Wow! Just WOW! My youngest was invited to a Birthday party breakfast with.... SANTA! That's right, Santa Claus! Carla (momma of the birthday girl) did a fantastic job in arranging a very special breakfast brought to us my Dickens Tavern. There was Mickey Mouse pancakes, scrambled eggs plain and with cheese, potatoes, bacon and biscuits in gravy! Not to mention a fruit tray, whipped cream and sprinkles to put on the pancakes! The adults were able to access the bar for Blood Mary's & Mamosas! What a true gift for Christmas! Happy 5th Birthday, Peachy! And thank you Dickens for allowing 20+ preschools to run around wild! Santa, it was extra special for you to be there and make all of our little ones smile! Again, nice job Dickens for hosting such a great Sunday morning!

Chef Board... disappointed for $22...with lettuce, to fill space??

My family and I ate dinner at The Roost while visiting the area for a few days. Since we were…read moretraveling from out of state we made a reservation ahead of time - although on a Wednesday evening at 5pm, it wasn't super critical, as the restaurant never got completely full. There are multiple seating options - inside, patio, or rooftop. We opted for the rooftop and the vibes were excellent. The weather was gorgeous and the rooftop patio is nicely decorated with live plants and a big bar running the length of the patio. Our server was excellent. I think his name was Danny. One of our party has an alcohol intolerance, so needs to avoid foods cooked with alcohol. Danny was super helpful in guiding our menu options with this information. He confirmed multiple dishes with the chef before we ordered. For food, we started with the Truffle Parm Fries, Fried Brussels Sprouts, and the Bangin' Cauliflower. All were delicious. The cauliflower was extremely good, I can see why so many reviews mention it. For entrees, our group ordered the Short Rib Tacos, Jumbo Crab Cakes, Chilean Salmon, and the Avocado Salad with Seared Ahi. No complaints around the table. The meat in the Short Rib tacos is super tasty. Portions were good sized, however the Crab Cake dish is definitely smaller than the others. Good option if you aren't super hungry. The Chilean Salmon was cooked perfectly. We didn't really have any complaints at all. Solid dining experience. Would definitely return if I'm ever back in the Longmont area.

Nice spot for dinner!…read more Shared apps: cauliflower shishito peppers chicken and artichoke dip Overall, all good. Cauliflower stood out the most. I personally ordered the steak frites. Not as pleased with the entree. Mostly fries and not much meat. Would have gone for the short rib. Nice ambiance inside. Easy parking.

I'm done with Oskar Blues and the surprises each time I go…read more I tried to have a birthday party on a Monday lunch time for 6 adults and 4 kids. I called ahead and Sarah said I could reserve space inside or outside seating for my party but when we got there, the host put us outside and THEN told us they didn't have service outside and we'd have to order at the bar. WTF!? So, we moved inside and were the only ones in the place for about 30 minutes. The food was good but I'm done with everything being an add-on item - example: cheese on the burger is $1.50. Really? House salad was $2.00 additional replacing onion rings on the pulled pork sandwich? Soft drinks were reasonable at $3.00 each. We ordered a kids fish plate ($8.00) and wanted to order one additional fish filet and were charged for a second kids plate (again $8.00). KIds' Mac & Cheese was pretty good. The cost-of-living adder on the check that most restaurants have dropped is now LUMPED together with tax on the bill so as to hide the additional amount. On my bill of $146.00 - they added $17.36 for tax and adjustment. Working backwards, I guess that is an additional $5.00 or 3%. Not too much but it's misleading to price a menu this way. One only saving grace was I could pay with a charge card and they didn't add a fee on top of all that. I guess future customers will see if that changes because I'm done.
