She always makes sure that I understand what she's doing and why. I always leave feeling like I'm safe and well taken care of. She has removed parts of my body with a razor blade multiple times and I still like her this much. (Biopsies! Even those don't suck here). I'm very burnt out on doctors, but coming here is a pleasure. Front desk and receptionists are also always pleasant! I've never had any trouble scheduling or billing.

Unfortunately, my experience throughout the Accutane process at Skincare Physicians has been…read moredisappointing. The biggest issue was the lack of communication. As a first-time Accutane patient, I often felt like it was assumed I already knew how everything worked, and when I didn't, there was very little guidance. The scheduling department was also very rude at times. After hours of trying to get in touch with someone, I was told I couldn't be seen until August and was made to feel like the situation was entirely on me. Only after finally speaking with a nurse was I able to get the help I needed. At my fifth appointment, I was suddenly told my insurance didn't cover out-of-state visits, despite having already been seen there multiple times without anyone ever mentioning this. Had I known that from the beginning, I could have planned accordingly. I take responsibility for anything I may have misunderstood or missed, but I wish the office would also acknowledge that better communication could have prevented a lot of this. I'm only staying to finish my Accutane course, but overall this experience has been emotionally exhausting. Anyone who has struggled with acne knows how difficult that journey can be, and I wish I had felt more supported throughout the process.

*sigh* It's been one problem after another since BMC took over from St. E's, where I'd been a…read morepatient for over 24 years without a single issue. I got a letter from BMC about a problem with Medicare. Though the envelope was addressed to me, the letter was addressed to someone else. TWO someones in fact: At the top it says "To: Isabel something" and in the body it says "Dear Pinnace somebody." And "Medicare file has a conflict with your name, date of birth and/or gender." Ya think?? You are clearly confused, BMC. Are you using AI maybe? I only ask because I have had Medicare at St. Elizabeth's for five years without a problem and now you have taken over and everything seems quite shall we say, fucked. So I called BMC, waited on hold, talked to someone I could barely hear--she sounded like she was at the bottom of a well. She put me on hold again, and after a while, without coming back, transferred me back to the main menu again. I pressed the option I thought was best and got put into a hold queue. For 25 minutes. Finally I pressed the option to get a call back. The recording said "Do you want a call back at..." and said a totally different number that isn't me at all. *sigh* My sweet Lord, these people have no clue. They give you a chance to enter a different number, so I did that. That was two hours ago. Now it's after five. I put a note in the patient portal, but they give you so few characters to write that I could hardly explain what happened. In the portal I saw a category for "Letters," presumably for the Letters they sent to you? I checked, and it says that I have no Letters. But I have this Letter in my hand. God, I miss St. E's.

Providers run up to 45 mins behind, regardless of the time of your appointment. Equipment and rooms are dirty, old and outdated. There is one very nice medical assistant who makes this experience somewhat pleasant. The Providers seem to switch out every 3-4 months on rotation, I have seen some truly terrible MDs and some very decent ones. Coming here once a month is miserable.

I have been doing injections like botox and juvaderm for awhile & trying to find the best nurse for years... BINGO here she is, Elizabeth! She actually educates you on the products and talks you through it which is great because a lot of others I've been to are quick to stick needles in your face and grab your money. Elizabeth is not like that at all her goal is help her clients achieve a look that they are both comfortable and pleased with. I love the staff here, not only are they beautiful but so professional and down to earth. Please don't waste your time searching anywhere else, this is where you should be going if you want to get the best injections. I'm loving my results and can't wait to go back.

I made them aware 48 hours before cancelation (per their rules). They initially denied me, saying it should be within 48 hours. I do not understand the disconnect between why the person I was talking to (Andrea) had told me she received my email and was "planning on calling me back." and why I still had to argue about why I should receive my deposit of $250 back. I talked to the manager, who also made it hard for me initially (giving me the same spiel about 48 hours, when I did?!!) but eventually gave me my money back. This tells me: They do not care about their policies (because I did just as they required). It was about keeping my deposit. Money. This is an awful business and doesn't deserve your hard-earned money!

I repeatedly explained that my pain was in a different area than what he suggested, but my input often seemed to fall on deaf ears. When I finally got him to focus on my concerns, he agreed to review my MRI data--something I would have expected to be done early on, before recommending treatment. Unfortunately, when I arrived for the MRI review, he was 45 minutes late and informed me that he had been unable to access the MRI due to technical difficulties. When I asked why he hadn't called to cancel the appointment, he replied that he didn't realize I had one scheduled. Dr. E may work well for other patients, but my experience was not positive. I want a physician who listens carefully and reviews available imaging before making recommendations--Dr. E did not meet those expectations. In my opinion, it may be worth looking elsewhere, though others may feel differently.

I had not been in for a few years (living out-of-state during Covid made it impossible), but had an emergency with my ear earlier this week created by a mistake at my new PCP's office (note to self: continue search for new PCP). I called Dr. Vernick's office the next day and spoke with Anna - we had a nice chat, she told me she joined the office a couple of months ago and helped me get in ASAP. She recommended I see Mary, the office's RN, and was able to make an appt for me first-thing the following morning. Mary was amazing, looked at both ears to see what happened and then explained in nice, easy-to-understand terms what happened and what to do. My pharmacy let me know 6 hours later (!!!) that one of the two prescriptions she ordered for me was unavailable, so I called the office to go with option #2. I left a message for Mary, she called me back a few minutes later and sent in the next request. I have a follow-up with Mary in two weeks, and am starting to feel a little better after just starting 2 antibiotics. A BIG thank you to Anna and Mary!!
