Dr. Prelutsky is fantastic. Very affordable and does great work. I had to have a complete deep cleaning, about six cavities filled and an infection, cleaned out of an old root canal. Aside from the needle of the initial Novacaine injections, I didn't feel any pain whatsoever during the process, and it's been months since he finished the work and everything still feels great. I would never have called a dentist visit fun, before now! Dr. P made going to the dentist easy, and dare I say, "FUN!". First, the office is completely teched out. X-Rays by computer, no need to develop film ...truth is, I guess it seems like my last dentist visit was in the dinosaur age. Once moved into a working cube, there is another monitor set up to show you your pearly whites (or what soon will be), and once Dr. P gets to work, the headphones come out with your choice of YouTube music and a set of headphones to keep those lovely dental noises out of your space and take you to a happy and blissful place. I found Beverlywood Dental 4 years ago. My previous dentist would find multiple cavities and require I get multiple fillings each visit. Eventually, I realized that I needed to find a new dentist. Dr Prilutsky has a lot of integrity - exactly what I was looking for. It's been four years and he just recently mentioned that I will need to get a filling at some point for a growing cavity. He was not pushy, and walked me through the xrays so I would see what he saw. He is also really hilarious. The strip mall that the dentist is located in is a little sketchy. But, that isn't a reflection on the office at all. My car has always been fine even if I have to park a block away. I recently went during COVID to get an overdue teeth cleaning, and I was happy with their safety protocols. I moved away from Mid City a few years ago, but I am willing to drive the extra 30-45 minutes to continue coming back to Berverlywood Dental. read more

Beverlywood Dental goes out of its way to provide a comfortable dental experience. Unfortunately located in a ghetto mini-mall on Venice and La Cienega Blvds, they keep the riff-raff out by buzzing your entry. For a $55 consultation, you're able to get digital x-rays, which they will quickly email to you upon request (I got mine within 45 minutes of coming home). After the x-rays, the Dr. will sit down with you at the dentist chair to exam the results on a flat screen monitor attached above the dentist chair. I learned a lot about the structure of my mouth in this 5 minute review-- I have never experienced this before at at dentist's office, but then again, its been a several years since I've had my teeth cleaned in America. Following review of the x-rays, the Dr. then took a wand with a camera on the tip to take color photos of my teeth, as it displayed in real-time above me on the monitor! Again, I've never experienced this before! It was very cool, and I could see exactly what he was referring to what needed work in my mouth. After this, prices vary-- I received a standard cleaning for $80, which went by easily enough. The electric scraping tool (another new experience, my previous dentists have always used manual tools) does make the WORST noise possible against your teeth-- and I'm not squeamish! But the dentist provides the patient with padded headphones that are plugged into that nifty monitor, and you can choose your desired music to listen to while he scrapes away at your mouth. Additionally, he'll give you little glasses to wear to keep the flying bits of tooth jerky out of your eyes. The office itself is minimal-- there is zero decor (aside from some cheap holiday decorations), but comfortable enough. Its very small, run by Dr. Yigal Prilutsky and his handful of Dentist Assistants, who were very kind during my visit. The office could use a little love, or some paint on the walls, but other than that this place is clean and offers great service! read more

I posted a review earlier in which I complained about some technology snafus and some mixups and miscommunications with the front office, but I'm replacing the review because Dr. Prilutsky took the time to contact me and apologize and even make sure that the X-rays he took got sent on to my new dentist. I should emphasize, I never had a single problem with him as a dentist or a person. When I did my consultation and exam with him he was very kind and patient (and I am a very difficult patient, believe me!), and I appreciate that he was so helpful even when our series of misfortunes caused me to seek out another dentist. When we were discussing my teeth & treatment, he really seemed to know his stuff, and I think if I'd had better luck with the technology/communication stuff I'd probably still be seeing him. I feel confident that anyone who goes to visit him will be happy with his service, and that my experience with him has inspired him to look into whatever caused our front-office miscommunications so it won't happen to anyone else. I think the plethora of good reviews of the site shows that my frustrating experience was a very unusual one. You also have to love a guy who cares as much as he obviously does about what his patients think; he really went out of his way to apologize and try to get to the bottom of what happened, even though he knew I was already seeing another dentist. So obviously it matters to him that future patients (maybe you!) are 100% satisfied. read more

We were doing the preliminary work for Invisalign (trays) etc and even though my measurements were out of the ordinary he found a quick solution and managed to do it in no time. I did my research and checked my insurance website for recommended dentists in my area. Dr. Prilutsky came up as an option so I decided to Yelp him and made an appointment last year. I know it has taken this long to Yelp him but better late than never :) He isn't a dentist who tries to sell more of his service. He is very thorough at everything and did a phenomenal job on my teeth. Don't mistake this place as a hole in the wall dentist office just because it is near a small liquor store and laundry mat. Just because you go to a fancy dentist office/location, doesn't always mean the best service. i will be coming back for another cleaning. So Dr. P is my dentist, and I actually found him right here on Yelp, while looking only at great, and real reviews. Based on the reviews I of course gave it a shot, and wasn't disappointed. My situation was alot more serious than just a cleaning, as I have severe TMJ. I think for me, the most outstanding thing about choosing a Dr, is someone who is always fair in what they charge, and someone who looks out for your best interest when you don't know what to do, as well as the quality of care you get. This man, truly spent so much time and gave so much of himself, that I would feel so guilty going anywhere else, but I wouldn't have to anyway, because his expertise is world class, and for areas that I need that he doesn't specialize in, he sends me right away those who command his respect. The bottom line for me was that I was put at ease, and remain so because what I got, was great and consistent care, and absolute access during emergencies. I mean really, what do you want. I came here sometime last year to get a check up. Never was able to go back since my ins didn't cover Beverlywood. The doctors,techs and nurses were great and sweet. I was a bit nervous coming in but everything went out quite smoothly. I miss this place and will be coming back once the company changes insurance providers. I grew up in the neighborhood, and never came to the dentist here. Actually found their good reviews on yelp. First & foremost, prices are unbeatable. I don't really care much for decor and fancy waiting rooms, like you're just going to get your teeth cleaned, as long as the doctor is nice and they give you good results. You get much more than that here though! I was soo busy jamming out to the strokes while getting my cleaning, (He asked me what I wanted to hear on youtube, and provided headphones so I could jam out) I almost didn't feel the pain/sensitivity when it came to my sensitive teeth. We all know how much that hurts. I got my xrays, cleaning and I'm going to start the whitening take home process. They are even so accommodating with appointments, I had to cancel last min for my first appointment, but the receptionist happily changed to another date. Love this place. Get to listen music i choose on headphones or without whichever I choose and get offered sunglasses so I won't be blinded by the light. Dr. Prilutszky has a very soft hand when it comes to Dental work and is great for sensitive patients. He works quickly too. I couldn't believe how fast he put in my fillings. This place of business is absolutley FANTASTIC. I am always on the edge when I visit the dentist office. But this place here was amazing. Professional, warm and technologically advanced. My gf and I visited after having not had a check up for a while. We entered the door and were greeted immediately, filled out some paperwork and went right in to get digital/immediate xrays, when I say immediate I mean literally to the second. They took xrays of our teeth then went to another room where we talked about the health of our mouths as well as the plans to correct things and/or what to do for preventative maintenance. The technology they utilized was so impressive I had to write a review. While waiting for a few minutes there are a series of small well done informative videos that teach you about caring for your mouth. While cleaning your teeth they have a mini camera that can look live time inside your mouth so they can actually see in and around and everywhere to make sure they do an absolutely thorough job. Couple this with the fact they have headphones and an array of music available via a website (ANY music you can imagine) to listen to and relax while they do their job in your mouth. The music is a distraction but it sets you into a calm relaxed mood and made the experience very enjoyable, literally the most fun experience I've ever had in my entire life while getting my teeth cleaned. The cleaning was painless and my gf and I agreed we had found our Dentist for life, partially thanks also to our new brighter nicer smiles and gums. I intend to take my brother and cousin to him next. Their practice is the TOP in their field and the cost was VERY inexpensive compared to what I thought it was going to be.
