I liked that in the back of the store, there is a post office window and it's open to 5pm where some of the post offices in my area close at 4:30pm. Sometimes you need that extra half hour especially for people who work. Lady in the back counter was efficient and I arrived at 4:50pm and still quite a lot of people in front of me and behind. Lady was able to get everyone sorted and also saw she was servicing someone at 5:03pm, so she wasn't that strict of the 5pm closing time. The rest of the shop was ok, and lots of stuff in this store. There's cards, and gifts available for all occasions here. I also spied some Arizona themed gifts too. Overall, a nice Hallmark shop with also the added benefit of a post office window in the back that's open to 5pm. This sure beats the long lines at my regular post office, I'll definitely be back as I have more packages to mail soon. read more

Store was not too crowded, but there was a family in front of the ornaments and they pressed on all of the decorations that made noise so it made the store incredibly noisy. The volume on the decorations was incredibly loud and it was chaotic with all of the recordings playing at one time. There was a wide selection of knick knacks for purchase. Making the purchase went fairly quickly once I got to the register. Store staff was friendly and helpful. Store was neat and organized. read more

I went in to buy a card and also send a card to my family back in my home state. I had my friends daughter with me and she was picking out a card for an unrelated reason. The girl in the back at the post office then rudely said you have to buy cards before you come back here. Then I questioned her and said I'm shipping these cards and I will buy this one and take it home. She then OPENED my cards and asked me where I purchased my cards from! The accusation was astonishing and made me extremely uncomfortable. I told her I bought the cards from target. She proceeded to tell me she needed to make sure I bought my cards first.. they were filled out and addressed before I walked in. Made me extremely uncomfortable next time I will make the drive to a UPS store. read more

Very disappointed in this store since its change of ownership and remodel. Card selection is terrible and extremely limited, especially for relative birthdays, i.e. uncle, nephew, aunt, niece. Went in this week for gift wrap for a baby gift and had a selection of two wraps. Couldn't find a decent gift bag for a birthday. Selection was far more robust at Frys next door. Very sad for a Hallmark store, Seems like ornaments, t-shirts and knock knacks get the priority in this store. If that's what you need, it's great, but not for the former Hallmark staples of nice cards and gift wraps. read more

Don't understand the discrimination review. I'm 23 years old and covered in tattoos, someone easily discriminated against, however the staff was really helpful and sweet. Love hallmark for small gifts. Stopped in for a few small things for my mom for her birthday. They have these funny little plush dolls called "dammit dolls". I want to go back for a few more, they're good little gag gift. Wish their sister store in chandler mall didn't close down. read more

Horrible store. Horrible staff. Sold me broken merchandise and wouldn't make good on it. I gave the ornament as a gift and the receiver opened the box to find it broken, which is embarrassing. But whatever. I took the broken ornament back with the receipt, hoping for a replacement but at the least expecting a full refund. They were sold out of the one I had purchased and Refused to give me a refund. The manager, Susie, told me to glue it. WTF?!? Who sells broken ornaments then tells customers to glue them?!? Ah no, if you sell something that is broken, you need to replace it or give the customer their money back. I am stunned that they treated me so criminally. I will NEVER shop here again. BUYER BEWARE!!! If you purchase something at a different Hallmark store, EVEN if they carry the same product in the new store, they will not refund you. You have to go back to the original store in which you purchased it. Plus they will give you some b.s. excuse that because a coupon was used, they can't return the item. Even if there were multiple items on the receipt that were over the amount of the coupon. Needless to say, as a platinum member at Hallmark, I am a frequent shopper but I will not be returning to this Hallmark. And I too agree with the discrimination complaint listed in another review. Avoid this place if you can... Horrible rude and apathetic lady on the post office counter from Lousiana. She stuck labels all over my padded envelopes before running my card. Then she proceeded to tell me that my card was declined or didn't work. I had just come from the bank across the street after making a deposit. I asked her to run it again and she refused demanding another card which I didn't have. I asked for my things back and she replied that she would have to destroy my envelopes to do that. Such incompetent nonsense. Only my husband was in the car and came in to pay it would have turned into a fiasco. Rude, unhelpful and the sarcastic " have a nice day" didn't help. Governor Ducey left it up to the city Mayor's to decide if their residents would need to wear face masks in public settings during this pandemic and Tempe's Mayor stepped up to the plate and issued and edict to require them. Needless to say the owner of this store refuses to wear one and when I was in the other day, there she was face to face, a couple feet away from a customer. The customer wore a mask and she did not. The staff has been incredibly rude here for years. I only come here if I absolutely have to. They get very upset and even ruder if you mention that you shop online wanting to know why you didn't come buy your items in store. Terrible service! I having been shopping at this store for 20 years but I'll never shop there again. I stood in line to purchase boxes to ship my three boxes of cookies for 35 minutes the line was down the aisle which I expected since it's Christmas. When I finally got my turn the lady informed me she didn't have time to help me and I'd have to go to the back of the line??? I explained I just needed her to help me with purchasing boxes so I could take them home and pack up my gifts and I explained I would return the next day to ship them. She again refused to help me and told me it's busy and go to the back of the line she'd didn't have time to look up the zip codes and tell me which boxes to purchase. She also told me in a condescending voice that is was Christmas! I'm aware it's Christmas that why I'm shipping Christmas gifts. read more

FYI.....Hallmark does not stand behind their over-priced ornaments .... The T-Rex I bought two days ago is missing an antenna - my 3 year old grandson noticed right away... Thinking I could get it replaced , I took it back to this store only to find out they don't do exchanges or take their ornaments back after Nov 28th. I needed quite a few of their mini cards for a party. I inquired about getting more of a specific design and was very flatly told they didn't have anymore. I asked when more would come in and practically got my head bitten off. Then the clerk started shrieking HOW COME YOU WONT ACCEPT MY APOLOGY???? Totally embarrassed. In front of everyone. Then she overcharged me. I came back in 10 min later to get my receipt fixed and was met with even more rudeness. Never again. read more

This was my first time in this store location since the one closed that was closest to me and I loved it! I didn't get her name by the lady who greeted me and helped me today was super friendly and helpful. I knew what I was looking for asked her and she took me right to it. This store location is also great as it is filled to the brim with all the Hallmark "extras" you love if you love a Hallmark like I do! I will definitely be going back! I have never had an issue with this place. It's my go-to Hallmark store. I've never felt discriminated against (unlike claims from another reviewer). Age discrimination? Really? Haha. I'm young, female, and have spiked hair.... And I have been treated with nothing but respect here. The staff here is always happy, friendly, and helpful. Felt totally discriminated against because of my younger age. Everyone who was over 60 was greeted cheerfully and treated with respect. I was the only one they asked to show a picture ID to match my credit card and after I thanked them, she didn't respond to me and walked away. Will never go back. read more

This is a wonderful Hallmark shop. Lots of selection on Hallmark standards as well as other items. I particularly enjoy finding lots of things from local artists. The staff is always extremely helpful. This location also houses a satellite branch of the US Post Office. Very helpful, indeed. read more

Can't say enough about the staff and owner of this store. They are helpful when I need ideas, drop what they are doing to lend a hand, support the community in many charity events, and are just all around good people. The store has so many different things to choose from. This is my go to favorite store. I've never had an issue with returns or exchanges, especially when a product has been defective.
