I love Dicey's! Visiting Ireland for a week as a college student, it was an amazing and memorable time for the group of us. It was very lively and full of super fun and friendly people. There's a $10 admission fee, but the drinks (beers, ciders, etc...) are fairly cheap (except for cocktails/mixed drinks). The drink lines are pretty long on a busy night. The main age demographic I would say are people from 18-25 years old. It does get quite loud and crowded, but it is still a great time to get drinks with friends and dance!

I was charged €19 for two vodka blacks!! That is absolutely outrageous!! I'm emailing them for a refund but they're just ignoring it and hoping the problem will go away. Lost lane a better club and cheaper!!

This would definitely be one of Dublin's hottest nightspots. It's mostly known as dicey's as its main attraction is the beer garden out back. It is located under Krystle and has a bar inside as well as a couple of function rooms, all of which are part of the Russell Court Hotel. At the moment is has a big promotion on Thursday nights - with bottles only €3. This includes beer, cider and basically anything that comes in a bottle and it also has deals on shots and vodka and red bulls - basically a students dream and the perfect way to set yourself up for a messy night out. I've always had a good night out here - except recently a friend was refused for being dressed 'too casually'. It was 8pm on a Thursday evening and apparently they have a smart dress only after 7pm rule - even though there is not one sign ANYWHERE that stated this!

Great music before 10 and then it went all techno. Maybe I am just getting to old for this? BBQ? I just don't call a burger a BBQ. Lamb chops, that's a BBQ! Bar service very slow and it's not clear what exactly you can get at what price. Good looking guys and gals. Might just go again for the eye candy :)

My guilty pleasure - i must confess im a bit embarrassed to say but i always have good craic when i go here ! And not just because of the prices on the student night !! They have a very big beer garden which is really good especially when your friends don't share your awful smoking habit ( im smoker so i can nag about it hahaah). The music is usually pretty good and there is always a buzz in the place even on week nights. They do great drink promotions so its a good option if you're a little short of cash. The downside is that it can get really crowded and the security always have problems containing the mob especially at the end of the night when you need to get your jacket

Dicey Riley's might like to think that its a classy place but there's a difference between shockingly expensive and classy. Jam-packed at the weekend and charging €6 a pint, the recession has not yet reached the beer garden of Dicey's. And to be fair, it is a pretty impressive beer garden - it's so well designed, sheltered and insulated that you can sit in it well into the wee hours without really realising that you're actually outside. Does this luxury justify €8 for a G&T - I think not. The crowd is dressed up to the nines - you may feel like you're at a massive wedding or a 21st - and I imagine a lot of them were frequenting that other infamous Harcourt Street venue, Coppers, a few years ago. It attracts a lot of parties and you can reserve a table for your group. There are two dance floors where you can boogie to some bubble-gum pop. Over-priced and over-hyped. Not my cup of tea.

Using the domestic water charges to justify this. Surely they could absorb the cost into price of the food.

This is a review of Dicey's lunchtime service, my previous review for the late bar still stands. Today we ventured away from our comfort zone of O'Brien's Sandwich Bar and decided to throw caution to the wind... have lunch in Dicey's. I had heard rumours that they have a kick ass salad bar. And do you know what, its true - they do have a kick ass salad bar. When you get to the carvery, keep walking through the door frame on the left and then hang another left. For 6.25 EUR I went for a piece of yummy cold salmon and filled the rest of the plate with the different salads they had on offer. They have coleslaw, potato salad, egg salad, Waldorf salad (yummy), a rice like pasta salad (yummy), peppers, tomato, lettuce. You get the gist. But what they do is pile it high on your plate and for me this is great value. My colleagues both went for toasted wraps and they were good, very cheap too. Like 2.90 EUR for a three filling wrap toasted with some crisps on the side. Woah! Staff were very nice and quick to serve. The only fault I have is the smell of stale beer when you enter the building. But when you leave that area it seems to abate.

The bouncer made us buy tickets online and then would not let us in because 2 people in our group were not 23.

Great cocktail menu, the bartender I dealt with was charming, he even deviated from the menu to do my favourite cocktail. It's moderately sized, interior is modern, comfy couches. Music is chart, the DJ was abit too volume happy so we had to shout to talk and then we gave up and just focused on drinking the cocktails. At one point I thought I was at convention celebrating the show Sex & The City which then shifted to me thinking I was in a lesbian bar. It was thronged with well done up young women and hardly any men. Boys if you want to score a chick, this is the place for you! Girls if you want to score a chick this also is the place for you but in a very Sex & The City hook up kinda way, that is they will be straight again the next morning. The only reason why I am giving it three stars is that it would not be my scene and the music is too loud but it's a great place to pre-game it with some cheap well made cocktails before hitting another spot.

I still think it's a place to be avoided like the plague on a weekend. Anyway you can happily get sozzled on the quite extensive menu of cocktails, all of which are 5 euro all night Sunday - Thursday, and during the week you can get seats and pretty quick service... still though the place annoys me.... maybe it's that every girl there is wearing is tiny dress and giant heels, or maybe it's the remnants of puke is all the sinks... but after a few the blaring music starts to become less annoying and everything is hilarious -your friend may even attempt to throw limes into a pint class across the far side of the room without anyone noticing.

Its interior is massive and very grandly outfitted, although after the initial 'wow' moment everything seems to take on a bit of a gaudy air. The 5 euro cocktails are fab, and they have drink specials most nights of the week, so this could be a place to go before you really go out. There is a nightclub here, but I can't vouch for its quality. Dandelion also has a very nice restaurant that is suitable for families. This place disappoints a little bit, after giving an amazing first impression, but maybe this is because everyone else in Dublin seems to just walk on by?

It's modern and trendy with plenty of room to mingle but it's not particularly atmospheric or memorable in spite of its 'boutique' claims. I can't imagine ever saying "I'll meet ye in Dandelion later", and I wonder if it has any kind of a regular crowd. That said, €5 for a cocktail in the heart of Dublin is not a bad deal and currently Dandelion are offering to pay the 21.5% VAT on all drinks Monday-Friday, bringing the cost of a pint down to a cool €4.30. Whatever I may say about Dandelion, you'll not get a better deal on the Green and I saw a tanned, chiselled young man handing out flyers to this affect just the other day! We bolted however after about two hours and Dandelion left no great impression except a brief ponder over the wisdom of naming your 'boutique' club after a weed.

Previous reviewers have commented on the shell-shaped seating around tables which are really nice. It gives you that feeling of being in a jazz club in a black & white movie. It's comfortable, intimate, and well, a little bit special. Probably my favourite element of the Sugar Club though is their varied programming. On any given week, they will have anything from burlesque to hiphop to an 80s classic or live band. Some downsides too - the toilets are pretty average - it would be cool to see something a bit more plush to go with the general vibe of the place. In line with this - the price of drinks. If I'm paying this much for drinks, I want to be somewhere ultra fecking plush. OR (preferably!), I'd prefer NOT to pay so much for a drink. I believe my Jameson & coke cost me in the region of eight euro the other day. And was poured into a plastic cup. No people, just, no!
