I called and asked for it to be fixed. No problem. I arrived a little early, but was ushered immediately into room 1. I asked to use the restroom first. When I came out of the restroom, I was ushered back into room one and the door was shut behind me. No instructions. I figured that I should probably change, so I started to undress. I had gotten down to my underwear when there was a quick knock at the door and the door opened. Someone announced "changing room." I originally thought she meant that she wanted me to undress in a changing room, but she actually wanted me to go to room 2. I got into room 2 and undressed. Still no instructions. There was a narrow strip of cloth, so I attempted to cover myself with it, but it was too narrow. I was still confused a little. I can't tell how long I waited because I didn't have my watch on and there was no clock in the room. The masseuse arrived and asked what I wanted today. Hot stone massage. She meant what part of my body I wanted her to concentrate on. Low back and feet. Ok. She'd do the massage first and then hot stones. Great. Medium pressure. Ok. The massage was a little too hard at first, but I spoke up and she adjusted the pressure. I could feel my back relaxing. Unfortunately, I'm ticklish on my feet and I wasn't able to handle the lighter pressure on them. But it was still a great massage. Suddenly, someone opened the door to room two and started speaking loudly to the masseuse. It was jarring since everything else was so quiet and I was mostly unclothed other than the narrow strip of cloth. No privacy with the door wide open! And speaking so loudly when I was trying to relax was ridiculous. We got to the hot stone part and the masseuse kept dropping the stones. Bang. The wall. Plop. The floor. Oops onto the table. I would have given 5 stars other than the online errors, the wide open door, the loud voices and the dropping of the stones. It was a good massage with a few minor drawbacks.

Sweet! I decided to give them another chance and take them up on their offer. I replied to their email with a proposed date for an appointment. To my dismay, a week passes with no response. Despite a follow-up, yet another week passes with no response. (Scratching head) I thought you wanted to make it up to my Mother and I? After all, you only ruined our Mother's Day last year. There's absolutely no stress about buying memberships, coming back regularly, etc. Their massage therapists are very knowledgeable and really know what they are doing. The spa itself was very inviting with great parking. Ann gave a wonderful massage that definitely eased muscle tension and relaxed my body from head to toe. She is a beautiful soul and really is blessed with such a talent! I went in because I had fallen a few months back and my knee and hip were hurting. She worked on my knee and it already feels soo much better. She also told me how to massage that knee at home when I am perhaps watching TV or before bed! I will surely take her advice. She also found my left back shoulder blade was very tense! She worked on it and explained that the stress from my left knee had not only affected my left hip but also my back left shoulder blade! I could feel the tension and she worked to get the knots out! She was so patient and amazing and my shoulder blade also felt better! It is amazing how one injury can affect other parts of our body! I call it a transition because I feel as if I have risen to a higher level. Griselda has a gift of finding all the pinch points and works on them in a very healing way. She is very thorough and adds a lot of nice "touches" to her massages like warm towels and warm eye covers. I walk out feeling completed relaxed and transformed. I am not one that can easily sit still for 1 hour and in the past have been a chatterbox during my massages, however, with Griselda I find myself fully relaxed and submerged in a meditative state. I've had Julie two years in a row now and she is just so sweet and amazing at her work--highly recommend her! She does a great Swedish with hot stones......... Four of us got Swedish massages and we all came out of there looking completely disheveled, but at peace. Lol! They offered us oranges and water afterward which was a nice touch, and the location is top-tier since you can just walk to lunch or wherever you're going next. I called to make an appointment for this birthday and owner, Jin, was super responsive and communicative. We scheduled a 75 min hot stone massage, but when I chatted with Lillie about areas of the body to focus on, she customized the massage to my needs and didn't end up using the hot stones, other than a few as heating elements to rest on my body. She and Jin were so kind to adjust the price down as the massage I got was a bit cheaper. As a fitness instructor, I love anatomy and learning about the human body. Lillie is beyond knowledgeable, and super passionate about what she does. I told her that I sometimes get tension between my eyes and she explained that it could come from my eyeglass prescription being slightly off, or it could come from jaw tension and tension in my neck and pectoral muscles! Fascinating! It all makes sense. Loved Lillie's energy and her balance of gentle and firm massage. This sweet spa is conveniently located in downtown Healdsburg, across from the Police Station, just tucked down an alley. The space was clean and peaceful. I can't wait to go back! I won't wait another year, that's for sure!
