I bought some Dickies Carpenter jeans to replace my old ones. The jeans are terrible. Instead of being a heavy material like my old ones they are thin and stretchy. I have only worn them for a few months and they have snags all over them. The belt loops have been made wide and the front pockets look like they were made for dress pants. In fact it looks like someone decided carpenter pants should resemble dress pants. Dickies has been around a long time and they should know better. I guess what should expect from a company that decides to move from Fort Worth to San Francisco. I am done with Dickies. read more

What a cool store! My husband has always worn Dickies brand pants, but this was our first visit to the Fort Worth store. It won't be our last. He needed 5 pair of identical pants, but only 3 were on the shelf. The clerk immediately found more pants in storage. She also suggested a different style that was a better choice and a bit cheaper. The Quality of clothing, that the Dickies brand, used to make compared to now has gone down in quality quite drastically. I remember back in the day when Dickie's coats/pants/work shirts used to be quite thick and warm and of good quality material. I was given a Dickie's jacket for Christmas and the zipper is now pulling apart from the jacket, besides the fact that the thin layer of insulation in the jacket just makes me feel like .... here goes another brand, that I once trusted, is just another brand that that is now about quantity over their quality. :/ THUMBS DOWN read more

Came here with Bae, Jon G., to grab him some extra shorts and pants for work. From the outside this place just looks like a run down, warehouse type outlet. But I was surprised by how nice it was inside! Really well organized store, staff was friendly upon checkout, although no one asked if we needed help until the end, when we were already walking to the register. Prices aren't as good as other outlets I've been too, but they have a large selection and carry women and children's fashions as well. There were scrubs in varying styles in the back too! Few things are more Fort Worth than good old Dickies. Well, maybe pick up trucks, guns, cowboy hats, voting Republican and NASCAR, but you can do all those things while wearing Dickies, so it works out. Here is my Dickies experience in a nutshell: - AWESOME old building built in 1922 as the original garage for Dickies' delivery trucks. Go just for the building. - Great customer service. Granted I went at 11 am on a Monday, but still. - This stuff is cheap. Maybe because it was a "factory outlet", or maybe because Dickies stuff just IS cheap. I dunno. Awesome building, pretty cool clothes in a we're-made-for-rough-workers-but-are-also-kinda-cool way. And it is a Fort Worth institution, so +2 points for that. read more

They had me at pants. Seriously, the mecca for the working class 'Murica crowd. Old folks wear it, east side does too. I would take a zombie apocalypse to stain Dickies work shorts with the cell phone pocket. Remember that 80's scotch guard option for your Chevy Camaro? I actually have a Dickies "outlet" closer to home in San Marcos, Texas. I actually complained to a chap about the selections as the flagship store here in Fort Worth had much more inventory. Andrew P. suggested that I speak with the director of all the Dickies stores if I had future issues. Good news was the buy one get one half off on the shorts I love saved my wallet a beating. Went here to purchase some pants fo my daughter. We arrived there at 6:06 the sign at the front door states they close at 6:30. I know I should've checked their hours.. however I was there to purchase ONE pair of pants for my daughter. We got a few pairs for her to try out and headed towards the back of the store to check out their clearance section and see if they had any pants there that she would like. I was immediately approached by an associate asking If we needed help, I declined and she then said "ok just a reminder we close in 10 minutes".. I checked my time because I had JUST gotten there. The time was 6:12. So we head to the fitting room and she tries on the pants and I leave to get another size come back and wait and another associate approaches me telling me their register shuts down in five minutes.. all while he's yelling at another customer and her kids "2 minutes come on!!!!" And while I'm standing there the fitting room associate walks directly in front of me telling the other guy "I can't stand when they decide to come in 15 minutes till closing". I'm not the type to complain and had I known the staff would be this rude I wouldn't have come at all. I think it's disrespectful to speak to customers that way. No respect at all and almost like they couldn't be bothered. And for management to allow this type of behavior from its associates Is inexcusable. This is your job. I don't complain about many things, but .... I came to the Dickies Company Store in Fort Worth, as I have before. However, this experience was different. The manager Eric, felt the need to approach me in the store and indicate that he was only going to accept my return, this time. I found this odd and offensive, why, you may ask? Due to the fact, I had been in the store for several minutes and had already made initial contact with 3 other store associates. It boggled my mind, that he would singled me out, while shopping. Why would Eric have the need to be so emphatic? The forwardness of his behavior, admittedly, caught me off guard. Once, I swallowed the frog in my throat, I now approached Eric for clarity on the return policy. I indicated the glaring contradiction in 'his words' and the quality guarantee plastered on all Williamson-Dickie media. He replied, that this store is retail and the rest are wholesale. I replied, the policy seems to be company wide. Eric replied, that he had been here for 9 years and was well aware of the return policy. For the sake of clarity and to be sure that I did not misunderstand. I asked Eric specifically why would his policy be contradictory to the 'widely known' company policy. Eric replied, be was not going to argue with me and the he had been here for 9 years. It is been a number of years, since I have been chastised or made to feel like a child. Perhaps Eric was having a bad day, but his demeanor was calm and his resolve was absolute. With the self-assuredness that exuded from his approached, I am certain that these words have been uttered before, by Eric. I'm no thug, not disrespectful and I carry myself daily with dignity, in fact, I was in company uniform. (Dickes) Not that any of those things would excuse Eric's behavior, but I could empathize. In addition to being bad, when I responded to their email request for a review, because it was not positive, they informed me that their moderators would not permit it to be on their site. So in addition to being bad in the way I describe, they're even worse because the ratings on their site are a sham. Here is what I wrote on their requested review in its entirety that they would not post: Really annoying The pants are fine. I find it quite arrogant that when the company doesn't have everything you ordered, they don't tell you this and find out what you'd like to do, they unilaterally decide that they'll keep your money for the things they do have, ship those, and only then let you know. The overall quality of the clothing is not great, above that the customer service is absolute utter disappointment. Teresa was not our cashier and when we tried to use a discount code my uncle had provided for us, she went ballistic. For certain the way she behaved was out of place, when she simply could have said that was not valid and left it at that. Our cashier was quiet while she raised her tone saying NO NO NO, like we had not understood with a simple fact that she had already stated, of it not being valid. I was amazed at the fact she believed, because we presented a dIscount card she assumed we couldn't afford the items we had selected. Horrible customer service on her part. Once upon a time, I lost my salaried writing job. At a loss, I quickly picked up an (ill-advised) gig waiting tables at The-Restaurant-That-Will-Not-Be-Named. It was awful, and the uniform was hideous: Frankenstein shoes, stiff collared shirt buttoned all the way up, bow tie (on a lady, eeeugh), stiff apron, stiff black pants. I did not want to spend a lot on this stuff, which I knew I would never wear again, once I found another salaried job. Dickies hooked me up. A nice lady there helped me find everything I needed and wished me luck on my first day. She gave me a coupon for the next time I came in. Cool! Here's where things get hinky. I had to go back to return a few things and get new others. I forgot my coupon. I ask the gentleman checking me out if he can apply it anyway, since every customer gets a coupon, and clearly since I have a receipt, I have purchased something. He asks the nice lady from last time, she says no. Okay, whatever, bummer. Then she watches and waits until I'm totally done checking out, and says, "Oh, I was going to apply that coupon, but now it's too late." Cue side-eye. What a tease. Just don't offer, if you don't really want to save me $30! Also, why is there security there all the time? Do they have that bad of a shrinkage problem? Is the neighborhood unsafe? Hm hm hm. If one wants one's house and garden help to look professional, then it is, I believe, your responsibility as their employer to kit them out properly. The Dickies outlet is right next to the actual factory in an historic red brick building and very convenient to get to. I have bought uniforms for eight household employees (in 20 years) there. The quality of the work shirts, pants and shoes remain satisfactory, and both my indoor and outdoor help enjoys the comfortable feel and roominess of their uniforms. (They like the choice of colors, too) I have also found their work shoes I've bought for them to be sturdy, well made, and long lasting. Totally satisfied, and I will continue to buy my employees' work clothes at Dickies. (Very limited parking, though which prevents a 5 star rating) read more

Deals were meh, I was surprised though that the outlet next to the factory did not have a big and tall section.

Staff is always friendly, clothes are always decent, prices are good. Nothing bad to say about the place other than where are all the flannel shirts?! I came at the beginning of fall and no flannel. Guess I'll have to check back. read more

Who can argue that Dickies are high quality work clothes worth buying. Customer service, however, is just as important. The staff here are snobby are more interested in chatting amongst themselves than noticing a customer who walks through the door. They don't have to worry though; because the police officer who follows the customers around keeps track of things. I did purchase one item and then left the store. I do not plan to go back ever again. I will buy online from now on. read more
