So, I came here for the first time about a year ago to get a teeth cleaning and everything went fine. All the dentists here are really friendly and the front staff is super nice and helpful. Overall, a very friendly environment. This past March, I went in because one of my teeth started to become sensitive to cold liquids. The dentist that saw me was very nice but the exam was super quick. The exam was less than 5 minutes. She looked at my x-rays and used an instrument to press down on my teeth to see which one was causing me pain and she said that I needed a root canal. This surprised me because I take good care of my teeth. I figured things happen and I didn't really question it. They quoted me $3,100 for the whole procedure. Unfortunately, my insurance didn't cover it. So, they were gracious enough to give me a 20% discount and it was now around $2,450. I really appreciated the discount but it was still way too expensive for me. I set my appointments right away to get it all done but something inside me told me that I should shop around and get a second opinion. I went to see another dentist and when they examined me, I didn't mention that I had visited this dental office nor did I mention that I was told that I needed a root canal. I just told the dentist about the cold sensitivity in the lower jaw area and she did a much more thorough exam. She did a couple thermal tests to test for sensitivity and was able to identify the exact same tooth that was causing me the pain. She said that I had a crack in my tooth and that the pulp was irritated but still alive and that it was reversible. She recommended that I get a good cleaning and then a new filling and that would take care of it. I asked about needing a root canal and she said no, not at all. I went ahead and had the new filling done. While replacing the filling, she discovered a cavity underneath the old filling. She treated the cavity and put in the new filling. It's a wait and see to see if this works but what I appreciate about the second dentist is that they are exploring all possible treatment options before jumping to the root canal. I am disappointed in this dental office because I didn't feel that the exam was as thorough as it could have been and I felt that the dentist was very quick to say that I needed a very expensive root canal. So, moral of the story is, when in doubt, get a second opinion. read more

I got Zoom whitening performed here thanks to groupon. There was some wait in the lobby but other than that it was a smooth appointment. They insisted I get the pain gel and night bleaching kit. I had already heard the pain was nasty so I was gonna get it anyway so I brushed off their pushiness. The procedure was fast but it freaked me out. I'm claustrophobic so I kinda freaked out while they attached all the crap and positioned me. I had to keep thinking you already paid and got the time off from work to get thru it :( I would recommend Zoom whitening at this location because everyone was nice and knew what they were doing. I would however advise you to skip the pain gel because they don't give you enough. Just have the procedure done late, take pain pills and go to bed. By morning there won't be any paid :] read more

I've been going to see Dr. Diana Z. at this spot since October 2007--she was referred to me by my friend and roommate. They were located on Fairfax, just across from the Park La Brea complex, but now they're on Wilshire blvd. in Beverly Hills. Dr. Z and her team are SO incredibly professional. They acknowledge you immediately, provide you with thorough services (I got invisalign and get cleanings). Dr. Z. is an amazing dentist, and is one of a handful of dentists that provide dental work to the special needs community. This place is spectacular. Their new office is nice, clean, modern, and they have a parking garage as well as street parking. Go get those grimy teeth cleaned up and those snaggles straightened. read more

I received a call to confirm my appointment, which I confirmed, and an email which I confirmed that I would be in. When I got there on the day of my appointment a heavy set woman at the front desk said I could not be seen even though they had called me the business day before to confirm. She did not even offer to reschedule, and acted as if it was my fault. I was fortunate as I found out from an Oral Surgeon in the area that the work they wanted to do was not needed. Once this dentist moved her offices to Beverly Hills is when my problems started. Her unprofessional and sub-standard care caused me physical pain, jaw problems, 2 root canals, and an extraction. She also "farmed" me for root canals to her ""best friend" I later discovered, Dr. Fanny Yackermann, also of Beverly Hills. This dentist over medicated me, caused two infections after treatments, and a 2 month visit to a chiropractor due to her shoddy work. When I returned to Dr. Zschaschel, she tried to distance herself from the problems. SHE WAS MY PRIMARY CARE DENTIST AND REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING. It got worse when my jaw started to cause me problems. Twice after cleanings I got infections. She would also place me in a room, with tools on my chest, and leave me there for 20-30 minutes at a time, unattended, while she bounced from room to room. Then I discovered the two-tier pricing, as she would quote one thing and charge the insurance company double. The final straw was one last infection and the examination room seems cluttered and dirty. Not to mention, her staff would charge my credit card without authorization. Now she is trying to come after my partner for disputed charges for me. Im in the process of considering legal action and reporting her and her friend Dr. Yackerman of Beverly Hills to the Dental Board of California. Once I escaped her care and went to another dentist I felt saved! For almost 2 years I have had no additional problems. No infections, root canals, or extractions. I rarely review but I felt it important to let others know the pain and suffering this "dentist" and her cohort caused me. DON'T go to this dentist. read more

I bought the groupon deal for the zoom whitening. Overall it was a nice and clean office with a professional staff. They got me in quickly and the treatment room had a nice view and was comfortable. I did four 15 minute treatments of the zoom and got teething trays made. They got the trays to me by the end of the treatment which I appreciated a lot. The zoom worked and my teeth were noticeably whiter. My only issue was that they do not validate parking and they are in a very pricey valet parking garage. I personally would not pay $17 plus tip every I go to the dentist. I didn't notice any street parking but maybe I didn't look hard enough. I don't have any serious dental issues so that opinion could change if I had an issue and the right dentist happened to be in an expensive building. I also wish the dentist was a little more involved in my procedure. I only saw her once and was taken care of entirely by hygienists. I was a bit nervous too because of my sensitivity issues. But overall it turned out well. I would recommend this dentist. read more
