This was once my go to place... it's gone down hill, way down hill. They don't carry anything quality like they used to. Also they don't have hardly any sizes that fit and go together. Limited quantities and limited choices for such a big store it's now full of super cheesy stuff. Maybe they just got a horrible buyer. This store has been here for over 30 years! And there's good reason, they are knowledgeable, helpful, and most important. Their swimsuits are made extremely well. They have some thing for everybody type and personality, my dimensions are very hard to fit and I had options. I actually had a hard time picking which suit I wanted. Because the shoes are so well-made they last much longer than what you'd get from big bucks stores. Which makes it a good value for the price. You just have to make sure that you take care of your suit gently. read more

My friend and I came here in hopes of finding some new bikinis.. we've been here many times before they closed for a bit and always had a great time checking out the different bikini brands. However, this visit was HORRIBLE. We both left with such an ick. The employees are so overbearing, especially the older blonde woman. We felt like they were on top of us the entire time we were there. And then we tried on a couple bikinis.. my friend wanted to see mine so I opened the curtain a bit to show her.. and one of the employees said how's it going?! I said oh nothing special to see really.. the employee then proceeded to say I'm going to peak anyway. LIKE WHAT?! Definitely was not an invitation for you to come and look. The women that work at Diane's are amazing! I was dreading bikini shopping and they made the experience so great! I havnt shopped for a bikini in years, but I went here because I knew they had a big selection. The women that work there are experts. I told them what I was looking for, what my concerns were, looks I like and they really took the time to guide me and find a great bikini. I love Diane's. Been going there for years. However, I did not appreciate the service or time there yesterday, and I'm only writing this review here because the manager refused to listen in person. I've been trying all through the pandemic to get updates about when the store would open or what to do about unspent gift cards. I noticed it was open yesterday so I went in and asked an employee about the gift card. She said that unfortunately they aren't accepting gift cards anymore since the store changed its name from Diane's Beachwear to Diane's Bikinis and they can't confirm dollar amount. That's already odd, but I understand pandemic struggles. The girl goes on to say that she will honor the gift cards anyways, I just have to spend more than $135 (thats how much I had on my gift cards). So we spend about 1.5 hours looking through everything, trying stuff on, and deciding what to get. We finally get to the counter to check out and a different employee says they can't honor the gift cards. She calls the manager over and we explain what the first employee said. The manager goes over to the first employee and they're talking quietly amongst themselves. The manager says they can't honor the gift cards but she can do a bigger discount on top of the already 40% discount (40% off storewide). We kind of go back and forth deciding if we want to do that because we only walked in here to use the gift cards that we were told we could use. Plus, we already spent so much time and didn't want to leave empty-handed. So we check out and I ask for my gift cards back and they refuse to return them! I tried to explain that many companies went out of business during the pandemic and customers were still able to be reimbursed for gift cards through alternative ways and thats why I wanted them back, but she refused to return them and wouldn't even let me finish talking. I don't even think it is legal for her to do that considering those are equivalent to cash and she kept them! So not only did she make profit on the $135 in gift cards when they were sold and not used, she made profit on that day's purchase because all of her staff are misinformed apparently. She DOUBLE-DIPPED on a customer and that is WRONG. I can't be the only gift card to walk through that door, so idk if this is their new tactic or what but I felt scammed from start to finish. Had they told me from the beginning that the cards were no good, I would have immediately walked out. Get your staff on the same page so this doesn't happen again. read more

Bought a few bathing suits here, was happy with my two pieces a few yrs ago, came back for a couple different one, got a red one piece and was lovely, except this one bottom piece that I paid over a $100 (just the bottom not top) is faded after a few time used, very disappointed. They didn't listen or try to help which is really sad because I wasted $120 on a company who doesn't care about their customers. Not customer friendly shop. I'm from Switzerland and on vacation in California. I bought a bikini in the evening the light was bad, so aI saw not the color as it is st daytime. Next day I went to the shop early in the morning to get them back. (bikini not wear) there where no sign to inform the customer. No money back only to change or a voucher!! I absolutely fell in love with all their bathing suits. They have some of the most popular & gorgeous bathing suits I've seen. They have so many styles that every time I come im in there for two hours minimum. Today, I was helped by Missy? (Melissa I believe) she has the best customer service I have ever encountered! This lady was attentive, patient, and helpful since the moment I walked in. She literally had a smile on her face the whole time I was there and her vibrant personality really shined! I grew up in HB but never stepped foot into Diane's because I thought they were so expensive. I decided to venture in tonight because I thought there would be some good sale items during the winter - first, the sales associates were awesome!! Both were honest and funny and super helpful without being pushy to buy. I appreciated that they understood my hesitations about price and still wanted to help me find something that I felt great in. They were super encouraging and really helped me find something that I feel amazing in! I ended up buying two suits off the sale rack. They have several brands that are lower price points (under $100) so there's something for all budgets and they'll last way longer than the cheap ones from Target. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I have shopped here many times before when we have vacationed here and have never had an issue before. However today I went in there with my adult friends and our kids and had the worst experience I have ever had at any establishment in my entire life. I am a very professional person who have well behaved kids, however they are kids. Two of my children were sitting on each other laps in their chairs that are meant to sit on. They were laughing and enjoying themselves but at a moderate decibel otherwise I would have stepped in and addressed it. I watched as an older employee came up with a very sour look on her face who then proceeded to say to my children 'you need to act more adult in here' in a very disrespectful tone and absolutely crushed their little spirits. I heard her say this and verified with my kids. I proceeded to exit with my friends and family as she watched and smirked at me. I will in all honesty admit that I lowered myself to her level and called her a name after an 80s cartoon character as I left in the utmost rage. I will NEVER give them my money and will happily spend loads more at any other place than there. And I urge you to as well. Use or discard as you wish. read more

This place has such gorgeous designs. Whenever I visit Huntington Beach, I make sure to stop and browse the selection at Diane's Beachwear. The only negative aspect of this store is that the prices are on the higher side. Every item that I picked up was priced at the minimum $70. I haven't ever purchased anything from this store, despite wanting to several times. My sister bought a dress there that was so fresh and flowey. We got the summer dress during the summer and got a respectable discount on the dress. It costed about $25. If you are going to shop here and are on a budget, go straight for the clearance sections. It's much for affordable if you come on the right day. I overhead a women say, "This is the only section that I can afford here." I couldn't help but chuckle because of how true it was! Regardless, Diane's Beachwear is a must stop when shopping in Huntington Beach. The employees are all so very friendly and honest. As I was trying on a product and debating whether I should buy it, an employee said, "That look great on you, but it's going to be so difficult to wash." I was already on the fence about the product, but her honest remark helped me decide whether I wanted to buy it or not. My review is long overdue. I'm definitely no super model.. I'm 5'2 180 pounds and I'm very skittish when it comes to showing off my body. Coming into the store I didn't expect much but my boyfriend insisted on coming in to find some swimwear for our upcoming vacay. As we walked in I was a little intimidated by all the variety of swimwear that didn't seem to be right for a girl with my body size... BUT the staff was so welcoming & made me feel so at ease. Beth was the first person to assist me & she heard everything I wanted & with no hesitation started picking out items that would work for what I was looking for ... flattering and stylish wear. In a matter of minutes I was set up with a dressing room and I was literally "pretty women" by all the staff. All the staff was eager to jump in to help me find exactly what I was looking for.. and they even pulled up a chair for my bf to get cozy as I was trying on stuff. They also took in his request on looks he was looking for, for me. I was extremely lucky to have walked in and received all the help from all the ladies of the store I can't thank you enough! Normally, I love shopping here for all of my swim suits. Today however, the employees just weren't doing their job. I was shopping around and one of the girls asked if she can start a room for me. I said thank you and proceeded to try on some suits. I had more than what was allowed in the dressing room so she held the bikini bottoms to the one that I really liked but, I was willing to try on the others to get them out of the way first. I liked one of the tops but they went with the bottoms that she was holding for me. So I asked the girl who was working(which was different than the first girl) for them and she looked confused and told me there was nothing there for me?? A few minutes later she comes back and tells me another girl was trying them on but gave a similar pair to try on. UM. No thanks?? I want to know why someone else is wearing something that was set aside for me? So at this point I'm standing in the dressing room while the girl across the way is wearing them and NO ONE is explaining to me if someone gave them to her or if she took them herself? What's the point of setting things aside if you're going to give them away to others or allow customers to access it. Either way, there was no apology or anything. The customer service here was really crappy today and they handled the situation pretty poorly. Every time I come here there is always new staff anyways, so hopefully the next cycle of girls actually learn to do their job. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I called them two weeks ago and explained to them that I am going out of the country in two weeks and wanted to make sure if I ordered a suit that day it would arrive in time, the girl on the phone assured me they had my suit in stock and it would definitely arrive in time. I then spoke with a manager who confirmed this so I placed the order. Now two days before my trip and no suit I called them to hear "no, it's pending, it hasn't shipped" WTF?!?! There are several other sites that carry that brand and they completely screwed me. Thank god for my unbelievably big mouth which will make sure that I get the word out to as many people as I possibly can to NEVER shop this sh*t excuse of a store. Go F yourself Diane's! That's all. This place is HUGE and the has the biggest selection of swimsuits and plenty of clothes and shoes to choose from. So why the only 2 stars? I come here often to browse, but I have never bought one thing from here! It's almost too overwhelming, I don't know where to begin. Everytime I come in here I think I'm going to find the ONE, but right when I walk in, I feel like I'm being groped by bikinis and hangers as they crawl up all over the 15 foot ceilings. I can't find a decent path to the back of the store without having to dodge beach bags, hop over sandals, and make sharp cutbacks toward my destination. But then again,perhaps its hard for me to fork out over $100 on a bikini. I'm not that cheap, but heck, that $100 isn't going to make me look any skinnier! And recently made an online purchase and I have never called a customer service number and had the rep answer the phone and say "Hi Danyell, how can I help you?" I heard that Diane's had great tops so I came in to try one. I had lost track of time and so I had to leave to meet my mom for dinner before I could make the purchase. They were mean about holding it, and so I didn't end up buying it. I returned this week because I live really close, and the staff was so negative to me. I was a huge fan of Diane's for years, and when I was downtown with my mother the other day and we went into the store.... What a disappointment!!!! The music was so loud I could barely think. Then the second I picked something up someone appeared at my side to ask if i wanted to start up a room. Seriously i hadn't even looked at the piece enough to decide if i actually wanted to try it on. It did not read as helpful, but totally overbearing. My biggest concern was that the store looks like it has half of the stock I have ever seen there before. Is it going out of business? under new management? have they just gotten lazy??? Overtime i feel like this place has gone downhill and they have finally hit mediocrity. After the experience i wrote to their customer service explaining my concern for their decline in service to absolutely no response.... Be very careful about this place. They do not accept any returns even with the receipt and with the tags still on. They will only give store credit and even then you have to keep the original receipt and bring it back to spend it. They keep no records. Furthermore, the customer service leaves something to be desired. Upon entering, there was a snarl when it was indicated that there was a return. The staff member offered absolutely no apology or explanation regarding the policy other than "we are a swimsuit store." I have no idea what that means on an item never worn, with original tags on etc? I could see if the tags were off etc, but this left me flabbergasted. read more

However, on a once every 5 year trip to main street, a lil drunk, I pop my head in cuz there's a sales rack, over priced shimy bikinis, so I wander over to some of the beachy clothing, um JACKPOT!
