Due to the poor communication, customer service and incredibly slow speed, I declined and asked for a refund. If it's surprising to hear this from a store with a high review score, know that I've attached the letter that they sent me. It's against federal law to ask a customer to sign a document like this and I suspect that they have been practicing illegal business practices for a long time. She repeatedly emphasized their "40 years in the business" said they would be able to tell. Instead of feeling reassured, it felt condescending. The husband was a bit more polite, but no more helpful. He gave excuse after excuse for why he couldn't set the stone--claiming silver would "contaminate his tools" and that it was too risky, even after I said I understood the risk and was fine with it. Eventually, it became clear they had no intention of helping. He even mentioned he only sets gold or platinum pieces--unless you're a private friend. In the end, I thanked them for their time and walked out with nothing accomplished. If you're hoping to get anything set in silver, or expect flexibility and professionalism, I would strongly caution you before going here. They seem to pick and choose who they'll help, and unless you fit their preference (or circle of friends), you may find yourself turned away with excuses.

I was pretty bummed because I don't live close and I was there during store hours but I did realize that since this is Covid 2020, hours can be wonky. So I call them and leave a message about what happened. I get a call back pretty soon and they are so apologetic, tell me that if I want, they will come drop of my ring.
