Absolutely pathetic experience at Dickey's BBQ in Madison, MS. Spent $60 on an Uber Eats order placed OVER AN HOUR before closing, just for my driver to show up and be told they were out of baked potatoes, ALL tea, and comeback sauce. At that point, why are you even still accepting orders? Sounds more like the employees just didn't feel like doing their jobs. The two women working the closing shift on May 6, 2026 were also incredibly rude to my driver. Treating someone who is trying to do their job terribly because they want to go home early is. despicable. Then I tried calling the store 7 times and they flat-out ignored every single call. Lazy, unprofessional, and honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in Madison. I enjoyed the chicken, it was most moist. The fried okra was perfect. I especially like the three choices for additional bbq sauce. Like that the meat isn't overwhelmed with sauce. I didn't say anything the first time but this time I decided to call. Neither of the to people I spoke with really seemed concerned and said there was nothing they could do about it. The only good thing about this place is its name. I ordered the ribs with okra and Mac and cheese. The ribs still had the membrane on. There was no meat. It was just all fat. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, bbq beans, and a drink. I was told it would be about 5 before the beans would be ready. I said ok no problem. About 5 mins later they brought out our food, no beans. No problem I figured it would be a little longer. The bbq pork sandwich was excellent. OK, I am now finished with the sandwich, and still no beans. I went and checked. I don't think they ever put them in the over. Still not ready. No explination. No appology. Just a blank stare. No compensation. Just really bad customer service. I just left. Once again, Dickey's drops the ball. A few years ago, I placed a moderate to go order - about $80 - to pick up at 7. Paid, got there, and they had closed for the night. I could see the manager scurrying around hiding as I knocked on the door (I had guests over and we'd ordered dinner for all of us. She turned the lights off as I stood outside. So... I returned today and ordered online. 3 others who ordered online showed up right after me and none of our orders had been started. One left without food. I waited and got mine and it was....ok. Then I noticed there was an additional fee for "renew and recycle" program Dickey's has enacted. In other words, the customers will be assessed a few for something that is never mentioned online or in the store and no explanation is given. On top the 3.75% charge "added to the menu prices" (although NO prices are posted on their in store menu) for using a credit card and a dirty restaurant, nope, that's it for me. They were out of some of the menu items, which is understandable. A refund was processed, I hope, but they allegedly could not print a receipt or send and email confirmation. Service was not good. We placed an online order that was to be picked up just before closing. I understand that they'd probably worked all or most of the day, however, the lady in there was not very kind or welcoming. Good food my kids liked it for the most part.... but the kids meat meal with "ribs" had one rib..it was good but yes only one rib... I would rate our experience a 4.6 The reason why I would not go 5 stars is because the potato salad was pretty bland and Baked Beans were overly sweet but the Brisket was great! The spicy sauce was good but needed more heat... pretty mild in my opinion and I don't eat a lot of spicy foods. Waffle fries just okay.. and the Ice cream fell short as well being not dairy.. Great short notice catering and delivery Recently used them to cater a lunch for 45 at work. I had trouble calling the restaurant due to phone/data issues with their provider. I was able to get word to the manager and they called me from their cell phone to take the order. I was working with Chasity and told her what I was trying to do, she advised the best combinations for my group. This was less than 24 hours from when I needed the catering, she was confident they could meet the needs for us, and they did. I also had a last minute request to add ice for the drinks, when our ice machine was out of service the day of our meal, and that was met with "no problem" for the response and everything was delivered on time. read more

Ribs are the best around. Beans are good as well. BBQ sauce is my favorite kind...sweet. They have others. Potato Salad is not lumpy like I really want it....but it's good. Flowood, Mississippi location! Ken was very rude and unprofessional. He raised his voice constantly at us when he was in the wrong for how he was ringing up the food. I called today to speak with a manager. He was the manager on duty. I made him aware of the situation, he continued to raise his voice at me, and talked over me. When I asked to speak to the general manager he stated that was the general manager, which is false. The general manager is Emily. He also told me good luck with finding someone to help me because they will not help me. I go to this restaurant every other week and have never had an experience like this. I keep trying to find something to like about this place. I finally found it . My husband and I each ordered the smoke house salad . I got the smoked chicken in mine. It was about the size of a side salad with about 2 ounces of chicken, lettuce and a little shredded cheese. The ranch dressing was horrible. This was a win for me for as I'm on weight watchers and probably the only points was the cheese. We spent 23.00 and left hungry. The employees don't seem to care if you are there or not . If I could give a lower score I would. I have never been so insulted and disrespected. My son and I were coming in to get takeout since he had never eaten there. When we approached the door, the young lady opened the door and told my son he couldn't come in without a mask. He stated, "oh, I just forgot it in the car...let me run and go get it." She told me that I could come in if I wanted. I stated, "I don't want to leave my son outside alone." She retorted, "then you can't come in" and closed the door. Once my son retrieved his mask, we entered the restaurant and I did ask the young lady what did she say and why? She stated she didn't say what I thought she said. I asked to speak with her manager. She continued to talk even though I stated I was no longer speaking with her. I asked my son if he had reviewed the menu, he told me that he no longer wanted to eat there. I was then even more upset because that bothered him. So I told her that I needed to see the manager because today was NOT the day to let this go. The manager came out and the young lady kept talking. The manager never addressed me. The manager told her, "I know you are not rude." I said excuse me, will you please acknowledge my existence. I asked her would she like to hear from the person with the complaint. I asked for her name and another manager. She refused her name and refused to give me the contact information of another manager. The cook came out (Charles) and told me that I had to leave because I was threatening the workers. I was baffled because I never used any threatening language or gestures nor did I raise my voice at any point while speaking. I left because the staff caused a scene that could have been avoided. In all the years I have eaten at Dickey's and used the catering services, I have never been treated in such a manner. I'm always surprised at the lack of BBQ in our area, so I'm happy to have Dickey's as an option, even if it is a chain. They do a good job, their pulled pork is flavorful, if not a bit fatty. Their sauce is good too, all of them bordering on too sweet though, but still, not bad. The staff is friendly, the sides are pretty decent, the serve yourself soft serve is a nice touch, and kids eat free on Sunday's. There is a lot to like about this place. It is your only BBQ option for a few miles and it has better hours than the next nearest (and much pricier) place. read more

Om nom nom nom nom. I have no ill words for Dickey's BBQ pit. As far as ribs are concerned, this was a fantastic place to have some juicy, meaty, tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs. I believe Dickey's is new to Madison, and since I am in town, we had to try some! My mom and I went in to order take-out on a Sunday evening (kudos for being open on Sunday, btw). We were greeted cheerfully and helped through the ordering process. Start at the side and continue to order meat, sides, drinks. We went with the picnic platter, which came with 1 lb. of meat and 2 sides. We got the creamy coleslaw (awesome) and baked potato casserole (it has bacon on top, I do not need to say more). The ribs were absolutely spectacular. Literally, fall off the bone, make a mess on my face spectacular. If I had to give a criticism, I'd say that the spicy bbq sauce just wasn't quite 'spicy'. But, no matter. I still cleaned my plate. To top it off, they have all you can eat soft-serve ice cream! Even though we got take-out, I still splurged with some fro-yo. YUM. So, for a Sunday-funday, or any night where you want some finger-licking good BBQ, I'd suggest you go to Dickey's. My family will definitely be back! read more

Don't get the ribs. I had pork ribs which were very dark and nasty. No telling how long they had been in storage. They leave the membrane on the bone portion which is just wrong.
