This was a neat place and I'm glad I visited. I ventured off my path from Portland to Seattle to visit Dicks Brewing and North West Sausage because it was in Diners Drive Inns abs Dives. It's off the beaten path and seems to be in a camping community. It's very rustic and old school cabin like inside. It's warm and welcoming. The young girl behind the counter was very good especially for her age. She was friendly and knowledgeable, overall a good help in me making my decision. I went with the Bratwurst and it didn't disappoint. With still a long way to go and a very late arrival time I had to try the smoked steak French dip. When I got to my hotel I want to try it and have it the next day but I couldn't stop it was outstanding. If you have an opportunity to c visit don't pass it up. read more

I've heard only good things so we decided to stop on our way home from Seattle. I was pretty disappointed, and I don't leave negative reviews often. I got the prime rib dip and I'm still convinced it was bad meat. It had such a rotten taste. It may have just been my taste buds playing with me, but it made me feel ill. The baked beans were delicious though. My boyfriend had the only burger on the menu and he said it was very boring. My one year old had a grilled cheese and no complaints there lol. Our service was odd and maybe it was just cause it was the end of the day and close to closing. But our waitress just seemed ready to go home and over all the people. The location itself was small, but comforting. We sat outside which was a mistake because the wasp problem was insane. Not their fault, but my god they just never left my food alone the entire meal. A little way off from the Interstate but worth it. The "today special" was a Philly steak sandwich and the corn chowder. Both were excellent and I'd come back just for sandwich and chowder if that's all they have - but there is so much more to try on my next visit. Greeted with friendly service. I was looking for deli style food close to my hotel and Dick's popped up on google maps. I'm so glad that it did! I got their Rueben sandwich and it was amazing. The rye bread was very light and toasted. There was a perfect ratio between corned beef and kraut so that neither over powered the other. And plenty of thousand island to hold it all together. Let's just say I had to hold the sandwich in a napkin to save my shirt, it was juicy in the best way. The sandwich was served with house made potato salad, which was a triumph in its own right. Savory and perfectly dressed, each ingredient held up and worked together. In house brewed root beer rounded off the meal with a delicate sweetness and fresh bite. Staff was helpful and friendly. The dining room is small but the booths are roomy. The fact I was eating alone and felt completely at home eating this delicious meal while listening to a full length concert by the Dave Matthews's Band over the sound system was the cherry on top of this particular cake. read more

I saw this place on Diners, Drive Ins & Dives and Had To Come & See If It was as good as it looked on TV... and I am glad I did!! The sandwiches were amazing. The bread was perfectly toasted and the meat/ cheese was full of flavor!! I don't like everyone's Potato Salad, but their potato salad was delicious. It was made with red potato's, it was the right texture and consistency, and carried a flavor filled punch. In addition to amazing food that they serve in their restaurant, they have meat, cheese and beer that you can take out. The establishment was clean ((including the bathroom)) and the staff was friendly and attentive. Great experience!! read more

Simply good food. Deli set up with a small dining room. The decor is basic but nice and clean. Our waitress was attentive and provided professional service for a busy Friday night. Our meal was served quickly and as I said the food was good. I had the cheeseburger with Tim's chips. The rest of the table got sandwiches with the homemade potato salad. Walked in, was asked if we had a reservation, told the person no, she pointed to a booth in the back and said it was open,waited for 10 minutes or more. 3 other couples were seated after us and received acknowledgement and menus. Diners Drive-Ins and Dives brought me here! I brought my parents and husband here to give it a try. We all got their signature sausage (except my husband who got a reuban) and tried some of Dick's Brew. Food came out very fast and it was very good. My initial visit, I was told they didn't have any Italian sausage, but that was just an honest mistake. The manager Bryan messaged me, and said they do indeed have Italian sausage in the freezer. I revisited them earlier today, and they had beautiful sausage links in the freezer. I bought 2 packages, went instantly home, and made a delicious sausage sandwich!! 5 stars, because of you, Bryan!! I make it a point to drop in when I'm down in the Grand Mound and Great Woof Lodge area. This is basically the food/restaurant/deli arm of Dick's Brewery, and it doesn't disappoint. My two favorite items are the French dip sandwich and their cheese burger. Both are satisfyingly big and delicious..and I get to wash them down with one of Dick's IPAs, the grapefruit ale being my favorite. And yes, the servers are prompt and friendly too! Oh..and they have a lot of different sausages and cheeses you can buy, and various Dick's brews are sold by the six-pack! Definitely worth stopping by if you have the time. read more

Order came with wrong side and they charged a lot for substituting a green salad for our other side (nearly as much as just buying the salad outright). Our server was in a hurry. Holy moly Batman, this place is awesome! I searched for a lunch spot as I was driving south near Great Wolf Lodge and this spot showed up. A bit off the highway but SO worth it. They have about 20 different hot and cold sandwiches to choose from. I got a three meat combo (forget the name) cold sandwich that came with sauerkraut on wheat to go. If you're dining in they have a bunch of beers on tap that sounded quite tasty. Side options were potato salad, chips, or something else - baked beans maybe, I don't recall. (I got chips as the other options were not driving-compatible.) The sandwich was tremendous - well dressed, fresh shaved meats, and just the right balance of veggies. I highly recommend skipping the fast food joints near the outlets and make the extra drive here - you won't be sorry! read more

This place came highly recommended and came by way of a very appreciated gift certificate so, we were really looking forward to eating there on Friday evening December 22, 2017. WE WERE SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED. The staff was friendly and the beer was good but it was all downhill from there. Our friends who used to love the place said it's nowhere near as good as it used to be and no longer deserves good ratings. FIRST AND FOREMOST, I got FOOD POISONING and puked all night. I ordered a chef salad but they forgot to add the meat so, the waitress had to take it back to add that (yes, I was very nice when I mentioned it was missing the meat). The blue cheese dressing was completely flavorless. My friend asked for provolone cheese on his sandwich instead on cheddar, which the waitress happily obliged but, it came with cheddar anyway. Their barbeque pork looks like Chinese barbeque pork but has no sweetness nor smokiness; it's basically like dried sliced pink pork. My other friend said her sandwich tasted so much like it was grilled in rancid oil that she ate only half and three the other half away. My wife's serving of potato salad was barely 3-4 tablespoons plopped out of an ice cream scoop onto her plate. BOTTOM LINE: They have good beer but, if you want good food and, more importantly, value your health, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!. read more

I gave them two stars because we did get what we first ordered. That is where the customer service ended. Me and a couple fiends came in Saturday afternoon for a sandwich and some beers. We were seated outside on the deck and our initial drink order was taken. After that, we were never again asked of we wanted more beer. There appeared to be a server switch as our original server disappeared. The server who was now in charge of the deck never asked us if we needed anything. Eventually, we decided to go elsewhere and drink. We asked for our bill, and even that was was not brought to us. Stopped in today after finding a fantastic deal on Groupon! $7 a person for 14 piece Dicks Brewery sample flight, a meat n cheese plate, and two brewery mugs!! The beers were tasty but a lil too hoppy for me. The meat samples were ok, but lacking real flavor. I'm giving this location four stars for a couple of reasons. They have a huge selection of beer, different cured meats, plenty of treats for the dogs, smoked cheeses, and supposedly a fantastic menu! I didn't try anything off of the regular menu, but I have heard rave reviews! I would love to try this place again, beers change seasonally, maybe I can find something with a smoother finish next time. And really... $7 for at least an hour of entertainment, conversation, and decent food... can't be beat!! read more

We waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food which ended up being really disappointing. More bread than meat on the grilled tri tip sandwich. The prime rib dip is a single overcoooked, charred on the sides, slice of meat. The baked beans were also pretty awful. It tasted like canned beans with added mustard.
