I don't usually review chain restaurants, but after a full daddy-son day, we were both wiped and hungry. I was craving some southern BBQ, searched nearby spots, and saw Dickey's pop up about 5 miles away. Decided to give it a shot even though the reviews online had mixed reactions. Glad I did. This place is under new ownership and it's a completely different experience now. The food is way better, the vibe is better, and honestly the old reviews don't do it justice anymore. When we walked in, it had a clean setup but still gave that southern BBQ feel. I ordered sliced brisket, smoked chicken, and smoked turkey. All of it was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. For sides I got baked beans and mac and cheese, plus Texas toast. Everything came out hot and tasted legit. My son kept stealing bites off my plate, so that's how you know it was good. The guy running the front was cool too. Real friendly, made us feel welcome right away. Gave off a solid BBQ joint vibe. Overall, this spot impressed me. It's a great little spot for BBQ, especially after a long day with the kid. Definitely coming back.

First time visiting this location after my usual Dickie's in Clairemont closed (sad face). This restaurant seems to have a smaller overall store footprint, but still retains all the feels of from the other Dickie's locations I've patronized over the years. I dropped my same day order via their app and popped in after the scheduled pickup time because I knew it would be busy and they would likely be behind schedule--they were. The hardworking staff were doing their best to fill orders with the team members they had on deck. They easily could have used at least 1-2 more to cover the rush but I'm sure it's hard to justify those costs between busy spikes like Independence Day weekends. Anywho, after a bit of waiting in the store I was able to confirm my order and carry it out. I should have spent my time more wisely and filled up several small containers of their signature sauce while I waiting for my order to be filled. Normally, I can request a small container of sauce but it was crazy busy and I was just happy to get my order and that it was correct so I could return to feed my hungry family. - Brisket was solid. - Same with the pulled pork. - Seems like the yummy biscuits were recently replaced with a pitiful version of Texas toast; or perhaps that's just what this location offers. - Small salad is a joke here - Beans are still a favorite of me and my kids - Fries were a soggy mess Not a bad first visit. The meats were solid, which really are the key selling point here for me and the fam. Didn't like the Texas toast here at all or the sad excuse for a salad. I'll stick with beans, fried okra with mac & cheese for my sides next visit. It was a bit of a drive but Still worth a visit when it's too hot and I'm too lazy to cue myself.

Dickey's is under new ownership! Food was perfectly cooked and a good size portion. The only thing that could make this better is some fluffy cornbread! It's nice to see the part owner/manager there on a constant basis to ensure everyone is running smooth.

This is a 3 meat plate! Wow...really this was $19.00 I'm so disappointed

Noticed a New Owners sign and decided to give this place a try once more! Nash greeted me and was so excited and fired up for their reopening - I ordered a few sandwiches per his suggestion- I hope they can turn the reviews and business around

Family Pack $89.00 Brisket (asked for sliced, but looks chopped) , Pork Ribs

This was my first time trying Dickey's Barbecue Pit. I like to order the family combo or combo meals in bbq places. I like that you can try a little bit of everything they have to offer. Different meats and sides. I ordered the family combo for $89.99 for myself and my family. We got the pork ribs and sliced brisket. I was expecting whole slices. This brisket looked like pulled pork. I just feel when you cut brisket this way it drys out faster. The ribs were really good. The meat was falling off the bone. And when you check in on yelp, you get a free sandwich. I picked the turkey sandwich. I forgot to take a picture of it. It was ok. The sides we picked were Bbq baked beans, they were good. Loaded mashed potatoes. They weren't to our liking. They felt like they need some kind of gravy to go with it. We also got Mac and cheese. That Mac and cheese was so disappointing. They were cold. Not even lukewarm. Such a waste of a side option. We didn't even eat it. The ladies that worked at this restaurant were really nice. But, if they had checked the food temps on the Mac and cheese they would've known right away that the Mac and cheese needed to be warmed up. Another thing that I didn't like about this restaurant was the bathrooms. They have 2 unisex bathrooms. Both bathrooms were dirty. And I mean dirty! They both looked like they haven't been clean in a while. I walked out and told the girls working that both bathrooms were dirty. They said they would look. But I have no clue if they had cleaned them. I probably won't be back to this restaurant. If I'm craving bbq, I will go to the Rib Shack in Fallbrook or Firehouse Que & Brew in Fallbrook.

Always when I come here the owner is such a positive and enthusiastic individual. No matter what he will make things right by his business. Always when I order everything is fresh including the French fries; they start cooking your right as you arrive. I love this place for good barbecue

In the back is also a brewery of their craft brews. See them in pictures I've added. I definitely need to go back to check out the craft brewery. -No dogs allowed on the farm portion I went upstairs to have brunch, which is a new addition to the area. Staff was definitely attentive. I recommend making reservations for this so that you get the tables either outside overlooking the farm or the field. We did a walk-in for four people so we could only get a table on the inside. It's definitely a cool place to hang out temperature wise. Food was pretty quick to come out. Portion sizes are moderate to big that we had to take home some stuff. We did have an issue where the chicken was undercooked, but they were able to remedy that very quickly. Definitely get the beet hummus. I only wish they had more crudités accompany it. You can see it only came out in a small little dish. Probably would recommend either sizing down the hummus or going up on the vegetables to make it a little bit more complete. The chicken and pancake was definitely interesting and not what I expected. Pancake is carrot and lemon, but you can't really taste the lemon. It only had sparse carrot in it, but definitely still worth a taste. The chicken was definitely savory and more herby so it kind of overpowered the pancake a bit. Definitely chicken packed. Fries came out pretty soggy, which was a downside. The root vegetable has looked pretty good and it was definitely a sizable portion. The eggs and pasture was a little bit interesting in the sense that day. It was kind of a fried egg surrounded by a pasta sauce and then there's bread ciabatta slices on the plate. It's pretty good not overly salty or overly tart for the sauce. Definitely a good keto/Paleo option if you don't eat the bread. We also had their banana bread, which was really good - it wasn't able to take pictures of it since we demolished it pretty quickly. I highly recommend any bakery items. It's a very family friendly affair as we saw large families with numerous children coming in and you can have a place to let the dogs run in the small field front of the restaurant. I saw a lot of other families is bringing their dogs out onto the patio portion of the restaurant. Overall, the ambience is very family friendly and I would definitely come back here again for a chill morning brunch. Note that they close at 1 PM for brunch! Warning: that there's a limited parking so you need to get there early! They will have a traffic mediator once it's full

I tried Brunch Point for the first time today with my parents and had a nice experience overall…read more The restaurant has a bright, open feel with both indoor and outdoor seating, plus plenty of parking. I also noticed dogs are allowed on the patio. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu questions. My parents both really enjoyed their meals. They ordered the Classic Omelet and the Ensenada Omelet with home style potatoes and were already talking about coming back after the first few bites. I ordered the Mexican Omelet, which was just okay for me. I would have liked the bell peppers to be cooked a little longer, and the dish could have been warmer when it arrived. That said, there were enough positives that I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu. Based on how much my parents enjoyed their food, I think it's worth another visit.

Wow!!! Amazing food! Relaxed and comfortable vibe. Friendly and attentive staff. Spotlessly clean!…read moreWe were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Our server Jared really made us feel welcome. He offered great suggestions, answered questions and made sure we had everything we needed to have an exceptional dining experience. He checked on us frequently in such warm and friendly way - he really made our day. The Brunch Point venue is open and airy (great breeze blowing through), clean and contemporary. The outside patio is comfortable and perfect mix of shade and sun. Excellent food choices with really creative (and delicious) options - sweet savory or spicy. Fresh ingredients prepared with the perfect touches make for delicious dining! Our food came quickly and was perfect and beautiful too. Nice cocktail choices and non-alcohol cocktails too. See pics of my BP waffle below it was a complete work of art! Delicious too! The help yourself coffee bar is a brilliant idea. Never wait for coffee! There were about 8 coffee choices, both caf and decaf. Hubby said coffee was very good, unfortunately the containers ran dry too quickly and I never tried any. Next time! Right now their hours are 8 am -3pm. Yummy breakfast/brunch all day - and super reasonable specials too - look for chalkboard with specials. They are hoping to make dinner again in the near future. You have to try this place! So good! We will be returning again (and again) very soon.
