Not only was Justin the most reasonably priced out of all the estimates we got, but it only took around three days of work to do everything. Justin is very friendly, honest, and hardworking, and we are absolutely thrilled with the work he completed. If you need any work done, I can't recommend him enough. 1/30/18: I needed drywall, trim, and paneling replaced after a plumbing issue. I received a response from Justin within minutes of requesting a quote on Yelp. He was able to come out, give us an estimate, and get the work scheduled relatively easily. I thought he did a fantastic job. Justin was very polite, and did a great job explaining what he was going to do before he did it. Best of all, the final total came in under what he quotedMy fiancée and I were very pleased and will definitely be calling on Justin the next time we need something done.

On 12/5/2023, I paid for a custom dog crate from Country Woodworking and Art, LLC, through their…read moreEtsy page. The delivery time was to be 8-10 weeks. On 1/8/2024, the owner sent me a message saying he was sending me a care package with cleaning supplies and that the tracking number was for that and not the dog crate. He would give me more information on the delivery of the crate when he had it. I was concerned enough to create a record with Etsy chat because sending a package I did not request nor even really want, creates a tracking number and makes it look like the dog crate has been delivered, when it was not the dog crate that was delivered. I wanted to make Etsy aware it was not the crate. In February 2024, I asked the owner about the crate because the 10 weeks were up. He said it was delayed a few weeks. In March, I asked again because "a few weeks" had passed. He said it would be delivered in "early April". In mid-April. I asked again and he said "next week". The next week, I asked again and he said he would assemble it the next day and his driver would pick it up that weekend. I sent two messages after that and he just ghosted me. I filed a claim with PayPal for a refund and they said they were provided with the tracking number, and told it was delivered. Only a bottle of cleaner was ever delivered and it was in an envelope. It definitely wasn't a dog crate. His Etsy shop closed shortly after my claim to PayPal, but I still have all the messages where he kept promising to deliver the crate so I have everything I need to prove he never delivered it. Then suddenly right before PayPal is supposed to make their decision, he messages me saying he wants to deliver the crate. All I have to do is drop my PayPal claim first. When I said I wouldn't drop the claim until after I had the crate, he said he would then reserve the right to fight it because he doesn't give refunds. Now, even though the PayPal dispute is still open and he has BOTH my money AND the crate, he has the crate up for sale on his Facebook page.

I didn't hear…read moreanything so I reached out. 5 Facebook messages and 5 emails later, I finally received a response in Sept. They told me that the crate would be shipping soon and their Facebook got hacked... I explained I understood it was a custom crate and takes time and to please just keep me posted. Now, end of October, I emailed on 10/9, still no response. Unfortunately, I have another crate from them that was a completely different experience, but I won't be using them ever again and will be disputing this charge on my card. I'm guessing the business will go under soon, as the owner can't keep up and is just collecting money and lying. I will be reporting to BBB as well.

We're so grateful we found Reid's Home Repair for our big basement refinish project - great work…read moreand great humans! Our home was built in 1913 and gut rehabbed in 2024. However, the basement was not finished, but had rough-in plumbing installed. We were looking for someone to finish the basement (4 rooms total), including adding an additional bedroom with closet and full bathroom. This included all electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, door installation, flooring, trim, and painting. Mike was quick to respond to my original inquiry, come check out the space, and provide a quote. He was timely, friendly, and easy to collaborate with. We changed our mind a few times on final design - we appreciate how patient he was with us while we narrowed in on the final plan. The final quote was very detailed and he provided helpful information on the areas for potential cost increase (given that the home is old and there could have been unexpected things identified after work begun). This helped us set our expectations for the project. During the project, he kept us up to date on progress or concerns and kept the area very clean (ensuring very little debris made its way outside the basement into our home). He managed all of the subcontractors (electric, plumbing, carpet, etc) so we didn't need to worry about a thing. Made it super easy by having one point of contact! His work speaks for itself. There were a lot of difficult aspects of the basement to figure out (i.e. uneven walls and ceilings, tricky vents or pipes along the ceiling, water/electrical shutoffs needing to be accessible, etc), but he managed to turn the space into exactly what we were looking for. The attention to detail makes all the difference! In the end, the project took about two months (including carpet installation) and final cost was in line with the estimate. I'd recommend Reid's Home Repair to anyone!
