I chose Pearle Vision in Fairlawn because their website stated that this location offered Ray-Ban…read moreMeta glasses and could put prescription lenses into Ray-Ban Meta frames that customers already owned. I also spoke with the person on the phone the day that I made the appointment and he verified all of my requirements of what I was looking for. I drove 70 miles based on that information. The doctor was excellent--thorough, informative, and very kind. Ms Carol was also incredibly sweet and professional. She truly did her best to help, and I appreciated her kindness throughout the appointment. Unfortunately, everything after my exam was frustrating. I received conflicting information about almost everything. I was told they could put prescription lenses in my Meta glasses, then they couldn't. They couldn't tint the lenses, then they could--but not with a gradient tint. Ms Carol even was nice enough to call LensCrafters at the mall to give me options ELSEWHERE. I also asked if my contact lenses could simply be mailed to me since I had driven such a long distance, but that became another issue with additional charges. In the end, I left with no glasses, no contacts, and an insurance benefit used on an appointment that didn't accomplish what I came for. My biggest disappointment is that the website did not accurately reflect what this location could actually provide. I spent time researching before choosing this office, only to make a long drive for services they ultimately couldn't deliver. The one star is because the Dr was nice & Ms Carol but the inaccurate website information, lack of product knowledge, and inconsistent answers made this a very disappointing experience. I would recommend this location only if you need a basic eye exam. If you're looking for specialty eyewear like Ray-Ban Meta glasses or more customized lens options, I would NOT recommend this location. They ruined my whole day. Cara K.

Our whole family has been going to this practice for about 20 years. We usually see Dr. Earley, but Dr. Beiling is also very good if you need eye care, you should go to Medina Vision and Laser Centre.

Reporting back on my interaction with Dr. Beiling from February 3, 2021…read more I called Medical Mutual (MM) to find out what was holding up my prior authorization request. They stated that Dr. Beiling's office failed to answer a question about whether I was sensitive to a preservative used in eye drops. MM stated that they faxed a form to Medina Vision and Laser Center (MVLC) on January 12, 2021 at 2:25 pm. requesting them to call their 800 number or fax the form back. Without this being done by January 18, 2021, the prior authorization request would need to start over. The reason that MM wanted this question answered was that I was prescribed non-generic eye drops that are shipped to me in sterile vials on a 30 day supply. If I am not believed to be sensitive to the preservative, MM's formulary is that generic eye drops must be used in a "next step therapy" procedure, meaning that a generic is used if it shows similar effectiveness to the non-generic eye drops. I met face-to-face with Dr. Beiling concerning this matter. She denied ever receiving the MM fax at their office. She challenged me to have MM supply her with the fax. I went back to my work and plan on calling MM to show proof they sent it. I queried Dr. Beiling on why I was prescribed non-generic eye drops. She stated that she prefers to treat my condition with non-generic eye drops. In her favor, she had no information given to her that non-generic eye drops would be covered or not covered. I will keep you apprised on this ongoing saga.

I moved to…read moreMedina 10 years ago and thought I would try out an eye doctor in the community- worst mistake of my life I paid the day I was there $370. Out of pocket. They billed my insurance for the glasses which they received over $200 from them then sent the 5 charges of different exams to my medical and ended up sending me a bill for $275 more. I tried fighting it. But the attorney and the Medina courts are on very friendly terms. That in itself should have told me how many ppl they have swindled out of their money I have worked for the same place for 15 years with the same vision benefits. This has been the only eye doctor that I have had to pay more out of pocket expenses after the fact!!!! I was in this office once for 15 minutes and and it cost me out of pocket almost $700 for an eye exam and 1 pair of glasses. I seen the eye doctor for approximately 5 minutes and wanted to splurge extra for the glasses and anti glare etc... this place deserves to go out of business

Moved to Medina but found Milburn optometrist (eye clinic) was not really a "family" oriented place as I imagined. It is high-pressure with sales, especially when I mentioned options were not great and prices high so I would just be getting the normal eye exam. Deceitfully charged me for a "medical" exam without my knowledge. This created many headaches, more cost out of pocket, and they were unapologetic throughout process. I see this happens with other (on BBB) but because they don't allow reviews, it seems like a good place at first sight. Unfortunately they lost what could have been a life long client.
