I was welcomed in and Victor greeted me. Let me tell you about this guy...He is the Most Patient Dude on Earth! He told me to look around...and I did. I wasn't pressured, I wasn't followed like a dude on a car lot like the "other place". He asked me how much I was willing to spend, and he totally delivered. Not only did he stay in my price range, he provided me with three other center diamonds to choose from! I walked away completely happy with a Bigger Diamond, a Better Diamond, and More Money saved in my pocket. Now all the settings he sells are custom made and one of a kind. The diamonds he carries are all certified. Bottom line. If its your first time shopping for an engagement ring, on a budget and want a no hassle, no pressure one hitter quitter for shopping then Diamonds by Angie is the place to be. I Do recommend going to other places to shop to, but you'll find yourself going back to Diamonds by Angie because of the the quality, experience, professionalism, and savings you'll get at DBA. I returned the ring I bought at Robins Brothers. I'll never set foot in that store again. that store total raped my for my money. But what stood out to me was his character. He showed me two diamonds that were very similar in size, appearance, and clarity, with one being technically "better" and the other diamond having similar specs but was a little bit less expensive. After looking at the two very carefully under the magnifying lens and giving both the "eyeball" test, I had my favorite of the two and asked Samir what he thought. He examined them carefully and said that despite the more expensive one being technically superior, he thought the other option was actually shinier and the better choice -- I had reached the same conclusion but wanted to see if he'd push for the pricier diamond. His honesty revealed to me that he's fair and isn't out to just make the most money out of a sale. I love love love my ring! I just recently got engaged on 11/21/11 and my fiancé bought the setting and the diamond at this fabulous store. I couldn't ask for a more beautiful, clear diamond. I gave this place multiple attempts to sell me a engagement ring/wedding ring for my 25th wedding anniversary I want something really nice (big budget) I told them I was press on time because I want to repurpose to my wife under the Eiffel Tower on a family vacation we are having in June, I was recommend by a friend I figured I'll call them before to make sure they had the size carat diamonds I wanted to see as I know the bigger ones are not always available. I gave her my budget I told her I want gia certified diamond, I told her I wanted to come a certain day she said she couldn't because they had a funeral, ok I understood I told her I would call her back 2 days after her event . I called and left a message that we had spoke and that I was very interested in ring to please call me back. She never did . I called 3 days later I had to reexplain everything over to her again, I ask her please I want to come in on Friday of that week to look at the diamonds once again she told me she had to bring that size in and that she will call me back to confirm she would have them by then, of course she never called back I had my cell phone my business number no call . I finally called again this time she answered I explain to her that I'm really serious about purchasing a ring from them as my good friend had given me the recommendations. I told her it's been 2 weeks I've been calling and wanting to come in to start the purchase because I know custom rings take weeks to make and I'm leaving on this trip soon and all I got was a attitude and rudeness and a feeling as I was bothering her . I was ready to spend 30k plus with them and she knew this and she couldn't even till day bother to even call me back . In the long run I found a fantastic diamond jeweler and I'm so excited to have my 2.56 carat diamond ring being made and ready for pick up at the end of May . I checked out a few other shops in the jewelry district before finding Samir at diamonds by Angie. Most of the other places that I looked had pretty generic and standard styles... Mostly in white gold or platinum. I knew I wanted some thing a little more unique and in yellow gold and Samir had a lot more options than anyone else. My boyfriend and I were planning to get engaged and I wanted to get an idea of what I liked so I could share with him and he could make the decision. Samir was super helpful in explaining to us the process in building a ring and in educating us on the different types of quality.
