I cannot recommend Lambs Hill or my stylist Alessia enough!! Everyone I know has gotten their dress at Lambs Hill, and upon first glance you think you're walking into a high end boutique and going to end up spending a pretty penny. That could not be the opposite! Their gowns are so moderately priced with majority of them being under $2300. I went in thinking I wanted a ballgown and went the entire opposite direction. Alessia pulled every single dress I asked to see, she helped me try on and take off the same dresses multiple times. In the end she ended up custom making me a gown from items all around the shop. I found my dress at my first apt but left without it because I was too nervous to say yes at my very first apt. I went back about a month later tried on even more dresses & Alessia convinced me to try on my dress one more time and I knew it was mine when I looked at it on the hanger. We learned that the owner's name is Charlotte and she painted all of the artwork in the shop. But what they didn't know is that my late grandma's name was Charlotte & I have been having a very difficult time without her being here, walking into my changing area and seeing her name on the art work on the wall I knew was a sign that not only was she there with us but that I'd be leaving Lambs Hill with my perfect dream dress. The entire staff is amazing, made me feel like a princess and I absolutely cannot wait to see my dress come to life! Wonderful service here. Called for a same day appointment since I was on a quick weekend trip with my future in laws and my future MIL wanted to experience dress shopping (she only had sons and felt left out of the experience). Johanna made time for us the same day I called and was extremely generous with her time. Well let's just begin with the store is in a cute town. They have a nice selection of dresses.The staff well left a bad taste. Our first girl, left to get dresses, comes back gives my daughter a dress to put on herself. After about 45 minutes, which the helper took most of the time has the nerve to say our appointment is almost over My daughter asked to see the manager. Of course her tone changed. My daughter really liked a dress so we made another appointment with someone else. My daughter did say YES to her dress. We go to pick it up and I needed to use the rest room so they put my daughter in a room with her dress to try on all alone When I came back I immediately helped her. We went their twice and the second time we changed our stylist. The first stylist did not help my daughter with her dress even though she had implied she wanted it. The second stylist did help her and even show her different styles. She did say YES to the dress. When we went to pick up her dress, again the staff was very NOT into being helpful, they keft her in the try on room alone, I was in the rest room. I returned to see her ALONE. I dressed her. She knew exactly what I was looking for and never failed to stay within my budget. At first, I wanted a simple gown with no glam to it. Jennelle showed me 1 dress that had the most minor glam to it and asked if I wanted to try it on. I said sure and after putting it on, I was immediately open to trying on more. I couldn't be more appreciative of that moment because I would've never found my dream dress if I remained closed off from minor dress detailing. I had nothing but a wonderful experience at Lamb's Hill! From top to bottom, everything was perfect. I have learned to take brides experiences in stride, as not everyone is as laidback as myself. I do, however, know a good experience from a bad one. The store itself is stunningly beautiful, whimsical and a bit rustic with the equine decor. The facilities are wonderfully maintained and with the Justin Alexander candles lit, it's smells wonderful too! I loved the greenery on the ceiling! The staff at Lambs Hill was enthusiastic and helpful, and downright pleasant. Hannah was the associate charged with helping me and my gaggle of ladies, and we loved her! She was so cheerful and cheered me on through 6 outfit changes. While we listened to said gaggle, Hannah made sure to catch me in the dressing room and low key ask my honest opinion, so she made sure that I was truly happy with my decisions. We stayed over the allotted hour and a half, with no complaints or rushing from the staff. I must have tried on 8 different veils. Ultimately I walked away thrilled, and purchased my dress and veil on my first fitting. Only a 50% deposit required at purchase, and I did receive a 50% discount on the veil for purchasing my dress on my first try. Overall, I highly recommend! read more

This was a truly remarkable experience. Skip the city and come here! The decor inside the shop is beautiful and has plenty of space for a private experience with your friends/loved ones. You can bring a few close pals or a flock of people- all will fit the designated space you get! The staff is superb and patient. I spent close to 2 hours here and never felt rushed. I wouldn't recommend this establishment. In my early 20's I was seeking the perfect dress before deciding on a venue, etc., and happened to find this place. I found the perfect dress and veil at the second appt, only for them to sell my veil to another bride before appt 3 (when we were to begin fittings, finalizations, etc.). Not off to a good start! On top of that devastation, the owner/designer intruded on appt 3 without so much as an introduction or warning for entering the fitting area. No one informed me of this-it was a complete surprise. Because I didn't know who she was and she entered a private appt by means of genuinely startling me (and the other employees weren't in sight), I asked her to please leave. A simple "Hi I'm [so and so]. Sorry for the startle. I designed your dress, etc., it looks stunning-is this the one?" would've smoothed it over and given me some peace of mind, but she was so offended that any professionalism she had went out the door. She literally talked to me like trash, as if i should've known who she was, then threatened NOT to sell me the $1200 dress. I explained where I was coming from and that I shouldn't have been startled at my appt, especially pointing out that absolutely none of her staff mentioned her or that she would be coming in/had arrived AND they sold my veil so I was already less than stoked. She didn't care-she literally discontinued and sold my dress off the shelf before appt 4. This left me at the very beginning, yet again, and they didn't have a wide selection-I had tried on everything else. More than half the staff ignored me before any fuck ups, but especially when I asked what could be done after so much had gone wrong. The ONLY explanation I was given was tied to my third appt. And, quite honestly, the designer messed up there. Why would the owner/designer, not having introduced or even shown herself prior, enter a private appt without so much as an introduction? Instead of responding with professionalism, she took my dress away. It's been about 6 years since this has happened, and I still haven't found the perfect dress/veil, which is why I'm choosing to give a review at this point. They absolutely ruined and prolonged this experience for me. The staff that "helped" me at the time hasnt changed-I checked... In conclusion, they don't care about brides-they care about fast sales and the owner/designer coming and going as she pleases without professional communications. It's just ridiculous, and you'd have more options at David's Bridal anyway. read more

Breanna was the bridal consultant I worked with when shopping for my wedding dress. I was instantly impressed that she was able to pull the dresses I had pre-selected with just a glance at what they looked like online. She was was very professional- helped me into and out of all the dresses in the fitting room, got a feel for the style I liked best and pulled more dresses like that and opened up about her general opinion on picking a dress when my sisters, Mom and I showed we valued her opinion. She knew I was only 7 months away from my wedding day, but didn't add pressure to pick a dress right then and there. However, in the end I found my dress and it is already in! I can't wait to go back next time I am home (NJ wedding but I live in LA) to pick it up and see what my size looks like on me! (The dress I chose I tried on in a plus size so I know there will be subtle differences since there is less fabric and it won't have to be pinned to the correct silhouette.) read more

She tried to sell a dress with a huge stain claiming a tide pen will do the trick to get the stain out. Let me first share, this is the first negative review I've written online. I was really looking forward to wedding dress shopping. It's one of the few moments in my life where I was able to truly focus on me, and create a vision for a very special moment in my future. Upon walking in, myself and my party received a very mild "hello", almost like we were bothering the staff with the fact that we showed up for our appointment. We were offered no water, which I assumed was a COVID precaution. My stylist honestly seemed like she could not care less that I was there shopping for my WEDDING dress. Kind of a big moment that could use some enthusiasm, but we were met with none. There was a bit of forgetfulness while I was trying on-taking longer to grab items, or perhaps forgetting that I asked at all. I had to inquire with other staff as I was waiting for what I requested. One of these forgotten items was the list of dresses that I tried on and was interested in returning for. At this point my stylist had left our party without saying goodbye, and started working with another family. She never returned with the list and when asked again, told me to take a picture of what she scribbled down. She also offered this next family water, and did not offer us anything, so it seemed like this was not a COVID precaution after all. I am so torn because we came here for bridesmaids dresses and they are honestly beautiful! However, that said, the customer service is HORRID. There is one girl in particular (short white-ish hair. I wish I got her name, but was honestly too annoyed with every interaction, and didn't think of it). The first time we went in, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and maybe thought she was having a bad day. You never know what other people are going through. We were there for the first time looking for bridesmaid dresses, and just made the best of the experience. Then when being measured and choosing sizes, one girl in our party who wears a size 0, was measured as a size 16 in dresses. I understand that the dress sizes are usually larger, but when she questioned the size, she was told, "well maybe you just wear your clothes way too tight." We were floored, but again, let the comments slide. Then when I went to pick up a few of the dresses for myself and other girls who live out of town but are in the bridal party, I noticed a tear in one of them. I asked about it and was told, "well it's a simple fix that any tailor can take care of for a small charge." Why am I going to pay someone to fix a dress that I hadn't even taken out of the store yet?? Then condescendingly she asked me if I even had a tailor, and when I explained that that wasn't my point, she told me she would fix it herself but I had to wait. At this point, she was extremely annoyed, as was I, so I waited outside. The entire experience was miserable, which is sad because it really is such a lovely bridal shop with an amazing selection of gorgeous dresses. You just have to decide if you are willing to sacrifice your experience to find one. read more

I had the best experience at Lambs Hill! I had tried dresses on once before at a well known bridal shop in NYC and while the experience was nice, it didn't compare to Lambs Hill. The shop itself is decorated so beautifully and very clean. Both the atmosphere and the consultants make the experience feel really special. I worked with Maggie and she was amazing! She picked out great dresses for me and got a feel for my style right away. Picking a wedding dress can be very overwhelming and stressful but Maggie helped me narrow down the dresses to pick the right one and I'm so incredibly happy with the dress I picked. She gave me time to think or stay in the dress when I needed and knew when we should move on. I never felt pressured, I only felt happy and comfortable the entire time. I cannot recommend both Maggie and Lambs Hill enough and I can't wait to put my dress back on!! read more

I have nothing but negative things to say about Lambs Hill. I'm in a wedding with 10 other bridesmaids, and not a single one of us had a good experience before, during, or after our appointments. I was told the wrong size to order and was then shamed and mimicked for choosing to size down, and it ended up fitting me perfectly. Other girls were given attitudes for bringing their children into the boutique with them as if they had any other choice. Other girls were told their busts weren't "modest" and they should cover up. I really wanted to give this place a second chance being my first bridal experience was during covid but I just went again today and after reading some of these reviews I can come to the conclusion the rude and condescending staff has been here long before the pandemic. The place is absolutely beautiful and I so badly wanted to love it. I made my first appointment for my bridal gown in July. The girl helping could not have lacked less personality if she tried. She took such a special and exciting moment and actually made it uncomfortable as if I was a bother to be trying on dresses. Since the staff isn't helping you in and out of the gowns you are trying on, she basically just stood there the entire time. No small talk. No compliments. Nothing. She legit was there to go back and forth with different dresses. I don't care how much I liked any of the gowns, I couldn't fathom walking out of there with my wedding dress after that experience. I ended up going to another bridal shop and picked the second dress I tried on and the girl helping me made me feel so special as you should when dealing with any bride. Now comes bridesmaids shopping. We tried a few of the smaller stores and I couldn't find anything I was looking for as I want a specific color. I decided that I would give lambs hill another chance. It is a pandemic and maybe they were just having a bad day. I make another appointment and I go with my bridesmaids. A girl Deanna greets us and she is an absolute delight from the girl who helped Me the first time. I am so relieved and happy i chose to come back. She informs me that only one person is allowed to go look through the dresses which is totally fine. As I'm looking through the dresses, here comes the girl who helped me during my bridal appointment. She nastily scolds me and tells me "you need to stop touching the dresses and ask her if you want to see a specific dress! We are limiting the amount of people that touch these dresses!!" Oh. Ok. You should probably inform your clients they can't "touch" the dresses before bringing them to the racks but ok thank you for reprimanding me like a child. As sweet and helpful as Deanna was, I was just so livid at how i was spoken to I had fully made up my mind I was not giving this place any business. And honestly what a stupid rule considering my bridesmaids were in and out of dozens of dresses and since the staff doesn't help zipper the gowns I had to help zip them and "touch" the dresses. Also how do they expect you to pick a dress without feeling the material? Common sense would be to provide the clients with hand sanitizer if it's that big of a deal. Or don't allow the use of dressing rooms if you can't "touch" a dress on a rack but then putting it on someone's body is ok. Eventually I gave Deanna a tip and thanked her so much for being so sweet and patient and we left. I was also really looking forward to them telling my bridesmaids who are size 6 & 8 that they need to order a size 20 dress as they just did that to my friends bridal party that is now stuck paying alterations probably more than the price of the actual dress. If you want to get your dress at a beautiful boutique but get treated like a second class citizen buying $3,000 dresses and $300 bridesmaids dresses. This is the place for you! read more

I had the ABSOLUTE best experience at Lambs Hill, from start to finished. To start their easy to make appointments with and hold true to their covid guidelines. I have my appointment with Breanna, she was a dream! She took the time to listen to my vision, what i want, don't want and what i would be open to. I tried on about 10 dresses total, during each try on she asked me for feedback, what I liked and didn't. I liked 2/5 dresses during the first try on, and then she picked out another 5 based on my feedback and then dress #7 was THE ONE! I was able to try on a veil and accessories to complete my whole look. I can't thank them enough and will absolutely be telling others about this experience and that Lambs Hill is a must! read more

I'm honestly shocked that this place gets such good reviews. It seems as though the owner aims to hire people with zero personality and no sense of customer service. Although, this is not surprising considering how the owner spoke to the bride as if she were beneath her. I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding, and from the moment we walked in, there was no excitement or happiness exuded from the staff whatsoever. They showed us where the dresses were and that was about it. We were all left (8 of us) to try our dresses on in a little basement room with legitimately no help at all from the staff. The only thing the staff did for us was take down our measurements (which some seemed to be WAY off considering how some of the dresses fit when we got them), and our contact info. I'm still not sure why they took down our contact info, because when the dresses came in they contacted the bride. I found this to be a bit odd and and inconsiderate, considering the bride has so many other things on her mind, and she didn't even get her wedding dress from there. It should not be the bride's responsibility to contact her bridesmaids about this. When I picked up my dress, there were some issues with it that I made the staff aware of before I left the store with it. They assured me they would get it taken care of. Months went by and I received no update from them. I took it upon myself to contact them and it seemed as if they could care less and they just gave me the runaround. I was supposed to receive a call back within a week, but that did not happen. After 3 weeks of no call, I took it upon myself to call them back. The manager wasn't in and I was advised I would receive a call back on Monday (3 weeks before the wedding at this point). The manager eventually called sometime the following week and left a voicemail that was condescending and in my opinion completely unprofessional (especially coming from the manager). It was at that time that I decided I don't even want to interact with this place anymore and took it upon myself to make my dress right. I would NEVER recommend this place and hope that no one experiences what myself and the other bridesmaids went through. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would! read more

I had such a great experience at Lambs Hill. This was my last (& final) appointment after wedding dress shopping at 1 store on LI and 3 in Manhattan. I had actually found a dress I thought was the one a few days before, but did not want to cancel my previously scheduled appointment at Lambs Hill the day before Thanksgiving & am so happy I went through with it as I am now a Lambs Hill bride :) I came with my aunt and cousin and Julia was my consultant. I showed her a handful of dresses I had seen on the website but also let her know I was open to any suggestions. Throughout the appointment she was so kind and helpful, definitely the best bridal dress consultant I have come across! This was also the only shop where every dress she showed me was actually well under my budget and it did not feel like she was trying to upsell or go right to my top price point on everything, I really appreciated that. I ended up coming back the morning after Thanksgiving with my mom and sister as we were still in the area to try on (& say yes to) my favorite option from Wednesday, Jennelle was super helpful & patient as well during the follow up appointment. So excited to visit again to pick up my dress and will definitely be recommending Lambs Hill to my friends in the NYC area! read more

Beautiful Dresses, Horrible Customer Service Before writing this review I reached out the store and the owner to try and at least give them a chance to be professional. I was not looking for money back as my wedding and alterations are over. They measured inaccurately and it costed me big time to have the alterations done. After the fact I felt the owner should know. The manager emailed back and literally said sizing is unforgiving and brides do not like to hear the size. Which was not the case at all. The owner's response was " i'm sorry to hear your alterations ended up being more than you expected". This was after explaining that even when I was told the size being ordered I said to order a size smaller, because it seemed in accurate. When I went to the pick the dress up it was HUGE and I couldn't even get a feel of what it would look like, because it was so big. After asking one of the girls, I was told "it is better to have it too big than too tight." Do your research when wedding dress shopping, there is nothing worse than on such a special time in your life you encounter poor management and ownership skills. read more
