Rather than the historically accurate and moving drama of the past, the new director seems to have changed the act into one heavily permeated with frivolity and foolishness. There was a great deal of what he called native dancing that was nothing more than many kids simply kicking their feet in the air. And the girl they have playing Ramona this season does not sing well yet they had her struggling to carry a tune more than once. The show was lightly attended, and I doubt that it will do much better for the few performances remaining.

The Friday dinner dances are not fun anymore either. The food is not as as healthy and a lot less tasty. It's hard to accomplish both of these negative attributes at the same time. The music is now nothing but bad country music for line dancers. To be fair, occasionally a good country band will play, but it's country. Good bands that can play country and a variety of different music genres are no longer asked to play there. Us swing dancers or freestyle dancers don't feel welcome anymore. It's a sad situation and I don't see it getting better in the future. We have decided not to rejoin.

The vibrant color and soothing scent are instantly relaxing. So many soothing benefits. The farm is beautifully maintained, and there's something special about breathing in the fresh lavender-scented air while wandering through the fields. There are bees, as to be expected (lol), but that's something to keep in mind. They also offer quality lavender products (like soaps, lotions, and oils) that make perfect gifts or personal treats. These can easily be ordered online as well. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Whether you're stopping by for photos, to shop, or simply to enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by blooming lavender, it's a wonderful experience. For the You-Pick Event, admission is $30 per group (As of 06/30/2025), which includes time on the farm and a tube to fill with lavender, no matter the size of your group. Extra tubes are $10. If you don't want to pick, you can use your admission toward $30 worth of farm-made lavender products. Either way, it's a win-win. If you missed their You-Pick Event, don't worry, they often extend the dates, like they did this year! Lavender typically blooms from mid-June to mid-July, so be sure to check their website. I got a decent amount of lavender, looks like 500 or so stems. The young man inside was a fellow USD alumni always cool run into a fellow Torrero. The lavender is organic, so safe make things with. Fun activity. Their shop had lavender soaps, spritz, balms, masks and sachets among options to buy. Based on the experience definitely worth the 30 admission, getting lost, and picking lavender.

I regret hiring Mariposa Content…read more It's been over two weeks and Fabiola hasn't replied to my last email I sent her on July 19th. I was planning to follow up but considering it's been almost 3 months since our event and I've consistently had to follow up to get a response, she's taken up enough of my time for the $200 dollar partial refund she offered. I wasn't planning on leaving a review, but since Fabiola blocked us from being able to view her stories on Instagram while trying to resolve the issues we had professionally, I felt compelled to share my experience. To start on a positive note, our initial phone conversations were pleasant, and on the day of our event she seemed to be attentive. All the issues we had with Fabiola at Mariposa Content Co could have been easily avoided. Unfortunately the issues we had with her came down to delayed responses, poor communication, a poor judgement call, failure to expedite the delivery of our external hard drive, lack of professionalism and poor editing work. Almost three months later and we still haven't been able to resolve and close this project. At this point, I've given her plenty of time to resolve this and not once has she apologized for all the inconveniences nor admitted to any wrongdoing. The contract states that the raw content would be delivered within 24-72 hours and edited videos within 3-4 days. Neither deadline was met. After reviewing the original gallery, I discovered that approximately half of the captured content was missing and had to be provided later after multiple follow-ups. The raw content gallery was the primary reason we hired her, so this was a significant issue. Of the edited videos included in our package, one planned video was never filmed, and another contained obvious editing flaws. The situation became even more frustrating when delivery of the external hard drive was delayed for two weeks over a relatively small shipping fee of $50.75 she wanted upfront, further postponing access to all the footage. Even after receiving the drive, renamed files, duplicate filenames, and missing files made it impossible for me to independently verify that 100% of our content was delivered. I was willing to resolve the matter through a reasonable partial refund, but we were unable to reach an agreement. The core part of her service is to deliver all the raw content captured and she couldn't even to that. One of our main deliverables was supposed to feature photos displayed inside the ring effect. Instead, there's no photo in parts of the video and a noticeable green-screen border was left visible around the edges, making the final video appear unfinished and poorly edited. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Fabiola or Mariposa Content Co.

okay i need to talk about Mariposa Content Co because she is SO talented it's actually unreal…read more context: my husband's in the military so we only had ONE weekend to elope at the courthouse in Biloxi. no guests, no time to plan, just us and total chaos trying to make it happen. i was honestly stressed about even fitting a content creator into the mix but I'm SO glad we did because she made it work perfectly. her communication was so easy the entire time, she got what we needed, worked around our tight timeline, and never once made us feel like an inconvenience even though we basically gave her zero notice. she just got it. and the content?? we did SO many tiktoks that day, like an unreasonable amount, and she was down for all of it lol. she has such a good eye, caught all the little real moments (shaky hands, the walk up to the courthouse, us being unable to stop smiling) but also made the fun goofy stuff hit different too. best of both worlds honestly. and she got everything back to us so fast, no waiting around wondering how it turned out. honestly she made our wedding day feel extremely special. with everything being so rushed and last minute, she brought this energy that made it feel like a real, intentional, beautiful day instead of just something we squeezed in. that means everything to us. if you're eloping, doing a small wedding, whatever, and you're worried it's "too small" to hire someone for, don't even think twice. book her. her talent and dedication to actually capturing YOUR day is so rare. we're obsessed Thank you Fabiola!!
