Don't order online for pickup.. this is the 2nd time I've had an issue. Bought 12" shin guards for my son for hockey..: went to pick them up and as he's checking me out there is one 12" shin guard and two 9" shin guards attached. And guess what they can't find the other 12" shin guard. Wasted my time. read more

This particular store is not my first choice for sporting goods. The selection for most of the stuff is fairly poor for such a large store. The service folk treat me about how the girls in high school did: ranging from indifference to barely concealed contempt (*sniff*) We couldn't find any decent ice skates for the kids (and got zero help looking), we couldn't find any decent soccer cleats for the kids (and got some reluctant help from a dude who looked like he wanted to get back to his chillin'), and the home gym section is only good if you aren't really looking to actually work out. At first glance, the "active-wear" section seems pretty good, but they are frequently out of several sizes of everything. I had such a hard time finding the right Under Armour stuff to fit my mighty physique... Not the worst store ever, but only a few steps up from that. read more

Wow - was I in a bind! My 4- bike trailer on my car was literally falling apart. I was traveling through here in route to Northern Michigan & called Saturday night. I talked with the store manager, Peter, who said to come in & he would try to put a new one on. I came in, I purchased the trailer (20% discount helped)! He told me to pull my car to the front door & he proceeded to take off the old bike trailer & put the new one on! No questions asked! I was so thankful! Kudos for doing it so quickly & efficiently. Fantastic customer service! Now I feel safe w a new bike trailer & on to our next adventure!! read more

This store is a joke. 2 times here this month for youth sports stuff and literally zero help with cleats. I sat in the shoe department for 30 minutes the first time and nobody showed up. I had to find stuff and try a few on my own. Today I waited 10 minutes and somebody showed up. I mentioned a couple of sizes and they only had one. That's fine. The guy drops the box off on the ground, offers zero help and doesn't stay to see if they fit...just walks away. He resurfaced 10 minutes later and I had to ask him to get another size because he never bothered to ask. He grabs that box drops it and walks away. Thanks dude! Big help. Went in looking for Vinyl adhesive to fix a boating tube. There were two employees around. Both of them referred me to the other and were notably unhelpful. They were both unaware of where to find what I needed despite the store ultimately having the product I needed. Almost a joke how unhelpful they were. read more

Some of customer service on one particular day left much to be desired. Wife asked manager if they sold Yak Traks for jogging in snow. Manager had no clue. Wife asks sales person if there was a way to see if there is a Dick's in a different city. His reply was no. Wife ended up getting both answers from the store's website. read more

I went in to look at yoga mats. They had an 8 foot section which was mostly yoga mats but zero of them had pricing. There were also no signs or shelf tags with any pricing info. So after about 5 minutes of making sure I was not just missing something, I went to seek help, saw a button to press for help and waited. Within a few minutes, someone stopped by to ask me what I needed and and when I told her she told me to wait while they found someone from that department, and additional several minutes later, an employee comes and I explained to her that I was shopping for yoga mats and needed to know the prices. She asked which ones which is a hard question to ask since I would have liked to have focused in on my price range and ask questions from there. So I took four random different ones and had her check. First she tried her phone which didn't work so she need to go get a scanner (several more minutes). That worked and she told me the prices. When I asked her why nothing had prices I was informed that it was because the price tags fall off and people switch them so this is more efficient. I explained to her that it not been more efficient for me to which she replied, she would stay and scan any I wanted scanned (this is the only reason it is two stars). While I'm sure it was more efficient for the store to not price the items (not hard to see why that took less time) it was not for me and made my shopping trip take at least 5 times as long. I appreciate you being willing to stay to scan anything but I prefer to be able to look at prices and read descriptions to see the differences without the pressure of having to produce all the potential items I wanted prices on right up front. No sale. The whole experience was so annoying that I didn't want to reward it with a purchase. Also, your competition down the street figured out how to put prices on theirs. read more
