So they completely ruin one of my aluminum lug studs and round off the heads of the others and wouldn't own up to it. They replaced the spark plugs, but during that process they damaged the valve covers. About 10 months later, the damage led to an oil leak. I had my trusted mechanic downstate look at it, and he told me the valve covers had clearly been damaged during that original service and recommended I request a refund. April 2026: I returned to the shop and showed the owner, Diana, the faulty parts. At that time, she acknowledged the issue and said she believed we deserved some money back for the mistake. May 2026: When we followed up, we spoke with Pat (the owner), and the conversation went completely differently. Pat immediately became confrontational and started yelling, saying he "don't give refund checks." Instead, he expected us to drive the truck 250 miles--while it's leaking oil--so he could fix the problem he created himself. The attitude and lack of professionalism were honestly shocking. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them matters. Between the poor workmanship and the way we were treated afterward, I would not recommend this shop.

All the employees are friendly. This time I took my Spyder in for the first oil change and a recall. It was done in about 2 hours. Meanwhile, I went shopping. I've purchased accessories from them and even bought my Spyder from them. They have a nice selection of new and used vehicles for summer and winter. On the show floor they have a very pretty blue 2012 Spyder I admired. Mines a 2020 so I'm not in the market, but that 2012 looked well cared for. Motorcycles not your thing they've got UTVs, ATVs, snowmobiles, jet skis. Heck they even have kids' size ATVs and UTVs. I got a kick out of one of the staff moving around a kid's UTV. He had to pry himself out.

I called ahead after finding Upper Lakes' info and explained my situation to the gentleman who answered. He told me to keep driving and he would hold some of his crew past closing time (if needed) to make sure we wouldn't be stranded. As promised, when I pulled up, he and 3 other guys were waiting. They promptly pulled my tire off to start inspecting it for leaks while also checking all of the other tires. A faulty valve stem was discovered and everything was broken down and repaired in a short amount of time. All the while, the whole crew chatted with my 2 toddlers who had already had enough car seat time at that point. Soon, we were back in the truck and headed North. The guys at Upper Lakes have my greatest appreciation and thanks. If they treat a pass through customer this way, I can only imagine the service provided to their routine customers! Thank you again!
