I walked in at 3:30 pm on a Monday, a slow time for diners. There was only one table occupied when I gave my order of a grilled chicken sandwich and slaw, so service was fast, but kurt. The sandwich had a nice Chipotle sauce that went well with the cheese, lettuce and tomatoes that came with it. My meal was served on Styrofoam. Prices have gone up lately, but are still reasonable. My bill was $12 for a large drink and a sandwich. I'm glad this diner is still around, as it's the only non-chain eatery in the PX area. Ambiance is that of a classic 50s diner, with the sound of crashing bowling balls in the background. Hours vary. read more

Jeannie's Diner is great place for a fast relatively cheap meal. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The have Beer and some Spirits also. The set up is looks like an 50's type diner.... the tables seem to be clean everyone I go in and the floor look maintained. All around this place is pretty good. Place to eat. I come here often and usually get something different each time. It is located in the bowling alley and they will deliver food/beer to your lane. read more

This is not a home cooking kind of place. The food is straight out the freezer & you can tell. Soda machine doesn't have enough carbonation either so drinks are a little flat. It's a cute place but the food is literally comparable to the freezer aisle at a grocery store. If you're stuck on base, get the chicken tenders. Onion rings are ok but greasy. Not a place to go out of your way for but they do seem to have their regulars. This town is sadly all chain restaurants & no flavor or options. read more

No raves about this place. I think the only reason it exists is the bowling ally must offer beer and they must serve food. Not that great of food quality. My burger was obviously pre cooked and dry with no flavor. Assembly line mediocre food. Eat there once and you will realize the lack of quality ingredients. They really can shove the stuff out the door. Will not eat here again. So many better places for a burger and shake, unfortunatlely, you must drive off post ( Culvers, Mostly government employees eat here because they don't have time to go off post and return. Better off going to Commissary and microwaving something or go to shoppette near Van Daman gate. read more

My husband and I got the burgers and onion rings. onion rings and were ok but the hamburgers were awful. Dry no flavor. would not recommend especially for the price $30 and we did not get drinks just burgers. I am guessing the the bowling alley is the only thing keeping them going. If you are going bowling I would recommend you grab food somewhere else. read more

Good stuff! I have visited twice, both times as a weekday lunch. The first time was pretty busy (around 12 noon). Today was around 11:15am (not very busy). The first visit I have the Do Wah Diddy burger with onion rings - very good burger! Good onion rings too. Today I had the chili dog and mozzarella sticks. Great hot dog; very favorable. Good cheese sticks - they give you six sticks and I could only eat three after eating the chili dog. Good stuff though! I definitely recommend Jeannie's Diner for weekday lunches as long as you can get there before the lunch crowd. read more

My son and daughter had their birthday at the adjoining bowling alley and we were told that we weren't able to bring outside food in. The only option we had was to go to Jeannie's Diner. I was interested to see how the new renovations looked since the diner was closed for quite some time last year. I believe the diner's now been open for over a month and the staff seemed like they were new, of a sorts. I talked to my wife, asking her what she wanted to eat and she said that I wouldn't be able to order anything that's fried as their deep friers were out of commission, as she found out earlier. Fortunately I knew this going into my order. The diner seemed to be understaffed and unexperienced as they were slow and producing the food and didn't appear to know how to prepare it either. I had to wait in a line to order my food and as I stood there waiting I observed other people's reactions. Two or three orders ahead of me people had ordered something that required the frier but were told that the food couldn't be made as the frier was down. So of course that slowed down the line because the customer had to rethink their order. At the same time, a lady had ordered some nachos, fully loaded, but the way it was prepared was ludicrous as I could tell by the way the lady was complaining about it. The chips were at the bottom of a paper bowl, the cheese and all the other fixings (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc...) were piled above the chips as so you couldn't even get to them. What's more, there was a lady who I guess is a manager that stood around the whole time, almost appearing to micromanage everyone. I thought to myself, we have a slow moving line and you're not even trying to help your customers and speed up the wait time, instead you'd rather just stand around watching your staff, telling them what to do. I understand you may be trying to teach your employees the ropes, but you could also contribute as well. I had ordered a ruebin and chips for my wife and a ruebin and coleslaw for myself. The slaw came in a tiny little paper bowl that was only about three bites worth. The chips were Ruffles, which there's nothing wrong with those chips but when I go out to eat somewhere I expect to get something I normally wouldn't get from home and I had to accept chips instead of fries. The ruebins were very good, considering. The cost, although average for this type of food, was more expensive than my initial plan of bringing pizza from outside for all the people at the birthday party. So I had to spend way more money on food that was just alright. At this point I don't think we'll be going back to Jeannie's Diner. read more

Not sure if that's diner thing but it would have been nice to have our server come back and check on us at least once. We came in here for some dessert after dinner one night. Their ice cream comes in a pre-packaged cup you could buy at walmart. The doughnut holes were over fried. Service was slow and employees weren't helpful. Next time we will take our business off post. read more

Nice place to eat. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is very good. Had the Reuben was good and fries are great. Burgers also, come with fries or other choices. You can always bowl while there. Problem is you have to have Identification to get on base. Takes about 15 minutes at gate to get a card with picture that allows you to enter for a year. Worth the trouble. read more

This is always a favorite when I want to get out of the building and want a nice option of variety for lunch or breakfast. Charity is my favorite waitress, but they are all good and friendly. A good recommendation is always available. I like the Tuna Melt on Sour Dough or the Reuben on sour dough. If I could just get the dipping sauce from Applebee's for my sweet potato fries I would be sold out. read more
