Place has definitely gone downhill. Staff ain't friendly at all. Only when the check comes and they want their tip for doing their job. The food is low quality, our meat was grey one time. Rice paper tasted old. They had all the extra side dishes waiting on a table for 10-15 minutes before they sat us there. So our food was just sitting there. We ordered bulgogi and we definitely did not get normal bulgogi meat, which is usually tender. This was definitely briskets that was seasoned in the same sauce the bulgogi is usually in. I always try to avoid this manna because last 3 times had been terrible. Go to their convoy location for the best. Mira mesa is okay. But this San Marcos one is terrible.

The service was amazing! Would totally come back again and did you know the ICE CREAM IS INCLUDED !! They have vanilla, chocolate and green tea ice cream. I would come back again. Lunch was not busy on a thursday and would highly recommend this place.

We were excited to try Manna Heaven BBQ, but unfortunately left disappointed. I'll start with the positive: the restaurant itself was clean, organized, and well maintained. Beyond that, though, the experience went downhill. Our family of five was greeted and asked how many were in our party. We were told to wait a moment while our table was prepared. After being seated, we discovered the table only had two place settings. We had to ask for the remaining plates and then remind the staff for enough napkins, sauce holders, and utensils. These are basic details that should already be taken care of before seating guests. When we ordered, the portions were much smaller than expected for a table of five. We ended up having to double our order after realizing it wouldn't be enough. It would have been helpful if our server had given us a heads-up instead of letting us find out after the food arrived. I understand they're an AYCE restaurant and that guests can reorder as many times as they'd like, and I also understand that portion control helps manage food costs. Even so, the initial portions we received seemed disproportionately small for a family of five. As for the food, it was average at best. We've had much better Korean BBQ at smaller, independently owned restaurants. The menu offers the standard selections like bulgogi, brisket, galbi, pork belly, and the usual favorites, but nothing stood out. Some of the meat even had a slightly off smell, which immediately made us question the quality. The steamed egg arrived flat and looked nothing like the menu photo. The banchan was also forgettable, and many of the marinades tasted nearly identical, overwhelmingly sweet, as if everything had been marinated in the same sugary soy sauce. The service also left a lot to be desired. We came right at opening, so the restaurant wasn't busy, yet one of the waitresses never smiled once and came across as though serving customers was an inconvenience. Hospitality matters, especially when the restaurant isn't under pressure. To top it off, conversations from the kitchen could be heard throughout the dining room because the kitchen staff were constantly yelling to one another in the back. It wasn't the occasional call you'd expect in a busy restaurant, it was frequent enough to become distracting and took away from the dining experience. Overall, I'd give this Manna Heaven BBQ location a 4/10. The restaurant is clean, but the combination of inattentive service, mediocre food, small portions, and an overall lackluster experience means we won't be returning. There are simply too many better Korean BBQ options to justify another visit.

Excellent deal and has grown to be one of our favorite KBBQ spots, despite living on Convoy street for 12+ years. Took a friend from out of town there today he loved it! Our favs are the pork jowl, short ribs, garlic pork belly, beef belly, spicy pork bulgogi, and the ribeye. Also, dont sleep on any of the chicken options, it's always tender and juicy! Sides are all pretty solid too. Love the large portions of onion, jalapeno, and garlic. Least exciting thing there is the banchan, but there's so much to choose from that you don't miss it, plus they bring out a free large side of japchae. Service is pretty good too - prompt and friendly and now they have tablets on the table that allow you to continue to summon additional menu items. However, I noticed there wasn't an option to request additional napkins, silverware, or utinsels on the tablet. Only recommendation for service here would be that they try to clear out plates a bit faster to keep your table cleaner and still appetizing. Ambiance is a little off with the French artwork. Seems out of place, but I feel like you're always too busy and distracted at a KBBQ place to really bother noticing these little things.

My experience was completely unsatisfactory. We arrived at 12:25PM by 12:30PM. Servers were rude. We asked for two glasses of water and there were flies in my water which unknowingly I drank one and there were still flies in my water. When our server came she was unapologetic about the fact, and assumed we would still be eating at this restaurant. As well as the vibe was just unwelcoming and our server was being short and bossy to her other coworkers. All around just an unprofessional and unhealthy establishment.

Bad food with bad service but "good "service charge!! Will never come back again. The meat was not fresh, chopsticks and dishes were not clean.

The food is good, the service is fine, even when there is no rush it is a bit slow. They recently introduced screens to order however the orders don't always go through and you have to either order again or through a worker. Though with the speed of service it's hard to tell whether the order goes through or not. (The workers are very kind and fun!) We do enjoy the ice cream bar at the front!

Brought the guys here for their first kbbq trip, ambiance was exactly what we were looking for. Most people critique kbbq for service but our ladies were excellent. Always came back to ask if we needed anything. Food was just awesome, for the lunch deal is was phenomenal and for a group of football players it stuffed everyone. The plates were massive, I'm not sure if its because the kitchen knew who they were serving or they always bring out the best . Would come back here with the guys.

Manna San Marcos has the nicest staff out of everwhere else! The corn cheese was amazing (: Come to this location, it has a nice ambiance (: The windows are coveres so theres no sunlight but it was still a nice vibe compared to the Mira Mesa location.

Service is ok the server ladies are very monotone, and selective about who they are friendly and cheerful with... Worst part was I found A HAIR in the noodles and they were not even apologetic about it.

Great food and service. Everything was as good as it gets. Service was excellent. Ambiance was great with a re-model. We will definitely be back. Jennifer our server did a fantastic job and had a great sense of humor especially when she called me a baby and sever me some Korean milk to which my wife totally agreed. I would leave her and Manna 10 stars if I could.

This was an awesome spot for a late night kbbq craving. It was busy so we had to wait 5-10min for 2 but once we got seated, service was quick to help with ordering. The food came quick, portion sizes were good and consistent, and quality was there. I love it when kbbq places give a good amount of lettuce for wraps like Manna. The restaurant itself is kind of loud with how close the tables are and all the stations going at the same time. However it didn't bother us and is probably expected. We really enjoyed this spot and would go again if we're in the area.

Ask the Community - Manna Heaven BBQ

What is the price for kids, and what is the age range?

    30

Do we have to make a reservation?

No, you can walk in and be put on their waitlist. Their wait time can be long on the weekend.

What is the soy sauce they use/serve? It is really good but I'm not sure it's just plain soy sauce. I want to buy it or try to make it at home but I'm not sure if it's a specific brand or what ingredients?

Hello there, it is manna house made sauce that has soy sauce as an ingredient. We do sell sauce by itself at each restaurant. Have a great weekend

Do you need a reservation for a group of 5 or 6?

Mostly Yes, Manna is very busy on weekend but maybe Monday-Thursday you can just walk in. We reserved through yelp App and it helps because they tell you how much estimated time is left.

What is the lunch dine in price?

    30 and up

For bigger groups...Do we all have to order from the ALCE menu or can some get a bento box? Or entree?

Hello! Dine in is for ayce only. Thank you!

    Is there still indoor dining?

Yes! You have to sign in on an iPad, and get your temperature taken before being seated inside.

Are they still offering all you can eat?

    Yes we do! Thank you!

What is dine in like now? Are portable grills provided and we Can we still grill outside?

"Dine-out" is available. They have tents and tables set up outside and the portable grills available too.

How much is it per person? What are the menu prices?

$25-$28/pp depending on the menu option you go for.

Hey! Just wondering when you guys will be open again?

We are just waiting for government to allow us to open. We are opening as soon as government order is removed :) we cant wait to serve you guys again soon!

Do you get charged when you don't finish all of the food?

Hello policy states that we do; however, we normally don’t unless left over meats are extreme amount.

How much is the dinner for 3years old?

Children 4 and under are free.

    Do they have sesame oil?

    Yes we do! Thank you

Do you get all the sides like the pancake at dinner?

No. You have to order one item on the menu and your mimosa separately. Make sure to order the endless mimosas.

Do they have an area that will seat a large group?

It's pretty roomy there.. not sure if there is a secluded area, but the main area is large where they could put lots of tables together.

Does it have to be a group of 2 or more or can I just go on my own?

Ive seen singles there many times. I dont believe there is a rule on needing more than one person.

Do they have a vegetarian option?

Besides the sides you receive (lettuce with dressing, glass noodles, kimchi, potato salad etc.) They offer limited veggies to grill. They also have soups and steamed egg, if you eat egg.

    Lunch pricing or specials?

No specials that I saw. The prices are for two options menu A with more variety of meat and seafood (pretty much menu A and B combined) for $27.99 or menu B has a few choices for $22.99.

Do they have kids prices? If so what's the age range and how mich is it?

I know my 10 year old was half price, but I didn't ask what the age range is for kids.

As noted by its name, this place served a fusion of Chinese and Korean cuisines. Their Encinitas location took over what used to be a roadside diner along N Coast Hwy 101. The seating capacity was less than 40 people which included a few high-top counter spots. At my last visit, I came for a late dinner before their closing time. A large menu was posted on the wall behind the service counter that listed about two dozen food offerings. The items seemed to be comfort food like pot stickers, spring rolls, fried rice, and chicken wings but flavored with unique combinations of seasonings and spices. I started my meal with the Marinated Beef Tri-Tip Skewers which came as a set of three and a Chinese mustard for dipping. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned. I also ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry which the cashier said was medium spicy. After tasting a couple of bites of the noodles from the serving bowl, I agreed that the heat level was moderate, even for my palate. I thought the portion size should have been more for the price. That was my main criticism for both items, otherwise the food was solid for an Asian fusion eatery.

We recently noticed the topping options were removed from DoorDash, which is a big downside. The toppings are kind of the whole point, like the sugar coating and sauces.
