicure, which includes a relaxing and bubbling detox soak, sugar scrub, collagen cream mask, collagen massage lotion, paraffin wax, and stone massage. Lovely! Unfortunately for me, I was limited on time, so I selected the Gel Pedicure that included: a soak, some very nice massage, a sugar scrub, some sanding of callouses. It's a very strait forward procedure-but she was still able to make it so luxurious. This was my first time, so I wasn't sure what to expect. She proceeded to do the nice pedicure and I got a basic white gel color. She was very gentle and thorough. My feet and toes felt great afterward. I was able to slip my loafers on after the session and made it back to work in time. The only thing I was not expecting was a little first-timers discount (thank you, TQ Nails!). Also, tipping is only in cash, and I had to come back after work and give the lady some $$. Not a problem. The manager even said I didn't need to tip because it was my first time there, but I think that is the best time-because she was so gentle and did such a great job. I was so happy, and almost a week later I love looking down and seeing how great my feet look! I would absolutely recommend TQ Nails to a friend, co-worker, customers, family, etc. Honestly, I actually heard of TQ from a customer who had some time while she was waiting on her RV service and went and got a pedicure while she waited. They did a great job and I look forward to getting a manicure before I go on vacation! read more

Unfortunately, I believe I'll have to find a new nail place. It's unfortunate as I did like the gentleman that did my nails however I am generally on a pretty tight schedule therefore I always schedule an appointment however each and every time that I have scheduled an appointment I've waited 15 minutes or longer , generally longer to be seen . It is one thing if you are a walking but when you were consistently scheduling appointments and a regular customer it shows me that our time is not respected . I went April 13th for a mani pedi. Pedicure was great, the gentleman who did my manicure did a great job but I noticed he had warts all over his hands and was not wearing gloves. I'm not one to write reviews often, but I ended up getting two warts on my hands a week or so later. I will not be returning. I'm kind of grossed out and had to get them taken care of. He cut my toe nails and put them on my nice clean jeans on my lap..... never had this experience before. Extremely uncomfortable. Bugs everywhere, lots of dust. Male tech was rude and aggressive. He consistently kept adjusting my leg and my arm while he was doing my nails for his comfort but it was uncomfortable for me and was causing me pain and this reoccurring every three seconds. It was annoying and frustrating bcuz he would not let me relax. They also do not own nail clippers so they were using cuticle cutters to cut my nails. They also don't have many colors at all. When I asked for more he told me no. He snatched the colors out of my hand and made fun of my Tattoos. I have been coming to Nails Rap 3 since 2004, Danielle and her husband David are the two that have worked on my manicures and pedicures. This place is awesome and it's like going to see family. I've watched there little girls grow up there, and now a little son to add to the addition. I have been to a couple of other nail shops within the past few years only because I needed something right away and it happened to be when their shop was closed (poor timing on my part). Nobody compares to these guys...your nails look the same every time, but it is the customer service that is A+ in my opinion. read more

So I took my daughter and a friend of ours to get manis and pedis today. I was somewhat concerned when we were able to get three appointments on short notice but I figured, how bad could it be. The manicure was decent, the regular pedicure was ok, but the gel pedicure was terrible! The young boy who did it missed the edge on my big toe, quite a few edges were messy and left polish on the skin. The end result was dull and for $40 I expected more! Hauwie does the best nails in town. He has a great selection of acrylic colors and gel polishes. Always very friendly and accommodating for schedules. Never have had any issues with my nails. I can go three almost four weeks between fills with no problems. They can custom make acrylic colors to suit your needs. I highly recommend Nails Rap III. read more

TOTAL disappointment!!! Nails Rap 1, 2 or 3. This particular Nails Rap Salon is located off Ina & Sannon. My sister has come here for year's (13)and brought ALL family member's as well. I went in yesterday for a mani-pedi and WILL NOT be returning. Nor will my sister or the family. First, I asked for three coats of gel polish on my toes and nails and the owner Tony, told me no. Then I didn't get get a full on manicure as asked, or my three coats but I was sure charged for one. His wife Cindy broke my nail while removing my previous gel and then proceeded to charge me for the repair. Not to mention they just have a way of making you feel bad for what THEY didn't do!! Talking about you in their language. ALL OF IT IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and if we don't start expecting more for the money we pay and commenting on these things nobody benefits. Prices are great and all other staff are very friendly. My nails always look amazing and I always get compliments on how great they look. A couple days after my review, four of the nails' gel started to peel up. I called the salon and they agreed to redo those nails. By the next day, more nails were ruined. They redid all of them and I would possibly give them at least two stars for willing to fix them but since they made it seem like it was my fault the gel nails didn't last a week, I think I'll stick to my one star. read more

I also had been coming when the shop was owned by Danielle and her husband. It was great. So I decided to try again now that it was under new management. The first time I went the nails were actually good. The last time I went the staff were rude and the service was really bad. I made an appointment and should not have had to wait. Then the man proceeded to rip off 2 of my nails saying they had air pockets and needed to be fully replaced. I noticed within a week that the corners of all my nails had started to curl but especially the 2 new nails. I went to another salon and when the owner took of the gel polish both of the "Brand new" nails had mold covering them. The last time I went to Nails Rap I noticed that the shop had become dirty and unkempt. The sign that actually should have hung out side was leaning up against the wall, there was nails dust all over and the display case in the front was a mess. DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE!! They deserve 0 star and I am going to write exactly why they don't deserve any. I usually do my own nails but today I felt like getting them done professionally before school starts. Waiting for a nail technician for 20 minutes wasn't so bad (even though their kid was running around throwing pencils and whatnot) but the service I received (if I received any) was TERRIBLE. I went in to get gel manicure and after one coat and curing, I saw bubbles, hair, big chunk of polish clumped together on my nails and (most importantly) gel polish was all over my skin around my nails! Firstly, I did not go in there for my nails to look like they were painted by a 2-year old!! So, I expected the technician to be professional about it and FIX HER MISTAKES but she never even attempted to do so until I pointed them out to her after a second coat/cure! She obviously knew she did a HORRIBLE JOB!! Well, here is the WORST PART of my story. While attempting to remove (or whatever she was attempting to do) gel polish (using dremel tool) on my nails, she gave me a friction burn!! Not only was she sanding my skin (totally unacceptable), she was sanding my nails too long making that friction heat penetrate through my nails!! I later complained about how it is called "soak-off" gel polish for a reason (they even have removal products to minimize damage to your nails) and she should not have used the tool on my nails, THEY WERE LAUGHING AT ME saying how it had to be done because "soak-off" process takes forever!! Hello??? So they think customers would prefer to have damaged nails + friction burns and save 5 minutes of their life??? Besides, the young guy at the salon who seemed to be the only person who spoke decent enough English to communicate with customers was SO RUDE!! When I told them it hurt a lot he was like "why didn't you tell other techs that it hurts?" HELLO?? I did tell my tech she was hurting me and she had to stop!! What's the point of telling other techs that it hurts when they aren't the ones doing my nails?! AND when I told him I know how to do nails too and I am well-aware that there are "removal products" for gel nail polish he was like "then why don't you do it yourself? Why come here to get them done? Go do your own nails." WOW.. What a great customer service. Sure, blame your customers for going to nail salons to get their nails done professionally.. That's exactly how you run a small business. Oh yeah, and if that jerk didn't start talking to me like that with attitude, I would've been much calmer at the salon. Seriously, I am shocked at how unprofessional and uncaring they seemed. I AM NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN and so shouldn't you. read more

I had an appointment with Angie for 10am today. I arrived a few minutes before 10, no Angie. I asked if she was there, I was told yes, pick a color and sit down. At 10:12 I asked again If Angie was there, this time I was told she's on her way, she had to drop baby off at babysitter. At 10:15 Angie finally showed up. I was ready to reschedule because I had errands to run but went ahead and let Angie do my nails. She just wanted to get me out of there so she didn't take much time. While I was there 3 of the workers, Angie, her husband and another worker carried on a lively conversation with each other all in Vietnamese. Very rude! Also they take their little boy to work with them and he is all over the place. Today he got the bin of clean nails brushes and had them all over the floor playing with them. Not very sanitary!!!
