Three things stand out to me about this Dick's store location. 1. It is busy all the time. Any day of the week. Any time of day. 2. It is very clean and merchandise is always nicely arranged. 3. Online order pickup is great. They always have your order ready on time and you never have to wait long at the pick up desk. This is a large two-level store, with a wide variety of sporting goods - clothing, equipment, shoes, and more. There are a lot of helpful staff members available - we were asked if we needed help multiple times during our visit. With the help, we were able to find everything we needed. Everything is well organized and there is a good selection. It is helpful that they offer multiple options of gear at various price points to serve beginners to those more experienced. A batting cage is located up on the second floor that can be rented. Plenty of parking is available in the large lot out front. read more

Definitely seems to have a smaller selection of certain items than other stores, while simultaneously having a larger selection of athletic wear than other Dicks I've been to. Tried to see if they had skateboards here, and unfortunately they did not. But at the same time, I needed new sneakers, and they had a nice variety of those. I have always loved coming to this Dick's, before any of the mall locations, I do not have to deal with any traffic, it is also the newest & mostly renovated in Columbus!! It has everything you need for good prices, the staff is amazing & always so helpful!! I bring my friend's and family here constantly!! I have gotten my favorite Brooke running shoes here to Hydroflask water bottles to clothes, I have never left unhappy!! Top notch athletic store that establishes convenience! read more

This glass behemoth of a building has toward above Sawmill for as long as I can remember. A chain specializing in pastimes, Dicks has always impressed me with it's gorgeous space, helpful staff, and plentiful selection--even if its prices do less so. How a chain like this survive in the age of Walmarts, branded sports supplies store, and Amazon is a testaments to its commitment to the above. Our modern Dicks is without the climbing wall. Shame. It once scaled the two stories at the back wall passed the tall escalators. Now the only hint of it is in the space cut out of the second floor. Still, the place is a experience by just walking through and imagining all the outdoor and indoor fun, working out, and competitive struggle one could enjoy with the product beautifully displayed. If you have never been to a Dick's be sure, here there is nearly everything for every pastime imaginable. From camping, to golf, to weightlifting, to team sports, for youth and adults, men and women, and spectator and athlete like will find items, sportswear, and accessories to meet their needs. This place carries all the major brands. Some I spied were Carhartt, Yeti, Nike, North Face, Adidas, Under Armour, and more. They even sell CBD cream. I've bought items here a couple times the last month. They never fail to have it. The staff is no where near the name of the store; they are nice and helpful. read more

Fantastic service from start to finish. I have a Schwinn Ebike and had no idea where to turn for some questions related to my bike. I Went to dicks because I was considering getting a new one or trying to find out what was wrong with mine. I made my way up to the bike area where I met the most helpful person yet. Karl, who has a lot of electrical engineering background and is an avid bike rider him self was able to teach me a lot about my bike he even checked a few things for me without a charge. He told me about the tuneup I could get, and at that time, I didn't have the funds to get it, but because of the amazing customer service, I went back to get it and every employee I encountered on my way to and from was very pleasant and professional. Karl did a great job with my tune-up and even suggested some things I never thought of. If you need anything done with a bike, go see Karl!!! Also, if you take the elevator up to the bike area on the first floor, you can smell banana laffy taffy it smells so good!! Great store. Every time I go there, it's an amazing service. I dabble in outdoor sports, and come in here once in awhile for other things like jackets, etc. This time it was seat cushions. The only ones Meijer had were blue with a yellow logo. So, no. Dick's has an OSU section, and had a couple of kinds of cushions with the appropriate red and grey. Prices are a bit high, but they have stuff you won't always find elsewhere. I have been so lucky to work with MLB and NFL. I went in and had great experience with staff. Telling them I was bear cub baseball mom. After an hour of swinging, 400 dollars later, walked out happy. 3 games into season, wrong bat. Have a guarantee. Called manager who said, sorry. Even though you clarified it was bear cub....if our manager said it was a right bat, you didn't check. So, unless your bat is damaged, buy a new one. I walked into Dick's and was immediately greeted by a saleperson. Typically I find it silly to have a dedicated greeter, but this day I knew what I wanted and hoped to get in, make my purchase, and leave quickly. The greeter was happy to point out where I needed to go and set me on my way. I found the item I wanted, but oh no, it was more expensive than Walmart. Since I'd rather give a sporting store the business, I asked a passing salesperson if they would price match. He informed me that they had a policy of matching other sporting good stores (such as Sports Authority which is a block away), but they can't match other discount stores like Walmart. Saddened, I was considering the drive over to Walmart when he contacted his manager for a second opinion. The manager was happy to give me the lower price and made the change for me at the register. I was very happy with my experience, I'll definitely be returning. They have two floors of athletic apparel, accessories, and other equipment. You should be able to find anything you'd need here and customer service will be happy to help. read more

As any other Dick's, great selection of all sorts of athletic gear/ sporting goods...you name it , they probably have it. Hate it when you need to find someone to unlock the changing room for you. What struck me when I walked into the store was the enormity and variety of brand named sporting goods and clothes. It is a fun store to shop and play. Goods are competitively priced, but look for discounts or sales. They offer a free rewards card program that I am still trying to decide if it really makes much of a difference. I will say that the rewards program has been a frustrating experience in trying to get set up correctly. Customer service can be hit or miss, too. I've had a mixture of really positive experiences and others where I walked noting they missed the opportunity for valuing a customers business. Their competitor is just a block away. read more

If you're shopping for athletic gear, equipment, shoes and the likes then Dick's Sporting Goods is a must, if only for its overwhelming showroom floor space, two floors of it. After the size and scope of presentation wears off, it becomes manageable. My view is do not buy shoes at Dick's. Sheer madness as far as help is concerned. And surprisingly, I've wanted to look at a certain type of shoe and Dick's didn't have my size. With a wall of shoes about 30 yards wide you'd think they'd stock all sizes and I'm normal with a 12 men's. Perhaps displays at Dick's are they're trick. Visually stunning but lacks depth. Specifics? They have a good Carthart selection but Tractor Supply has much better. Winter wear? Standard plethora of North Face, Spider and the likes but other specialty stores might do you a bigger favor as far as selection. I have found Dick's selection of golf clothing pretty good for shirts and shoes. Again, Golf Galaxy might be better. Dick's has decent sales and, again, the store is humongous. But big isn't always better.... read more

I'll start by mentioning I spent over $2000.00 in this store just this week, and my whole family shops here all year long. We typically leave very satisfied, but received such awful customer service from management (SETH) today that I have to complain. I used a $60 rewards coupon to pay for a $30 item, not realizing the entire $60 would disappear. Unfortunately, the sales associate did not clue me in on this little tidbit and I didn't notice until I had already checked out. No biggie, I approached manager SETH asking if he could help me get the points refunded. He told me I needed to get back in line where probably 40 people were waiting. When I told him I thought I'd already been inconvenienced enough and didn't think I should have to wait in a long line again he told me he told me he "couldn't just let me cut in front of other customers like that". He was snarky, condescending and unapologetic. This guy does not represent the otherwise good service my family has always gotten here, so I hope they get him in shape. Oddly, his unapologetic snarkiness signaled to me that he probably knows he won't have any consequences. Good luck, Dick's! read more

Went to Dicks knowing what I wanted, but still had a few questions... the sales associate I worked with, James from The Lodge section was patient, personable and answered all my questions. I made my purchase with confidence that the product was the best one for me based on his answers. Although what I purchased was not as expensive as the other items I considered, James did not care about the price tag. He never made me feel like he was trying to "sell" me something- I felt like I got awesome customer service. This joint of Dicks Sporting Good is top notch and as good as gets. When I walk in I immediately notice how clean and organized the store is. There are multiple store workers who can help me find anything I want. For example if I ask " Where are the Nike Elite socks." They will answer something like this, "Go to the basketball section and they are in the back right corner." All the workers are very nice and helpful. I have been going to dicks multiple, multiple times over the years and am generally pretty satisfied, but I am consistently unsatisfied by this location. If it was not for the convenience, I would skip stopping here. The store is generally clean and so is the parking lot. Problem I have is there staffing at multiple points in the store. It always seems they are understaffed overall or the departments that need it don't have it while those that don't seem to have a couple people standing around and talking. Why does it have to take an hour to try on two pairs of shoes? Why can't they shift employees if they need help? Every employee should be trained on the registers. The wait times are way too long, and I am tired of seeing managers standing around supervising (observing) and not lending a hand. Their inventory and diversity of products is great, their prices are a little on the high side compared to other brick and mortar stores and definitely higher than online. They have a good rewards program, but your rewards shouldn't expire if you earned them. Recommend Dicks but advise you to pick a different location read more

Awful customer service, many of the workers are plain rude and unprofessional. We went in to look at fitness benches for lifting. The fitness section (which is never staffed) also has a lot of equipment that is mislabeled. A few small items here and there that are mislabeled and priced wrong is understandable, but to have huge expensive equipment consistently priced wrong on the labels is misleading and unacceptable. We had to hunt down a worker for help in determining which lifting racks came with which benches and it was clear even the sales associate was confused. When we had finally picked out a fitness bench and rack to buy we proceeded to wait in the checkout line while the worker went in the back to get the equipment we had selected to buy. Luckily I made sure to see if he brought out the right bench because it was not the right one we had told him we wanted. There was no apology or anything and he went back to get the right one. The cashier was also unfriendly, never smiled, or explained anything to us. We waited at checkout and noticed on the receipt something rang up the wrong price. We told her and she didn't say a word and just changed the price which was good. After the guy helped us load the equipment onto the car we said thanks and he didn't say a word, just turned and left. As we put the lifting rack and bench together along with the barbell set we bought, we noticed they didn't give us one of the boxes that came along with the barbell set! Now we have to go back again, very upset with the service and professionalism at this Dick's Sporting Goods. read more
