It's a really clean convenience store with some smoked meats and great snacks. There was a great variety of grab and go breakfast items, and some delicious looking donuts. There was saltwater taffy in really fun flavors, and a wide variety of drinks. The people working in there are very very nice . I'm so glad I up'd my salmon kiesh meal to also include the side of the salmon chowder. We were so full after our meal I would not normally order dessert. However, he did recommend that we may want to try his wifes amazing homemade carrot cake with the cream cheese icing (which I prefer over an overly sugary one) I am so glad we ordered a slice to go. The cafe is located in downtown Chehalis, which is a cute town. They are completing updates to their 100yr old building. They have an upstairs loft with video games and a dozen tables connected to an artesian market downstairs, think gourmet foods, mead, craft items, fancy bloody mary mix, and they also sell smoked salmon, smoked cheeses in their cooler. After reading the 30 something all 5 star reviews and their menu, I yanked my husband's arm, got in the car and beep beeped us straight there. What a gem of a place! We got to seat ourselves, plenty of open clean tables to choose from. We were greeted immediately with a friendly smile. I ordered a small mac and cheese with pulled pork and he got a smokehouse baker. We both got a side house salad. The food arrived quickly and it looked delicious! Then we dug in and it tasted better than it looked. Even though I got the small I still couldn't eat it all, it was a good sized portion. After we paid our bill via QR code, we looked around the shop they had set up inside. Local artists crafts, artisan snacks, cheeses and of course their smoked salmon for sale. I'm kicking myself for not buying something but I am not worried because we are already talking about going back! With Mosby's changing their business model, I plan to move my summer CSA to Boistfort, as well. What triggered me to post a review today was an issue that I had moving my CSA drop-off. After some technical difficulties and confusing confirmations on the website, I discovered that my drop-off had not been moved at all. Flustered, I spent a Tuesday trying to get a hold of a human being to confirm the change in my schedule. This morning, well after the 11th hour and after I had resigned to forfeiting my box, I received a call from Rachel at the farm, confirming that she would have the driver add a box to my preferred drop site (replete with cheese), and confirming some additional information with me for my future service and any issues that might arise. It has been a long time since I've had a truly reassuring experience with customer service; the digital age seems to have dehumanized everything, and having more options has somehow made everything more difficult. I really am pleased to know that there are decent people growing the food that feeds my family, and hope to make the drive out to see the farm myself next summer.

My husband bought it as a Christmas gift after I wouldn't shut up about Kingsolver's book, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle." Happy Hen delivers, which is SO cool for a working-mom-who-cooks-most-nights. Every week is like Christmas all over, and we are getting to try veggies we've never had - like garlic scapes (the top green part) and some tuber I can't remember the name of. Our subscription includes weekly free-range eggs, and other occasional treats like bread, honey, organic walnuts, and an end of season tea towel. This is all good advice but I don't expect them to take it after reading their other reviews. Whenever someone has a complaint about quality they blame the customer instead of taking responsibility. They can make all the excuses they want but those fries were YUK. They went staight into the trash can. 12 bucks down the drain. Save you gut and your cash. Thank goodness I chose the Cuban truck. Yes, I did buy a steak that we cooked up and ate for lunch while playing backgammon. But what if I need something stronger? Yes they do have a great selection of beer and wine. Oh, nothing more adult? Hold on. There is a small but pretty awesome liquor selection as well. We may have bought a little much but aye, aye, aye, I'm on vacation because I love my occupation.
