I made my reservation online, the day before. I chose the 11:30am spot for a hot stone massage, but when it confirmed with me, I saw that I had been placed at the 9 am spot. I called and asked for it to be fixed. No problem. I arrived a little early, but was ushered immediately into room 1. I asked to use the restroom first. When I came out of the restroom, I was ushered back into room one and the door was shut behind me. No instructions. I figured that I should probably change, so I started to undress. I had gotten down to my underwear when there was a quick knock at the door and the door opened. Someone announced "changing room." I originally thought she meant that she wanted me to undress in a changing room, but she actually wanted me to go to room 2. I got into room 2 and undressed. Still no instructions. There was a narrow strip of cloth, so I attempted to cover myself with it, but it was too narrow. I was still confused a little. I can't tell how long I waited because I didn't have my watch on and there was no clock in the room. The masseuse arrived and asked what I wanted today. Hot stone massage. She meant what part of my body I wanted her to concentrate on. Low back and feet. Ok. She'd do the massage first and then hot stones. Great. Medium pressure. Ok. The massage was a little too hard at first, but I spoke up and she adjusted the pressure. I could feel my back relaxing. Unfortunately, I'm ticklish on my feet and I wasn't able to handle the lighter pressure on them. But it was still a great massage. Suddenly, someone opened the door to room two and started speaking loudly to the masseuse. It was jarring since everything else was so quiet and I was mostly unclothed other than the narrow strip of cloth. No privacy with the door wide open! And speaking so loudly when I was trying to relax was ridiculous. We got to the hot stone part and the masseuse kept dropping the stones. Bang. The wall. Plop. The floor. Oops onto the table. I would have given 5 stars other than the online errors, the wide open door, the loud voices and the dropping of the stones. It was a good massage with a few minor drawbacks. read more

Not for the modest. To me, this place was very reminiscent of massage shops in Indonesia, where people are less worried about showing themselves. This isn't necessarily bad, but I wish I'd been more prepared for that when I'd gone in. The massage and scrub were good, but it seemed like maybe they were under staffed. My masseuse scheduled an appointment while working on me (it took less than 5min, but I still wasn't crazy about it). They would also talk to each other with the door partially open, they swapped who was working on me without saying anything to me about it, and the shower in the back to use after the scrub and the wrap they give to walk there were...bad. I could see all of myself through the wrap, and the hallway to walk to the shower is in full view of the front door and other rooms. The shower also felt like it was in a utility closet, was very small, and not very clean. I'm giving two stars because the women were incredibly nice and the pressure was good on sore muscles. But the facilities are inadequate for what they're selling. I think with some upgraded systems and materials (i.e., updated bathroom, new wraps for modesty, no one entering or leaving the room during massage, and no answering the phone in the room) they'd be much better. No....Just don't go! No, can you hear me shaking my head no? I got a foot massage. She got enough oil to deep fry a turkey put it on my legs and feet and just rubbed up and down frantically! To be honest it kind of stressed me out. I decided I was going to speak up and ask for a foot massage instead of rubbing. Once I asked nothing changed and it continued for a grueling 50 minutes. I would have left but I was with someone and I thought they were enjoying their massage and I didn't want to interrupt their experience. I do not like making these reviews but I have to speak out.., I went in last minute to get a massage with my mom for Mother's Day. We were close so we decided to call and make an appointment, we did arrive pretty early about 20 mins early to see if we could get in sooner, when we walked in the owner was DYING her hair.. that should have been red flag number one. She told us our appointment was at 6:45 and to Come back then, which we had no problem doing! We left and came back at 6:45. When we arrived we went into the rooms and we didn't really know what to do since we asked for just neck massage, we were not instructed to take any of our clothes off so we left them on. About 10 mins go by and they still hadn't came in. My massage was absolutely TERRIBLE, I wouldn't even call it a massage it was just rubbing... my mom stated when they used the hot towels it was so hot she thought she got burnt. I don't know this one didn't give me the feel good feeling want to return. In fact I booked at SOCO afterwards. The pressure was too hard and all over the place. Don't get me wrong I like a firm massage but this one was not pinpointing my trouble spots and the face pillow was so flat I could feel the pressboard jamming into my face. I left with deep lines on my face. It was just an uncomfortable experience all around. We had a group of four get massages here and we all commented the same after 'I've never had a massage like that'. The massage technique they use heavily involves the use of elbows and feet. The therapists speak minimal English so it is hard to communicate if the pressure is too firm. A day later and two in our group have bruises, the other two feel fine. They are very good at targeting problem areas and knots but may be a bit too aggressive for some. read more

I also asked for the steam to be places a bit farther from my face as it was very hot and the woman completing my facial declined. Most of the time she massaged face with a fragrant oil and was rough around the eyes. Had to ask her to stop rubbing my eyes due to having contacts in. I just had the worst massage of my life here, which is shocking. Over the years I have spent almost a few thousand on couple's massages and have had nothing but great experiences. Today was an absolute 180. First up, I was asked for payment before services were rendered, which has never happened. I left a generous 30% tip as I always do, assuming that the massage would be awesome as usual. I was very wrong. She used her elbows for about 58 minutes of the entire hour. No working out knots or anything. Just rubbing her elbows aggressively across my back and spine which hurt. She was so rough that the massage table moved across the floor multiple times, which I have never ever experienced here. It wasn't until I was leaving that I realized she gave me bad friction burn on my calves, and twisted my leg hairs up in such a way I had to cut them out. I was initially wary coming here because the reviews I read were so awful but I try to go into places with an open mind and I'm glad I did! I booked a deep tissue massage for an hour and it definitely was, the woman who worked on me was strong! I went into my room right away and as she started she asked me several times if it was too hard. The first time I replied yes, then from there it was perfect! Every massage I have had here has been awesome. I'm a bigger guy and nothing really feels as good (massage wise) as someone who knows what they're doing walking on your back. The spa is clean and the staff are friendly, they respond quickly to booking requests and I've never had to wait or had any issues when I turned up. I would recommend this is you're looking for a gentle massage or if you're more muscular and struggle to find massage therapists that are able to really dig in and get to the sore spots! read more

Very cramped, and my bed didn't have a headrest so my head was uncomfortable lying flat. She put so much oil on me it felt disgusting. I'm sorry I have to write this but this was probably one of the worst massages I've ever received. I get massages on a regular basis. The woman did not listen to anything I had to say. I felt like I was gently being patted down with a puddle of oil. I specifically told her that I wanted my upper chest and neck to be included...not my breasts. It's just not in my nature to "demand" anything. That is 100% not my character. My friends would laugh if they knew someone claimed I did that. While on the table I asked to cut the massage down to 30 minutes because it was so uncomfortable. I orginally asked for an hour. I am not the kind of person who would ever entertain or request something like I was getting (nor have I ever). It's hard to believe she had any experience or training. In fact, the women who brought me back to the room quickly left and someone else took over while I was pretty much facedown on the table. I'm not sure if this may have been somebody that just stepped in on a whim because there wasn't anyone else available. The lady at the front desk was extremely dismissive. I left feeling more tense and anxious than when I walked in. I never said it was "too expensive." I don't think anyone would think $50 ($55 + tip) for a 30 min massage (even with 10 minutes extra thrown in) would be considered expensive. Extremely reasonable. I understand she replied to this comment with a response that was not accurate at all in terms of what happened. Again, very defensive.
