Great pastries. Always love going here. It's not extremely sweet, just perfect. Thank you for opening.

I wanted to find a traditional French boulangerie in SLC but did not see one, Zut alors!…read more I know Paris Baguette is a chain and has an Asian twist so we decided to visit on Saturday morning before driving back to Boise. It was early, and it was already busy. TIPs & TRICKs Follow the rules: Get the tray, then the wax paper liner, then use the individual wax papers at the stations to grab what you want. While you're doing that, pay attention to the pricing, because it can add it. To see the plain butter croissants empty already was shocking, but when we told the employee she came back to not only stock it but came to us first and let us pick which ones we wanted off the tray That was very nice The pain du chocolat looked good and were lacking in depth and flakiness of the crunch The Chausson aux Pommes - was really good - They could have used another minute or two in the oven to get that golden brown. They were looking like the pastly white guy at the beach while everyone else had a tan The mochi Dubai Chocolate donut was very good. The total was almost fifty bucks.... I told my wife that we could have about 40 croissants for that price if we were in Paris. C'est la vie! Look for a chain - Its pretty good. I didn't try the coffee but if they ever show up in Boise metro area, I would check them out to see if they match up with SLC.

If you're looking for pastries that are as stunning as they are delicious, Fillings & Emulsions…read moreabsolutely delivers. Their fruit-shaped creations are little works of art--so realistic it almost feels wrong to eat them... almost. Each pastry is fresh, light, and packed with flavor. The pistachio was incredibly tasty, though definitely on the richer side, so it's one you might want to savor slowly. The raspberry had a beautifully balanced sweetness with a vibrant, delicious filling. The lemon was very zingy--almost intensely so--but still delightful if you enjoy bold citrus flavors (just maybe not an entire one in a single sitting). The standout, though, was the mango. Easily the winner. It had such a bright, powerful flavor, and the fresh mango inside made every bite feel special. Everything about it--from taste to presentation--was just beautiful. The only slight letdown was the macarons. While still good, they didn't quite match the intensity and uniqueness of the pastries and felt a bit underwhelming in comparison. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you appreciate creative, high-quality desserts. It's clear a lot of skill and care goes into every piece. I loved the building that the pastry shop was in, as it had a "lunch room" feel to it. There are a few restaurants inside so there are options and there's plenty of seating.

The sweet cashier recommended Strawberry & Mango, so that's what we got. They were delicious! I think the mango was my personal favorite. The crunch of the chocolate coating was so satisfying and the fillings soft and gooey. It didn't feel artificial either! The location is in a food mall, which I wasn't expecting but it was so cute inside. I wish we had more time to check out the other vendors but we'll have to come back. On a separate note, it was kind of hard to find a trash can.

I usually go to Delice for treats and pastries, but enjoyed dinner there for the first time…read morerecently. It was surprisingly busy on a Friday night, but we were seated quickly and service was fast. Two of us shared the French onion soup and Cobb salad, and both were excellent. The salad was huge and the blue cheese dressing we selected to go with it was great. We selected pastries to go (the chocolate-dipped almond horns are our favorite) and we will be back often!

If you plan to get to-go, you go to the to-go counter and they take your order. This time, we ate for here. Once we were seated with our menus, the staff probably took 10-15 to take our orders, which was a bummer. Though the place was pretty empty (we went really at 11 AM), the staff wasn't efficient enough. For drinks, we got the Cafe au lait and cappuccino. Again, these two didn't hit. The Cafe au lait was really watered down, and it sort of tasted like tea?? Nothing like the cafe au laits I've had in the past. My friend got the cappuccino, and I heard from her that the cappuccino was mediocre. We decided to share pastries: the mille feuille aux fraises, porcupine, and kouign-amann. The mille feuille is considered to be a local favorite! This pastry was good overall, but the Napoleon was really hard and there was a lot of cream. Plus, there were minimal strawberries. We ordered the porcupine because it was so interesting.. I don't think I've seen anything like this anywhere else. However, I felt like the porcupine was the most disappointing. There is a thick layer of chocolate coating, and the inside is a cake, chocolate, I presume? (The flavor lacked richness, so I literally had no idea what I putting in my mouth). In between the two layers of chocolate cake, there was thick cream and rasberry jam. It looked good, though, like a black forest cake! The kouign-amann was the best pastry we tried today. It was perfectly sweet, but I feel like it should be more airy and crunchy. The kouign-amann here is really dense and stiff. However, I don't think this pastry was a loss because of the perfection in sweetness. Im glad I gave Delice a try, but I don't think I'll be back.

The only downside is that the wait can be pretty long, especially during busy hours. One time it was also really smoky inside, not sure if something had burned but, even with that, the food was 100% worth the wait. We were quoted a 10-15 minute wait despite there being multiple open tables everywhere, which already set the tone. The person at the front also seemed like greeting guests was a personal inconvenience. Not exactly the warm welcome you'd expect from a place trying this hard to look aesthetic. To make things worse, several pastries sitting in the front display were visibly burnt. Not "artisan charred" -- just burnt. The pastries we ordered were actually good, which makes the rest of the menu even more disappointing. We tried the soft scramble, pork cheek tartine, truffle tartine, and mushroom fettuccine. Everything looked beautiful but tasted either burnt, bland, or both. Every toast item arrived burnt enough that you could taste it in every bite. Our server came by often to refill waters and check on us, but the service somehow still felt oddly impersonal. Since the restaurant wasn't busy at all, it also made us wonder how attentive the service would be during an actual rush. Honestly, this place feels more focused on looking trendy than serving good food. Stick to the pastries if you go -- it's the only thing worth ordering.
