Went to DiBartolo Dental for about 20 years. Loved the practice. But after 10 years, the quality of work went downhill especially when I started getting some major dental work done. Spoke to Dr. D several times about how unhappy I was with the quality of work and even documented everything and gave him my timelines of the events. Said he would work with me, but it kept getting worse. 1st implant fell out within 4 months 2nd double implant with bridge (other side of my mouth) fell out within 14 months Got my medical history mixed up with someone else's Messed up bite guards 3 times (they didn't have records of the original bite guard) Messed up submitting to insurance at least 5 times Lost around 15k for the implants Messed up appointment times Hard to get anyone to call back They don't take insurance anymore but will submit (don't expect them to get it right). The one person kept sending the claim to my old insurance. I had to do it myself. A good friend of mine also had their implants fall out. Cleanings and sedation were great except the last time I had sedation, the anesthetist wouldn't wait for me to talk to the dentist before the work was done. I get anxiety attacks with needles so I wanted to be alert when I talked to the doctor. Not cool. I broke with them cold turkey in 2024. In my opinion, he grew too big too fast. I really had hope they would get better but the stress and anxiety I had with all the issues and losing so much money out of pocket was too much to deal with (approximately $15K). I found a couple wonderful practices that I have used since then (one stopped taking UHC insurance so I had to switch to another). If you chose Dr. D, just document everything. NEW PATIENT REVIEW. I was surprised how badly my visit went after all the positive reviews. I went for an emergency visit after calling a bunch of people for intense tooth pain. I got call over the weekend to come 830 Monday and they promised to take care of the pain. I get a call at 8 am asking where I am. I get there and the first man I spoke to about my teeth was amazingly nice. Super comforting . The black scrubs guy was incredibly condescending, speaking to me like I was a child. Basically argued I could take antibiotics and be fine. They refused to give novacaine so I could get same day surgery. They told me to pick an oral surgeon and I could there same day to get my teeth out. We paid out of pocket for the X-rays, not a big deal as they have signs everywhere they don't take insurance. I don't have it anyway. I asked the girl if the oral surgeon location picked knew we were coming and the girl confidently said yes. We show up and not only they didn't get a call I was coming, but not a single oral surgeon does same day. I was laughed out of the office. They X-rays were sent without context to the surgeons office . They didn't have the exact teeth that needed to come out listed in them and I had to call to get them. Girl was surprised I needed the exact tooth numbers. Long story short it a week before I could get in anywhere. They didn't treat the teeth that could be saved and no antibiotics for the pain. I guess I was waste of their time. I'm still in pain and disappointed. Update: one of the Oral surgeons could get me in the next day but the dentist have still not sent referral with the teeth numbers to come out. I asked them to call this time as the office hung up on my request for antibiotics after my visit I don't know what I did to deserve this treatment. Update 2: I got the surgery center and they still didn't send the referral. The lady had to call again and got a half assed verbal referral but they never sent an official one. They were claiming to be too busy. I don't know what I did to this office for them to go out of their way not to help me. Reply to Owner: Conquest got in on the 14th so I no showed an appointment on the 15th at different surgery center. No need to go the second appointment and it was my fault I forgot to cancel it. You also know conquest did the extraction because they called u 3 times for the referral. Infact the tooth you said MIGHT be a cavity was nothing but decay soup in the middle and was taken out in pieces. ONCE IT WAS OUT ALL THE PAIN WENT AWAY IN MY UPPER AND LOWER JAW. Your doctor didn't even turn on a light to look at my teeth. You have no idea what's going on with my care. They are very expensive and the work does not last. I had crowns put on my teeth and within 8 months they fell off. When I called, they advised implants and said they could not replace the crown because there was not enough tooth to attach. They knew this when they did the work. Their big sell is implants. I was dismissed from this practice because Ashley (dental tech ) broke a post in my implant and Dr DiBartola did nothing. She is a dental technician that tried 4 times to drill out her mistake and she failed . Jhana the office manager -not DiBartola , offered me $1000. I hush money to sign a release. Jhana stated in my chart -(that I retained from another dentist who requested it) that she (Jhana) "listened "to me for 1hour , when I told her that the work was paid for and I would need to get it redone and it would cost me more to go to another dentist. She stated in the notes that I was disrespectful, demanding and irritable ? Well let me tell you that Jhana was rude, ignorant, verbally aggressive and uninformed about how to treat a patient that she was offering $1000. for "inconvenience " to sign a release. Dr DiBartola had refused to suture a failed procedure. a tissue flap that relapsed after his suture job failed . He refused to help me in pain and I was worried about an infection. His office staff sutured me and he never checked their work ! Jhana did not read my chart and tried to bully me and stated if I did not take the money - it would be retracted. Well Jhana, I read what you inserted in my chart with my own eyes. I now understand why with all the issues your staff caused , you didn't inform yourself of by reading and updating yourself about the amount of times I returned to the office and the times I was cancelled and the amount of pain I was in, and continued to suffer. It may have taken an hour to bring you up to speed . I now need all the dental work redone - 2 second opinions -both agree my dental work must be redone completely. FYI -your dental assistants drilled through my crowns and ruined them and they are not sealed correctly leaving me open for decay and other issues . Dr DiBartola should have checked the work . I had dental implants put in it 24 months ago and still have issues with the implants coming lose. I asked over a year ago to get more screws or replace the one that keeps coming lose..I have had them retightened 7 times and was given my old Implants (that are broken) plate to put in while they sent my 2nd plate to be looked at.. well the old one fell out when heading to vacation.. called them and was brought in to sit in the waiting room and now waiting for hours to get looked at.. Very disappointed in this experience and after spending over $24,000.00, I wish I would of gotten a second opinion and not recommend the implants here at all! The team is great but the outcome is terrible.. so let me update the current outcome.. a rough temp denture and then tell me I can come back in 9 weeks to get fixed!!! I called Dr DiBartola's office today and spoke with Danielle. I explained to her that I'm going to get a second opinion before spending the $12,000 that I was quoted at the office. I told her that I needed my records and xrays sent to my new office where I'm getting my second opinion. She was very rude to me after she found out what I needed. She said that they wouldn't be able to send the xrays and records since there was too much to email. I explained that my new office needed the xrays or else I would have to get a new set and either pay for them or my insurance would possibly pay for them(which to me isn't right to do to the insurance since I already have a full set of xrays). She said "like I said, we can't do that" I asked to speak to the office manager and she chuckled and said hold on. If I had any intention on going back to Dr DiBartola's office after I get my second opinion, there's no way that I will do that now for the way that I was treated. I did speak with Lisa the office manager. She was very nice and she is going to help me. That is the only reason I gave the one star. I was to have 3 implants and a bridge between 2 of them done here, after the placement of the posts there was an infection that appeared like a small pimple on my gum. They put me on antibiotics and said it would be fine. It was there from the beginning through the placement of the cap 6 months later. I went to a new dentist because I moved out of state and they said it was infected and needed to come out. I saw 2 other implant specialists and they told me the same thing. I called weekly and Dibartola's office did not call me back for 3 months and then refused to do anything as I was out of state. I told them that I was going to be in Pgh 3 days and they said they were unable to see me any of those days and unfortunately 'their hands were tied' I said they aren't, this is HIS business and though they said they couldn't help me they obviously had totally no interest in helping me. I am now in the middle of spending another $3500. They also failed to tell me until the day that they were putting on the caps that they bridge that was to be a part of 2 of the teeth couldn't be completed, though I had paid for it right up until that very day when they wouldn't even take me back for the placement until I made the last $400 payment of the $9000 I had already paid. Worst and most unprofessional experience I've ever had anywhere. Spend your money elsewhere if you want to make sure that you have good care! read more

Honestly the BEST dental office I have ever been to in my life. My dad was in the Navy for 21 years and we moved all the time. I have been to countless dentist in my life even governmental dentists. I had all my teeth pulled just so I could quit going to dentists because my anxiety was so bad as were all my experiences. I would NOT recommend anyone to this office!!!! I'm only giving them a one star because 0 wasn't an option. I first visited the office in November 2020. At that time Dr. Kist recommend I get a root canal. I followed her recommendation. I had an apt scheduled in December for them to put on the permanent cap/crown on that tooth. They reschedule my apt the day of for mid January. Then 13 days later my permanent crown broke off at the gum line. Took 6 days to actually get ahold of the office mainly due to their reduced hours and days leaving me with no choice but to see an emergency dentist over the weekend. He suggested I see the original dentist who put the crown on (Dr. Kist). When I was finally given an appointment she recommended I now have an extraction of the tooth she just did a root canal on and have a bridge put in. Once again I foolishly followed her recommendation. So on my 4th visit I was just scheduled for an impression for my bridge. I'm not sure what went wrong (mainly because Dr. Kist never explained what she was doing at any point) but Dr. Kist hurt me so very bad! I was crying in pain!! She didn't stop until her assistant asked her to and she showed absolutely no compassion or empathy towards me at all. When I asked what she was doing she rudly said "trying to help you"! Again no explanation on why it was hurting so badly and she didn't even offer to give me novacane. I left and threw up in the parking lot the pain was so bad. I ended up at medexpress a few days later with a terrible gum infection from whatever she did. I only returned for the 5th visit to have the bridge put on because I was already being charged for it. I requested to see Dr. Dibartola for that visit. He wasn't much better! He was extremely arrogant and short with me. He suggest I need yet another root canal and I should be sedated. When I asked why he now thought I needed a root canal he wasn't able to answer me. I found this odd because he didn't even look into my mouth or take any x-rays he just stated I needed that additional work done. I have had countless dental procedures done and never had an issue so I most definitely did not need sedated! Needless to say I could not wait to have my bridge put on so I could finally be done with his office. I must say Kalya was hands down the best thing about that dental office!! She should teach both dentists a lesson on empathy and compassion! And the ladies in the office were very nice also. This was by all means my worst experience with not only a dentist but any medical professional ever!!! read more

During a root canal, Dibartola broke a file off in my wife's tooth. OK, this happens, but he never advised - even after followup visits. Finally, my wife went to a different dentist for relief & learned the truth. Worse, she discovered that Dibartola had not even completed all of the roots in that tooth. When challenged, Dibartola denied everything. Based on our experience, Dibartola is INCOMPETENT! Recommend you AVOID. read more

Do not go to this "dentist". If I could rate a minus- I would. He is so arrogant and only interested in getting your money. I went to him five years ago with a lot of dental issues. He put in 3 implants, 9 crowns and 9 root canals all on the same day. He charged me $24,000.00. One year later, some of the crowns kept coming off and he kept putting them back on. Then he said I needed more surgery with more implants and bone graphs. The following year another crown problem and surprise--- I needed more bone graphs and he removed a lot of the work he had done and charged me again for everything. The following year, another root canal and crown. Every time I would go for a cleaning he would say that I needed more crowns and it would cost me thousands. I finally opened my eyes and went to another dentist (who is wonderful !)He took X-rays and I found out that most of this work was bad and some of the implants were even crocked ! I had all of this dentists work removed and my great dentist has completely corrected my mouth. I wanted to sue him, but my attorney looked into it and said it was too long ago and dentists can get away with a lot because it costs too much to research it. So please be for-warned. This man got a total of $40,000.00 !!! from me and then I had to pay someone else to remove it all and fix it. Be careful with this very arrogant guy. I had met with him once in the middle of all this and questioned why they were coming off and why I had to pay for the same work on the same teeth again and his response was always very arrogant and matter-a-fact. "That is what it will cost- I will give you a discount" and he would leave the room and let his staff deal with the rest. Dr. Dibartola can not be trusted and truly does not care about his patients. First, He lies about being participating with your insurance and you end up paying out of pocket and then when you visit him in PAIN with an INFECTION on the two teeth he crowned he says he will charge you again for the same procedure. He should have replaced the two crowns I already paid for and only charged me for root canals but he said no he would charge me again - what a liar. Unethical and unfair. Especially when he said directly to me with his own mouth "if these two teeth end up needing root canals later, I will replace the crowns at no cost because you already are paying for the crowns". I should have known then something was wrong. I wrote him letters and went to see him in person to try to work this out and after 2 other dentists said he screwed up and should NOT have crowned my teeth this way. They are infected and I am on antibiotics with a heart murmur and he was rude and uncaring. He is unreasonable and unethical and does not care about the patient's health let alone finances - He himself did not even place the crowns to begin with - his assistant did it all. I work in healthcare administration and I know to the questions to ask about insurance coverage before going out of network and I also know how we treat patients and it is not like this. I hope someone treats him this way some day when he is in a bad situation so he can see what it feels like. read more
