Yuck. Overpriced. The sides are not made in house. Resers assembly line slaw and tater salad. Barbecue sauce sucks the meat sucks and I have no reason to go back. I like Dickeys. My parent (elderly) love to go to Dickeys. Until yesterday. The menu changed completely. For the sides, no more fried okra or fried food of any kind on the menu? What? Trying to go healthy? It's a BBQ joint. If you want to offer healthy alternatives, I am all for it, but leave the old. They also went ala carte on sides. They said he prices were the same, but I don't think that's correct. I think a meat with a side is now more than it was before when you got a side automatically. Don't have the old menu so I can't tell for sure. Maybe it changed because some customers didn't want sides? Anyway, the I believe the prices went up. Meat was still good though they didn't have chicken even though we went right after opened. Not sure how that happens, but they do say on the menu in small print that not all meats are always available which I get. But chicken? Come on, especially early in the day and it is one of the healthier choices as well. Limited BBQ options in Billings, but will look around as we were very disappointed that they took away the side dish options. read more

This is a convenient location and decent Barbeque. Good service and good sides and decent sauces. Compared to other marginal places in Billings it's probably the best place to get barbecue and sides. Never can figure out why you can't get decent barbecue in a state that considers itself cattle country and that raises so much beef. So. Not the end of the world. And it wasn't to begin with. But two three months ago I ordered through whatever delivery app supports dickeys and order a bunch of extra stuff like extra this and that. The total was somewhere near 70 bucks. Well there was quite a wait which I could not care less but upon receiving my order about half the items were missing. I called just to clarify if I was charged which I was because of Uber eats or whatever it was for the entirety of the order. Now not that big of deal. I don't really care. Kind of a you get what you get when you go through these delivery apps. But when I called I was referred to a manager. When I told her the things that were missing she said "well. We are out of that" For me. No big deal. I said I was just letting them know that I was charged. And I'd let it go. She on the other hand whom I assume was the manager to offer such gracious accommodations. That I would have a two meat plate for free waiting for me. Oh boy. What a treat! I wouldn't send back a raw potato if I requested mashed. So. As time would prove to be a fleeting glimpse of this gift. I thought per chance I might take up this offer of a gracious free meal. But unfortunately my call to see if this offer is still available has left me dismayed. Upon calling I asked as humbly as possible if my dinner replacement was still up for the taking. The immediate response was frustrated yelling from the background that demanded to know my name, to which I replied. My name of course was not enough as this offer was not broadly known as it has been a few months since I have taken to the internet to have my food delivered on my door step two hours later wrapped in plastic. I was then demanded to repeat the name of the manager. Who I never would have asked for or would have remembered. The awkwardness of the call was heightened as the agitated voice from who I assume was the manager could be heard in the background. I pressured on that it was not at all a problem as the anger in the assumed managers voice grew as if I was scamming them out of a 14 dollar meal. To end our delightful conversation I once again stated that it was no problem as the manager protested that I should call tomorrow to speak to some corporate entity or higher up from my dastardly complaints. To which I have none. Food is pretty decent for fast food bbq. Service. 100 percent. Because this was hysterical as I have managed restaurants in the past. read more

Service was prompt and friendly, clean space but food was a disaster. Brisket and pulled pork were cold, almost felt refrigerated, and both were so dry I could barely chew the food. Was in town looking for a lunch spot drove by. Decided to give it a try I've had dichys in other cities. Went with their lunch pulled pork sandwich and 2 sides and a drink. I had potato casserole and Mac and cheese for side both were good. The pulled pork was good I added onions and pickles and the spicey bbq sauce kicked it up a notch I think it was $10 total. I love BBQ and grew up eating at CJ's. My wife and I showed up at 830 on a Friday for dinner. They were out of brisket and spicy sausage which was no to big a deal. However, they were also out of ice and BBQ sauce. Staff was great and helpful. Food was completely subpar albeit quite reasonable. read more

We got 2 sandwiches to go and when we got them home (50 miles away) we could not eat them because the meat on them was the burnt ends of the brisket piled on a bun. Sad when you pay almost 15 dollars for 2 sandwiches and a drink that you can't eat and can't take back because the drive is too far. Won't go back and won't reccomend. read more

The food for the most part is delicious. Today my husband went in and ordered a family pack which includes two huge things of meat. Usually when we order this meal we are sent home with a large container of BBQ sauce. Today we came home with the tiniest amount of BBQ sauce they could give us. Very frustrating since we have all this meat and no sauce. Because we were running late and needed to eat at home and leave again . . . We couldn't run back and get more. Frustrating. We had a gift card and a buy one get one coupon, so decided to try this place for the first time. It was disappointing. We tried several of the meats. The pulled pork and beef brisket were cold. The beef brisket was chopped up. The sauce wasn't great. The fries weren't cooked all the way. They were busy Sunday at noon. Wait in line no problem. Order 2 meat platter chicken and brisket, no chicken wanted green beans and mac and cheese no mac and cheese. Order two yellow cups went to get ice tea no tea!! Really noon on a Sunday!! I told them we wanted unsweet tea so what did the manager do he made the sweet tea first. The staff was really very nice and accommodating. The online ordering was smooth and convenient. But the food was NOT good. No flavor, no seasoning. The Mac n cheese almost tasted like plastic? When we went in to pick up the food, we decided to stay in and eat instead of taking it out. I thought the free ice cream cones were also a thoughtful touch. So we decided to get some. Hmm....well....my fiancé and I really wanted Mexican food that day but it was closed so we thought BBQ would be a good alternative. Not so much. The menu is really confusing and the staff does nothing but stare at you while you peruse the confusing, not too mention EXPENSIVE, options. I chose the chicken breast with potato salad and Mac and cheese. Chicken was dry, salad lacked flavor (wow! Too much dill!) and Mac and cheese was cold. My family and I went in, about a half hour before closing. As soon as we walked in, we heard the workers jokingly say to each other, "Nooo, oh no." I'm assuming because we had walked through the door. I thought nothing serious of it. Until a female worker taking our order, would literally slam the meat cooler as if she was disgusted, taking our order of meats one by one. She had the unfriendliest tones with the each of us, and unprofessional manners to our children. I understand the responsibilities of a closing shift at restaurants/fast foods can be overwhelming, but what do you expect for a late night rush? A man at the counter asked what kind of sauces we would be having, and was taking our side dish orders. He left out our sauces, and utensils. :( Also, since we went in so late, they told us we had to do take out. My family of four decided to try Dickey's for our Friday night dinner and we got the worst food ever. The meat had no smoke taste, it was not hot but warm, the sides were OK, but the BBQ sauce was terrible. My husband did the survey on-line, received a message from the store manager while he was at work so after work he called back and had to leave a message, NEVER heard anything from anyone there again. Save your money go to Famous Dave's, Blues BBQ, or even get a BBQ sandwich from Burger King it will be way better. read more

I never write reviews but felt compelled after this experience. One of their staff was horrible! She was rude and impolite. This was the first time I have been in a Dickey's so was unsure what to order. She was rude and impatient. The staff even made a rude comment about it instead of offering assistance or suggestions. The food was ok but extremely overpriced for what we got. NOT worth it. Won't be giving them anymore of our business. After reading other reviews, I would suggest they get new staff or train them on customer service. read more

Stopped by and got their family pack. The ribs were the worst i have ever had. They were so tough they were almost inedible. The brisket was ok. Sauce was too vinegary for our taste.
