Worst experience ever! First, the lady that did my pedicure was an elderly lady. So I was feeling terrible about that already, but then I watched as she couldn't see my toes very well, so the polish was thick and bubbly and blotchy. It was a mess on the tips of my toes. She didn't even shape my nails or trim my cuticles. I felt too bad to even complain. But save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. First time coming to vinnys (08/24/2021). I don't expect high quality but mannnn. How about being nice or helpful with my first visit. Also my nail tech was in such a rush we felt in his way. And he maybe said 5 words to my mom and me. I grew out my nails so I can dip with my natural nails . My tech cut/filed them sooo short. Definitely not worth the money. NEVER. GO. HERE. Went in there to get my nails fixed (although I initially loved the design before I came in, the person who did them had the acrylic too chunky and the only way to fix that was to file the paint off to get to the acrylic) and Allen filed them down, offered to redo the design, but it looks terrible. Allen didn't even do the design himself, he had someone else do it. I was waiting in there for almost 3 hours, the lady doing the design STOPPED in the middle of servicing me to service someone else, and then refused to finish the design on the index fingers. I voiced that I did not like it MULTIPLE times, but they did not want to redo it. All Allen did was drill my already existing acrylic so that it was even (which took no more than 10 - 15 minutes, filing nails isn't necessarily that difficult) which I appreciated, and a design that I don't believe is THAT difficult to do for someone who has done nails for many years. The file down was $15 and $5 for the poorly done paint. I didn't even want to pay $15, but I told Allen that I will pay the $20 and never come back. When I also said that I will be leaving a poor review based off POOR WORK, Allen decided to blame me for "being mad" instead of the fact the employees did a shitty job that I pointed out MANY TIMES. My hubby and I tried this place for the first time today and we will be coming back...clean and friendly -they seemed very organized and I watched them open the tools they were going to use in me. I've never had anyone use a grater looking thing on my heels but this was the most effective and gentle technique. Never knicked or cut and they took their time on my problem areas after they kindly asked if I had plans afterwards. They had my favorite music on and just a very nice experience. There is always drama in there. Owner and techs are always talking in their native language especially when they don't like something. Like if you ask them to fix something. They don't want to Loose a client so they sit you for pedicures and leave you soaking for half to an hour before they have a tech available for you. One time two ladies came in and they both got sat down to dial for pedicures and they were soaking for 45 min. Then they started working on one of them while the other waited. Three ladies came in and they sat them and the owner asked the tech to start with one of the three ladies. When the customers complained they started taking away in their native language and did not acknowledge them. The one that had been soaking for a while got up and said I'll wait for you in the car. This is Arizona heat. When her friend tried to tell them how wrong this was the tech doing her pedicure just shrugged his shoulders so she got up and left. Then the three ladies felt real uncomfortable so they got up and left. So for their unprofessional behavior they lost five paying customers and me because I never went back. read more

I recently went to Vinnys nails got a pedi and it was by far rhe worst experience very very unsanitary she clipped my nails with I believe dirty nippers because she whipped it and started 2 clip and cut me, they are beyond rude, and splashed my eye with dirty water, someone needs 2 report them asap. I will contact some1 I just graduated cosmetology and thats enough to shut a place down idk how they are up and running. On top they tip themselves so plz girls be careful where you go. Update: they fixed my nails for me which I'm thankful for. I had been to vinnys before. Used to be a regular here. Till the last time I visited about 8 months ago. I asked for white tips and the lady gave me a regular full set. Knowing what would happen to have white set I let it go. Lady seemed rushed nails didn't look great but they were alright. After not being there for 8 months I decided to give vinnys a try again. Got the same lady, not sure of her name, they look awful. They are uneven and look almost like a child painted them. So a couple of friends and I decided to check this place as it's relatively close to where we're staying at. We just had wanted a pedicure with sea salt but some how due to the confusion and "language barrier" they gave us two deluxe pedicure. We clearly explained that we wanted a regular pedi with sea salt. But I guess that's okay since it wasn't that big of the deal. I just didn't appreciate the passive aggressive behavior in which they treated us with. But I don't know if using cheese graters are allowed in the state of AZ but in some states they are not allowed. The lady doing my "deluxe pedi" didn't scrub my feet, cut a callus with a cuticle cutter didn't put anything on it and when I asked if she was going to scrub it she said "I already cut it" the paint job was mediocre also and I asked for someone else to fix it they sat me down with the same person. Super awkward. I left and asked for the manager and informed him I wasn't happy with th service he told me to come back and when I got there everyone made a fuss about it. The clear gel shows all of that leaving the final coat less smooth than I like. But she did a good job in shape, buffing and machine control. I'll be back for her to do my fill. I suppose it depends on who you get. I had made an appointment but they must have lost it because they had no idea I was coming in. Both nail techs were hurrying and the one doing my dad's pedicure apologized to a lady who had an appointment with her that she'd be done soon. She did a good job though and he was happy. My gentleman was pretty rough shoving and pulling on my feet to get them into the position he wanted. I would have moved however he wanted if I could have figured out what that was. So I ended up watching him for clues so not relaxing. Then he sanded my toes too much and they ended up bleeding in two places which I guess freaked him out because he didn't do my heels at all. After lockdown I really needed my heels done. When it was time to pay, my dad's tech was busy with her appointment so my tech told me the total for both. I only wanted to tip her but I am a total wimp when it comes to confrontation so I handed over the whole amount plus tips for both. He took the money and hurried away without a word. The place has good reviews and based on my dad's experience it is worth it. But for me, I won't go back unless I'm able to ensure I get one of the good techs. read more

I used to go here for a few years. There were two nail techs that I loved. There were always problems with attitudes of some of the ladies here but I overlooked it. The last straw for me was when I was getting a pedicure and fill and one of the ladies left before she finished. The woman that manages the place was not happy and started yelling over me to another person. Not only did my nails not come out right, it was complete madness. Then I felt like she started talking about me. I became so uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to leave. That was the last time I went there. I started to go back to my old nail salon across town on Wilmot and Speedway. I've had my nails for 12 days exactly, I don't do hard labor but I'm a little annoyed that after paying $45 for my set how weak my nails are. The second day I had them the thumb cracked off, a week ago I was carrying my purse and my nail flew off like if I had the set for a month it would be more understandkng, and today the third nail flew off too. If I could give a zero, I would. I went in for a full set, and the lady in the front to the left refused to prove what I asked for ( name of HAI on her teal cart). She did an overlay in which I told her several times to do a full set. Less than a day later all the acrylic from her overlay had broke on several nails. I came back in and showed her the poor quality of her work and was yelled at by her. She argued and blamed the nail polish and said it was my fault because they were old (yet she did the work less than a week prior) Let me add that it originally took 2.5 hours for a the original work and pedi, and I was the only customer. Maybe if she focused on her work instead of gossiping and arguing with the customers, but she is the problem....HORRIBLE service. I did also read another customers review in which it stated no record of her visit to nail salon, I can prove this is an accurate review on the correct shop as it is on my bank statement... I want to really like Vinny Nails because the staff has been friendly, it is large so there are a lot of pedicure stations, and the massage chairs are great. However, the past 2 times I've been both nail technicians have cut my cuticles (to the point of bleeding) which is not only painful but increases the risk of infrction. I'm not sure if it's due to poor technique but it seems more related to using dull cuticle clippers. Other than cut cuticles, the quality of pedicures have been good. I can't say the same about the gel manicure I got. I was asked to remove my own nail polish (not a huge deal but I'm paying for a full manicure and not to do it myself.) The technician left a noticeable gap at the bottom of a lot of my nails so after about a week I had to have the polish removed because the gap was so bad. In the past gel manicures last me a solid 2 weeks, sometimes 3 weeks. read more

Right by my house so decided to try it out, pedicures are nice here (depends who you get) but I realized that it is very unsanitary because my toe was turning purple in a small area and it hurt for a whole month. Lucky enough it went away but do t get me started on the nail service. I was told that the set of nails I was getting was $35(after I had shown a picture and explained what I wanted) and I was ok with that BUT once I was done the final cost was $50 and the lady was absolutely rude, she drew blood from 4 of my nails and when I told her she replied with "why were you moving so much". So my salon I go to is closed on Tuesdays, and since I get in trouble at work if I have a broken nailI had to get a nail repaired. The staff was nice it I felt very pushed and rushed. It is unsanitary and feels very cluttered in there. The polishes didn't feel very accessible but that might just be me and how I'm used to my salon, but I also had asked for thin nails and they gave me the usual type of thick that I do not like and I had ask many times. Moral of the story I'm sticking with my nail salon that uses new products on me and keeps the acrylic liquid and things in a organized manner and listens to my preferences. read more

Love this place!! Been coming for years and I will never go to another salon. They have so many unique nail art and designs to choose from if you are into intricate nail designs, also wide ranges of nail polishes. I get gel on nails and toes everytime and I never leave disappointed with their customer service or how my nails look. The gel on my toes has lasted me over 3 weeks before without a chip or scuff, and my nails always look fresh out the salon even when I'm due for a fill. They also have all the specialty chrome, holographic, and cat eye gel polishes that are hard to find in salons.
