Cool atmosphere, dark with booths, pool table and shuttle board. We were stamping and redeemed for a free tshirt. Ghost rabbit pilsner was the drink today. The server with the pink hair was so kind and friendly! Quick to get beers but we kept on moving.

Had a great breakfast at the Spar. We have been in many times for drinks and dinner after work, but this was a first time breakfast. On weekdays they stop breakfast at 11:00am so make sure to get there before. We had a great server. Service was good even though it was busy. I got the chicken friend steak which was crunchy and delicious. My husband got the northwest scramble. That was so good, I wanted to steal it from him. Smoked salmon, capers, deliciousness. Highly recommend!

We had appetizers and happy hour drinks. It was pretty empty and it's got kind of a lodge/lounge vibe. Very chill and laid back.

We love McMenamins! It took a few years and revamped menus to get there after years of mediocre food and good beer but they are in full stride now just hitting all of the feel goods with excellent food, great beer, and good vibes... especially in locations like this with a storied history and amazing atmosphere! What a fantastic location!

This place is cool; vast amounts of seating. The staff are friendly. The menu selections are plenty, and the food was really good. I was so hungry, I went right into eating my salad and entree. But, they were delicious. I ordered the Harvest Moon salad, which was a seasonal selection full of sweet potatoes goat cheese, pecans, and dried cranberries. I also ordered the Red Eye Salmon fillet which was pan roasted and came with roasted broccolini and Yukon mash. The coffee-bacon jam was a nice addition. Our server was super attentive and really funny. I will definitely be putting this in my rotation.

Wonderful food and service. Celiac husband enjoyed the spicy Carmela's chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun. I had the half fireside turkey sandwich with a salad. We sat street side and enjoyed the passerbys, but there were also lots of cozy booths further back in the restaurant.

First time I've been to the Spar since McMennamins took over. They actually saved the 90 year old Olympia icon, so it was long overdue that I visit. It was beautiful inside, with original photos of the town and early patrons. I've been craving a good Eggs Benedict, so I ordered that, along with hash browns (extra brown!) The Hollandaise looked and tasted nothing like a real Hollandaise sauce, and the hashbrowns looked and tasted like they'd been deep-fried. The ham was absolutely tasteless, on my bnedict as well as in my husband's omelette. Everything they serve seems to have started frozen or canned. Our server even told us the cottage fries and hashbrowns start out frozen. When the food arrived, my husband asked for more coffee and some ketchup. It took over 20 minutes to get it. On the positive side, my Bloody Mary was good other than way too much ice and an up-charge of $4 for the slice of semi-uncooked bacon I asked to add to it. Very overpriced and subpar food. Won't be back.

The building itself is worth a visit. Historical buildings are a weakness of mine so when I saw this restaurant i was immediately convinced i had to come. I'm glad I did because the food was great, the bloody mary I had was good and the overall experience and feel of the place was perfect. Will definitely be back!

Ordered from Uber Eats. What a terrible waste of money. Absolutely horrible burgers. Presentation looked worse than a $2 burger from a sh***y fast food joint. Don't waste your money here. Worst McMenamins I've eaten at.

What you would expect from McMenamins, fun atmosphere, good service, excellent food and drink! Having the Sesame-Seared Ahi and a Terminator Stout. Slaw on the side is almost as good as the Ahi! Recommend a stop if you are in the area or even making a drive out if you are not. Can't go wrong.

Great beer, service is a bit slow sometimes but employees are all nice. Really cool vibes, best for if you have time to chill. If you're in a hurry maybe not the best place to go but it is an excellent spot to play some cards and chat. Food is yummy and they have a great happy hour!

Cold fries and not worth the price. I hate to complain, but how hard is it to make fries and serve them warm?

We've eaten here several times over the years, this was the first time we eat dinner here. Fam. Let me tell you, the very reasonable lunch size portions? They're significantly bigger on the dinner menu. Almost disturbingly so Being able to get a selection of interesting regional beers is always a draw, tonight was no exception. And the pretty good lunch menu is expanded for the dinner hour - as well as the portion sizes being expanded. I ordered the fish and chips, my partner ordered the bar steak (which was New York strip), and her daughter ordered the salmon burger with fries. Because it was a special, we also got a giant order of poutine. Despite being in almost at closing, the service was absolutely spectacular. We very nearly had the place to ourselves, so the overall vibe was very homey and welcoming. As noted, the portions were enormous. I opted to finish my fish at the expense of the chips. My partner wound up with a significant take home portion as did her daughter. Couldn't possibly have been happier about our decision to stop in. Since we seem to have a new Greener in the family, I'm sure that we will be in Olympia significantly more frequently. And frankly, I am pretty happy about that, just based on being able to stop in here on the regular again.

My family hit this joint up on a Saturday mid-morning and we did not have to wait. Our waitress was Suyen I know I'm not spelling her name correctly. But, this soul was absolutely bright and kind. We ordered the fried chicken salad and the smash burger! This fried chicken was Perfection in my mouth! Sheesh the breading, the seasoning, the tenderness, and so juicy! The salad came with homemade ranch again awesome Flavor. The smash burger was juicy, full of flavor, perfect size and homemade fries. The fries were fresh and hot but, not greasy. And for dessert we had a key lime pie! I doubt know who was in that kitchen cooking but, babyyyyyy they got some soul in their blood. I am such a fan of this establishment! Come check them out and I believe you will not be disappointed.

Pros: Chill lounge/sitting area at the front corner with sofas, a low bar (accessibility friendly) and board games. Big tables to accommodate groups and various bar seating. Large brewery menu screens with large range and the food looked good. Tbh we came for brews so can't comment on food. The Wildman Beer brand was so-so. Some better than others! Cons: FOH staff interaction. Why we love pubs/breweries is because of the chill, friendly, conversational flow of FOH; their knowledge of the beers and/or cocktails, their passion for sharing it with new customers so they come back again and again ... this vibe fell short at Wildman. TL;DR Good for a basic group of people looking for a brewery experience in town with room for large groups. When we went in what escaped my attention at the Raymond location was that I was particularly impressed with their own mead selection. And the mead did not disappoint in the slightest. The first mead I had was their Oak Aged Classic Mead. Such fantastic balance in body and the oak flavor was truly impressive! I got another mead from the list, the Sneaky Bastard Meer. It's called meer I believe due to the five different kinds of hops they put into it. Great floral and honey flavored highlights! Our experience here was excellent! Steve enjoyed his drink selections as well! Definitely returning for more mead enjoyment!

It took some time to get our food but when we did receive it, the portions were bigger than what I expected and it was good. Our server was friendly and checked in on us every so often as well as the other patrons. She asked if we needed anything else and I asked if I could have their ranch, she asked which one and I told her that I would like to try both their regular and jalapeño. The jalapeño is definitely ranch that I've had with a great kick to it. The chili here was flavorful and had good chunks of meat, I wish there was a little less onion and more cheese. My boyfriend loved his Polish dog and waffle fries, especially how they cooked the onions. Only one thing that was a bummer was there were flies that were trying to get to our food and it was just annoying having to swat them away every couple of minutes. The inside is pretty huge as they have two pool tables, a TV playing, music playing at a good volume, and plenty of seating at their dining area and bar area. They do have outdoor seating too. Overall, not a bad spot to stop by to hang out or enjoy a good meal.
