First time coming here, and unfortunately the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. One employee in particular was very rude and could definitely use some customer service training. I asked what she recommended and what was popular on the menu, and her response--given in a monotone, uninterested tone--was simply, "It's all good." She offered no suggestions and seemed to rush us through our order, even though we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. To make matters worse, a timer went off in the middle of taking and preparing our order, and she abruptly walked away to deal with it, despite there being other employees in the back who could have handled it. We were left standing there while she disappeared, which only added to the poor experience. The overall attitude came across as dismissive and unwelcoming, making for a disappointing first impression. The food itself was just average, and the portions were surprisingly small for the price. This joint was ok. The restaurant was clean and the staff was helpful and happy. The food was amazing! Ordered the 2 meat platter with jalapeno cheddar kielbasa and pulled pork with jalapeno beans and cabbage slaw. Everything tasted delicious, was served warm-ish, and I enjoyed my meal. However, I wish the portions were larger. They provide heavy, thick plastic cups for fountain drink, as well as plastic straws in plastic packaging. I felt a little guilty throwing it away. Seems a little excessive and wasteful. I would rather have a paper cup for my beverage if that would increase the portion sizes. I did not use the bathroom, but my assumptions are that it was clean and neat, due to the fact this is a fast food chain style restaurant. Overall, it was good. Larger portions and cut down on the plastic use. Service was great and the place was clean. *Just a thought: Do not leave a bad review for a restaurant because of another business's faults. I work for an airline so we were lodging next door. I was craving some BBQ and decided to come here. I ordered the Sliced Brisket, chopped brisket, and sausages. Food: Mediocre and too salty! The brisket was hard and dry! Such a disappointment. The chopped brisket were over cooked and burnt. Sausages was average as well! If ur looking for some good southern bbq joint this place is not it. Buyer beware! I placed an order 45 minutes before I wanted to pick it up. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told the order was not ready but they were working on it. At 7:23 after asking about the order initially and keeping eye contact with the waitress, the order was finally discovered in their heating unit and given to me with no explanation or apology. I did complain to a gentleman behind the counter but it was water off a duck's back. This is why I hate being asked to tip before you pick up your food. We have had two sessions with this sad operation. Neither good. Two weeks ago we got food to go at the west end location and the help was rude, short and a joke. We ordered over $200 of foo from the downtown location Wednesday to pick up today. When we arrived today the order was not ready and they told us no such order even though we had a paid receipt. Two days in Billings. Ordered tons bc house is empty. 4 types of sauces-- not in bag! Called- too busy to answer. Called again. DeAndre asked for order number & name. Didn't matter he said too bad not going to bring it to you OR give any credit. Just 3 of us here working. I say- should be ZERO! Shame on Dickey's. You often leave out sauces on purpose-no one makes that many errors. Your people get small thrill depriving customers. 4 miles away- NEVER EVER EVER GOING BACK- big bbq eaters from south. We enjoyed an outstanding meal consisting of a FULL RACK of ribs (for 2 people), a side of pork snd beans and two buttery rolls. We each had a soft drink (refillable). The total was $38.00 and worth every penny. We came home with a to go container for tomorrow's lunch !! The staff members are very polite andthey strive to make your dining experience a memorable one. We recomm4eating here for wonderful barbecue meats and dinners. We stopped in here because no other place was open downtown on a Tuesday evening, so they have that going for them right out of the gate. The food was just fine, fries were fantastic great seasoning. What is awesome about this place is their attention to details, you can tell they are careful and don't take anything for granted. The serve yourself sauces are kept nice and hot so you don't have to put cold BBQ sauce on your hot food. The condiments were orderly and tidy and extensive. They even gave us a couple feee fries to go with our meal. Just over the top service and preparation made them stand out. Really take pride in what they do. Free ice cream too!!! read more

It's pretty good. Tried Dickey's last weekend, the smoked meats are fantastic, the sauce ehhhh. Bbq is glorified TOMATO soup (IMHO). Sorry Dickey's I'm more of a molasses based girl. ‍Sides were delicious, especially the dinner rolls SO good! Parking is a bit tricky, there's front street parking and limited customer spots in the lot directly to the left of the building. Easy to miss, we went around the block twice. read more

Ordered two pulled pork sandwiches to be delivered but they forgot sauces. I called the restaurant and the woman who answered personally drove me the sauces and gave us a free dessert. This place is HORRIBLE!!! Worst customer service I've ever had in my entire life of eating out. People were horrible on the phone didnt know the menu. Then we waiting 30 minutes atleast for our food and it still wasn't ready when we got there. Then they completely butchered our order and forgot to mention they didn't have the loaded potato but did charge us for it. First of all, I have eaten at Dickey's many times and the food is always great, for eating in or delivery. But I'm also an UberEats delivery driver and EVERY time I go in there to pick up an order I am told they are out of something and can I please call the customer and ask if they want a replacement. You guys don't close until 9pm and it's only 5 what do you mean you're out of ribs?! You're a barbecue place, figure it out! Make some more! Or at least do us the favor of calling the customer yourself. This is the last time I'm wasting half an hour of what should have been a busy night waiting for a customer that didn't answer only to have to cancel my order--which would have been good money--because you guys don't ---I don't know, I don't know what the problem is. You are the absolute worst to pick up from, same story every.single.time. If you're out of ribs you might as well just close for the night. I travel across the country and love Dickies because I've always been able to get a consistent meal countrywide. Sadly that is no longer true. Delicious food and fast service, this is a great place for lunch. The meat is awesome and the brioche buns they use are so good. The side dishes are alright, their specialty is definitely the meat (as it should be). The menu on Yelp says they have salads, but I didn't see any on their menu when I went in. Don't rely on that if you're a salad person...but if you're a salad person, why are you going to a barbecue place anyway? Also, you can keep your cup! Back home, I'm a dickeys fan. Gotta say I'm glad this isn't the staff that runs my home restaurant. The bathroom wasn't maintained. The floors were dirty, trash can overrun and tp was out with an extra roll sitting on the side. The mgr on duty had no idea what a food allergy was. Actually said those words. Told me he had no information on site with any allergy information. He kept playing dumb and wouldn't listen as I calmly explained what I needed. Luckily I was familiar with the menu and ordered what would normally be safe back home. I asked the mgr to change his gloves to keep me safe. He didn't. After assembling my plate I asked him to put my roll on my kids' plate. He put on mine instead, essentially glutening my food. Luckily it didn't touch anything and I was able to avoid the cross contamination. The portions of the meat were puny and I wasn't asked how I would like my brisket The restaurant floors were dirty and a fly buzzed us the entire meal. The cashier looked like she could wanted to be anywhere but there and I did not receive any courtesies. GOOD FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE! A great addition for the downtown Billings lunch crowd! The staff was friendly and efficient and the food was really good. My co-worker and I both had the Monday special, which is a pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and a lg (refillable) drink (in a reusable cup) for just $6.99 The sandwich was piled high and the sides were generous. Let me start by saying, I am a bit of a barbecue fanatic and will one day have my own barbecue joint so I am a bit of a purist. We walked into the place and it was empty which made me nervous. We were greeted with, "we are out of a lot of stuff, but we have..." I would expect a good barbecue place to run out of some things so this actually made me a bit hopeful. The guy behind the counter offered me a taste of the spicy cheese sausage. It was pretty good. I asked if they make it there. He advised me that all that they do is smoke it there. They do put some rub on some things, but all of the marinaras(marinades) are done elsewhere. I ordered some of the sausage and the pulled pork. My friend ordered the chicken and the pulled pork. The guy behind the counter threw in a little bit of their "brisket" as well. The pork was pretty good. It lacked smoke, but it was edible. The brisket seemed to actually be smoked beef roast. It was given to us in chunks like the pork and was definitely not brisket. The sausage was good for about 5 bites and then turned into this spicy tallowy grease chunk. There sauces(sweet, regular and spicy) were all the same. The sweet was the regular with honey and the spicy was the regular with chili flakes. For sides I had the mac and cheese, this was very good and when I asked if they made it there I was told that they only make a couple of their sides on site. The rest come all made up. The other side I tried was the potato casserole with "extra bacon"(processed bacon bits) which was obviously not fresh. In all it was a bit of a disappointment.. I wish that I would have gone to Blue's because I have hear that it is very good. I will say that the service was very friendly and we got our food quickly. read more

Found this place by walking around from our hotel Fast prep, very friendly, very tasty ribs absolutely fall off the bone, sign up for the loyalty program and get a free side, the sides were also delicious, I found the sweetened ice tea far too sweet, I wouldn't do that again. Great tasting BBQ, was very pleased. I was only in Billings for one night, and needed a quick dinner. I couldn't decide between the pulled-pork or the ribs, so of course I got the two meat special. Ribs were very tender, and the pulled pork was moist and flavorful. My one downside was the BBQ sauce (serve yourself, on the side) seemed to have too much apple or cider in it. Purely preference-- you might love it. Free ice cream, but I begrudgingly passed on that. Nice staff, nice owner-- I spoke with him about random stuff for a few minutes; nice guy.
