I love their bakery, always delicious. I love that they added an ice cream machine and have a seating area to sit and eat.

I have been going to Dick's for years I have always appreciated the calm inviting atmosphere but lately the people especially the weekend people are ridiculous all except for this sweet bagger named Sadie. I always see her busting her butt while others sit there gossiping and being rude while she just keeps smiling, being super friendly and doing the work of at least 3 people. I grew up eating treats from their bakery and I've looked forward to taking my kids there on Saturday mornings for donuts. The last two times I've been disappointed in the donuts. The cake donuts and fritters used to have a slight crunch in the outside and soft and moist inside, sadly our last experiences haven't been the same. They're under cooked and doughy. Not very appetizing. Hopefully this is a fluke and not an indication of what to expect in the future. I won't give up on them for nostalgia's sake. Everyone deserves another chance! read more

My problem is with the service desk guy. Not sure if this represents the whole location. Today I went to the service desk at Dicks in Centerville and got anything BUT service. "Service" implies being helpful and maybe even kind. Never does it mean being rude and condescending and begrudgingly helping. I went there to add money to my client's card (I work as a senior companion). Walmart had trouble loading it and the lady there suggested we call the number on the back of the card to find out why. We did that and it seemed there WAS no problem. (It's usually an in and out quick thing at Walmart) But we were told other locations that can add money to Netspend cards. Dicks was one of them. The man at customer service at Dicks initially told me he couldn't do it, then that it would cost a lot ($10-then when he checked it was $3.95) that I needed to fill out a money gram, that he needed my ID. All of these things were way different than how it goes at Walmart. I told him a few times that what he was saying seemed odd because that's not how they do it at Walmart. He was getting upset by now (I was simply confused and that's why I said those things about WM) and I said I'd never go to that Dicks again. There was no reason for him to get so defensive! Just trying to get this thing done professionally! He said, "Well you keep telling me how to do my job!" My jaw dropped. I told him I was not and he snapped back that yes I was and that I kept saying "Walmart does this and Walmart does that." At this point I picked up the money and my ID and told him forget it. I was COMPLETELY shocked at his behavior. I wasn't being rude--I was just trying to explain what I needed and how it usually worked!! I wasn't gettin personal or mean about it! I tried to call the manager soon after I left and was hung up on. Seriously? I called again and he tells me this guy has worked there for 20-something years. And....? Is that how long he's been rude to customers? I didn't get an apology--just "I'll talk to him." Never again will I go there. Beware of the service desk!! read more

Dicks is the neighborhood market in centerville but it's expensive I only buy a few things here. The selection is poor especially meat. No alcohol. They don't require masks. I prefer Costco because they require masks and much cleaner. read more

We love the mint brownies. They are so yummy. You have to get there early or they are gone by evening.

We've been shopping here pretty much for the past year. It's ok as far as a close neighborhood market goes but the meat department is probably the weakest link of this location. The people are great, but the quality of beef and seafood is pretty lacking. Maybe that just comes from living in the desert as far as the seafood goes, but we've had a terrible time finding finding a quality supplier for meats. read more

I know it's a bit of a smaller store, but I have seen bigger selection in stores about the same size. They are pricey, so I don't do full-cart shopping here. I only go there for last minute gallons of milk or stuff I have forgotten about. They have some good sales sometimes, so watch for their ads or go online. The bakery isn't the same. Not sure why. But since they moved from Pages a special ingredient has gone missing. :( But but but, their soda cookies are pretty good. Lemon is my favorite. Try a soda cookie. The cashiers are friendly and checkout is quick. read more

This place has an amazing bakery and huge unique soda selection. My only complaint is that the aisles are spaced really close together making it impossible to pass someone. I don't usually shop at Dicks because I live in Salt Lake and even when I make it to Centerville, it's usually a Sunday and they're closed. That being said, I always make a point to order birthday cakes from their bakery because it is one of the best. They're fresh, always expertly decorated, and their frosting doesn't taste like chemicals. In 10+ years I've never had them make a mistake on an order. I would highly recommend them. read more

I've been going to Dicks Market for a very long time, my whole life actually, my mother raised me on this store, lately I've just been shopping at Smiths because every time I go to this place their produce is HORRENDOUS!!! There's always ALWAYS mold on their veggies, even before you get them home, their produce IS NOT FRESH and their meat looks like it's been through hell. We bought some sugar cookies and frosting and the frosting and is NOT the same yummy goodness and tastes like it came right out of a can as does the dark chocolate frosting.
