My initial visit was a "Club" style sandwich, priced modestly at $7, with ham, turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and onion on a toasted hoagie/Po Boy roll. Warm meat, crisp lettuce and a soft roll was what I received, sliced in half, and wrapped in deli paper as any proper sandwich is. Tasty, quality ingredients were stuffed into a warm roll that was both satisfying and filling. I knew it had to be decent prior to trying it as I saw people coming to just get a sandwich and then leave the Farmer's Market. The offerings are simple, cooked-to-order sandwiches, most for around $7 with soda and chips at a reasonable price of $1. Although I may not go out of my way to stop by, if I am in the vicinity of the Sierra Vista Farmer's Market, I will stop and pick up a Authentic (for Arizona) Po Boy Sandwich - or at least I know I can receive a respectable meal if I were to see Garrett selling food elsewhere. My husband and I tried this taco cart (a distinctive black food truck located on the D Ave side of Castro Park between 9th and 10th Streets) for the first time today. It was easily the best food we've had in Douglas, and we were blown away! So fresh and generous with both the meat and the toppings. The owner's salsa is also top notch, spicy but very edible even in quantity. The pricing was very good, particularly including all the fresh tomato and avocado slices. We tried two types of tacos, the tostada, and this fantastic loaded type of quesadilla. It was like a quesadilla on steroids (it was more like the type I make at home, packed full of meat and vegetables). My hisband also had yummy curly fries. The cook gave excellent service and he helped us pick a couple dishes when he saw we were new. The ingredients are in Spanish, so this was very helpful. The lettuce and other veggies were very fresh and had no taste of cleaners or disinfectant (like soap, etc) that we have run into at other Douglas restaurants. That comment may sound strange, but we've encountered it more than once at other establishments. We are looking forward to trying everything on the menu! This taco cart would be a hit in any city. If you are used to the desert SW customer ratings, you may have noticed a lot of people rate VERY generously. I think it's the lack of options, sort of rating-by-comparison, "grading on a curve" effect. This taco cart is a real 5 star, an LA or Seattle 5-star.

Simple menu - pulled pork nachos, pulled pork quesadilla, pulled pork nachos and BBQ pork ribs. That's it. The owner and his wife will tell you all about the pulled pork. They raise the pigs on their farm in Bisbee. They butcher and then prepare the bbq pork and ribs. They pit BBQ it for like 29 hours!! They are totally OCD about their quality and it shows in the food. Service is quick - like 5 minutes. The BBQ sauce that smothers the ribs and is mixed in the pulled pork is fantastic - they sell it in jars, too. I had the sandwich and my handler had the quesadilla. Both were honest portions, served piping hot. Delicious. Period. Both items came with choice of homemade slaw with chili-cilantro dressing or beans. The beans are homemade bbq style beans and are a hit as well. I'm looking forward to another sandwich in the future.

Had a great time tonight at the Tucson Food Truck Round-Up. There was a great energy, a ton of…read morepeople, plentiful food selections, and easy and ample parking. One of my friends tweeted that it was "Truck Exhaust + Good Eats". That kind of sums it up. That being said there were also huge lines, I waited for about an hour for MaFooCo and my friend waited an hour and a half for Planet of the Crepes. The food that was well worth the wait, but like a boy scout you should be prepared. Take heed if you plan on going to an event like this, get here when it starts to avoid the long lines or divide and conquer sending members of your group to different trucks and sample together. Our group was able to hit 5 different hot-spot trucks using the divide and conquer approach. Seating is limited so if you have some folding chairs they will come in handy. There is a huge value in this event for those of us who don't work near a food truck. It's a casual and inexpensive way to get to try foods off the beaten path. I will definitely be at the next Round-up!

To be totally honest Birria tacos were a bit dry and didn't have much flavor. The el Pastor tacos were better and the homemade salsa was perfect, a nice spicy kick to it. The tortillas were also quite dry. Tacos were overall 3/5 However the Tortas were easily a 5/5. I saw one and knew I needed to try it. The buttery bread combined with the toppings made this dish pop right off. These Tortas are what would have me coming back to this food truck! So simply put Tortas over tacos here.
