This was the best dental experience I've ever had, and I sincerely appreciated Dr. Del and the dental hygienists being so amazing. To start, the office and receptionist make the environment feel so warm and welcoming. The dental hygienists made the teeth cleaning process an enjoyable and easy, while giving great dental advice. And then Dr. Del was extremely thorough and transparent, while making it a comfortable experience. He went through every x-ray image with me in full detail and really took time to explain the images to me. Their cameras and X-Ray machines were extremely advanced too. I hate X-rays and they actually cut out 21 individual images with 1 machine doing a holistic image. It was awesome. Finding new doctors in a city you didn't grow up in can be exhausting and typically ends up being a sub par experience. Let me start off by telling you Dr. Del's office is about an hour drive for me and the only reason I would consider driving that far is because he came highly recommended by a friend. Before I ever came in I was in correspondence with the office via email letting them know the service I needed and to get an estimate. I was very pleased with their quick response. What is most important I was very comfortable with Dr. Del and all of his staff! A couple months ago, when I found it necessary to change dentists, I contacted his office. They emailed me the usual forms for me to fill out, including my insurance information. I completed everything and walked it over to his office which is about 200 yards from my condo. Today, about two months later, the first appointment I could get, I arrived at his office. I was promptly told that they didn't accept either of my Delta policies. I was told that they were HMO polies, and they take only PPOs. I contacted Delta and they told me that one was an HMO, but the other a PPO. I called the office again and was told I would have to pay more with my PPO at their office. It seems clear that they didn't want me as a patient. They wasted my time by not telling me until two months after submitting the information. Now I must waste more time trying to find another dentist. read more

Dr Del is a competent, honest, and skilled dentist. My husband and I have been seeing him for a variety of dental cares for more than 5 years, and now my young sons do, too. (2 and 5 years) The work done in Dr Del's office has *never* disappointed me. Sometimes I've had follow-up questions, and I've never had issues reaching someone to answer a question. Care options and cost are fully explained, too. Recently Dr. Del made my son "Patient of the Month." My son was so excited and, at 5, is a faithful tooth-brusher. I was a dental assistant for 15 years while I put myself through college. During this time I saw a lot of good and a lot of bad. I never worked for Dr. Del. But I know good dental work when I see it. The front office is friendly and efficient. They are clear on their treatment plans and never make you feel bad. I do not have insurance and they only take PPO's so no HMO's. I do use Care Credit and they have a year payment with deferred interest. I have seen Dr. Del for a crown, which he made for me while I waited. They have headphones and a tv on the ceiling of each room. I reviewed the before and after X-rays and it is seated perfectly. It was a long appointment, but it was nice to not have to reschedule. This all porcelain crown for my lateral incisor only cost me around $1000. I went to another place that wanted to charge me twice that with my HMO that I had then. I have seen 2 different hygienist in the last 4 years that I have been going. Both were very friendly and thorugh. I send everyone I know to Dr. Del. I know that I have written a review for Dr Del But I would to add a few comments. After going to another dentist for deep cleaning and root planing which cost me many dollars I ended up with a gum blister and also a bacteria under one of my crowns. Several years ago I asked a hygienist friend of mine, of all the dentists she has worked for, which dentist is the best in their work and most honest, and she told me Dr. Delagrammaticas. Ever since then, I have been one of their many happy and satisfied clients. He and his staff are very friendly, and he has a very calm demeanor. Dr. Del was also able to straighten some of my front teeth using retainers, which has saved me a lot of money, versus the cost and time of braces. My son also now goes to Dr. Del and is having minor teeth adjustments with retainers, and his teeth now look great! The only drawback is his office does not have any evening or weekend appointments. I am dental phobic but this office is amazing! Dr. Del has state of the art equipment and knows how to use it. I had 3 crowns prepped and completed in one afternoon because he has the equipment to do it on site. The crowns were computer generated and fit perfectly. He was able to numb me enough so I had no pain and was quite comfortable throughout the procedure. The staff are very sweet - very professional and not pushy trying to sell you stuff you don't need. If my rating system was 1-10 (10 being the highest) I would have to give Dr. Del and his staff at least a 15! Yes, honestly, they are that good. And I'm a very particular person. From the first encounter on the phone to schedule an appointment, to the actual dental work, all was exceptional. All of his staff are polite, professional, friendly, kind, and extremely competent. I was able to get appointments in a timely manner on the times and dates I needed. The receptionist looked up my insurance info while I was on the phone (took only seconds) and was able to tell me what to expect for my visits. I have had no issues what-so-ever with the billing and the initial estimates were exact once I got the treatment. The office is open, clean and comfortable - lots of space and windows. The location across from Lake San Marcos makes for an additional calming atmosphere (as well as easy, stress free parking!) Dr. Del is calm, gentle and extremely competent. I'm a nervous person, and when he sat down by me I could feel his calmness, which made me feel better immediately. He explains what your dental needs are in a way you can understand and shows you on your X-rays what will be done. He patiently answers any questions and listens to your concerns. I felt like a part of my treatment, rather than someone things were being "done to". I never felt rushed (and I ask a lot of questions). While he works on you, he and his staff continually check on your comfort and regularly keep you updated so you know the progress of your treatment and also when you're almost done. In addition, I felt no pain at all! Not even when I was getting the shot to numb my tooth. If you're a techie (like I am), you'll really enjoy watching him make your crown on the PC right by your chair (so cool!). If not, there are two TV screens (one in front of you, one in the ceiling). I'm sure if you wanted music, or a blanket, or any other comfort items they would be happily provided. On top of that, your crown is made right there in the office and put in place in about 20 minutes (after the tooth prep work). Incredible! No temporary crown, no second appointment with more numbing required. How awesome is that? The appointment is finished off with a nice warm towelette. I can't believe I'm typing this, but I'm actually looking forward to going back for my second crown appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Delagramaticas and his team. Give them a try for your dental needs, I promise you will be very happy. PS - the hygienist for my cleaning was awesome too, but I've raved enough. They really are that great! read more

By far the best experience I've ever had at the dentist. The staff is incredibly courteous and accommodating. I arrived 5 mins before my appointment and was immediately taken into the exam room (no waiting!). The technician was very gentle and the time flew by because of the tv on the ceiling! There was no wait time between my cleaning and exam by Dr. Del. Dr. Del was personable, friendly, and efficient. When the exam was complete, I checked out with the receptionist and was on my way. If I could give 100 stars, I would! Couldn't agree with the previous review of this office staff along with Dr. Del. I believe truly 'HONEST' dentists are hard to come by and with thousands of dollars of dental work, I think I can almost say that I am an expert at gauging dentists. I have had faulty dental work over the years with just frankly getting ripped off yet am very fortunate that I landed with Dr. Del and will stay put with him unless I move out of state. Aside from the fact that they offer Care Credit, the office staff has always been extremely accomodation when it comes to financial responsibilites with my bill. I never feel like Dr. Del pushes to purchase something I cannot afford at the time. He will figure out a way for you so that you are either not in pain or that u have a functioning tooth til you can afford something more permanent. Although I have a ton of dental work from the past, going into having to re-do most of the faulty work, I feel extremely lucky that they always make you feel important and will always try to find a way to accomodate you on a dental emergency which happens more often than not with me! State of the art equipment, nice staff, good chairside manners. If you're one of the neighborhoods who got the offer of a "free consultation" worth $125, please be aware that this doesn't include anything but sitting in the chair getting a look at your teeth! I was escorted through x-rays after the 15 minute look over, and the x-rays were not covered by the free consultation. In fact, I ended up spending $125 for x-rays I did not need or ask for and only found out they were "extras" (and how expensive they were" at the end of the process. ASK FIRST. Our previous dentist was good but we kick ourselves now for settling for average when we could have had outstanding. Even our kids recognize the difference in how gentle and professional Dr. Del is. As a 62 year old woman coming from much trauma and fear going to the dentist since childhood, I had neglected my teeth for the last 10 years and they were in really bad shape - missing fillings, cavities, lots of problems. I felt I was at a crossroad and was prepared to have all my teeth pulled and get dentures. I was in a lot of pain, and poised to pick up the phone and make an appointment to get dentures when my daughter-in-law recommended the dentist she and her family used since she was a kid. I looked up Dr Del's website and was pleasantly surprised he was voted the best dentist in San Diego the last few years. I was also impressed with his friendly and comprehensive website. So, I decided to make an appointment to see if he was like all the other dentists I had seen meaning, not listening to my concerns and fears and communicating specific details of a treatment plan that I could not only pay for, but that I could understand what to expect. Dr Del and his team were incredibly wonderful and looking back, I have no regrets! I was treated with kindness and compassion, and I knew Dr Del was not just interested in getting my money. He and his staff truly won me over and have done excellent work getting my teeth fixed.
