They made ordering things super easy for my family at Christmas when they were ordering things. I recieved 2 super cute sweaters for Christmas along with an overwhelming amount on 2 separate gift cards. The gift cards is what brought me to the Woodland Mall location. I knew I was getting gift cards here so I originally planned to buy the hufflepuff sweatshirt but my grandma bought it for me early since it was on sale on Black Friday. So I came in with my only idea being shoes or having my husband help me put together an outfit. They didnt have the shoes I wanted in my size so we scoured the clearance rack. We settled on a pair of jeans, a long sleeve white and black striped shirt, and a gray button up sweater. We also ended up getting a jean jacket because I'd been looking for one for a long time. It wasn't my exact size but I like my things baggy so I got it anyway. I had $130 on my gift cards and spent about $100 so I'll have to stop back by and get something else. Thanks so much Torrid for being a part of my holidays. You guys made it better. The highlight of my Christmas was getting my hufflepuff sweater from my Grandma. Nobody in my family even likes Harry Potter except me, but partnered with Torrid, my hufflepuff dreams came true. Seriously, thank you.

From the very beginning, the consultant assisting us showed very little interest in my daughter, her engagement, or her wedding. She didn't ask about the date, the venue, or any personal details that might help guide the appointment--details that make this process feel special and tailored. My daughter had even submitted photos in advance of the dresses she was hoping to try, but when we arrived, none of those dresses had been pulled, and it seemed there was no record of what she had sent. It felt like we were just another appointment on the calendar, not real people shopping for one of the most important garments of a lifetime. Our group was small--just four of us--but we weren't offered a single refreshment. We watched other groups being served a variety of drinks while we were never even asked if we'd like a water. It may seem small, but in an environment meant to celebrate such a joyful moment, these details matter. Perhaps most frustrating was that we clearly communicated a budget of $5,000, and nearly every dress pulled for my daughter to try was significantly over that. Ignoring someone's budget not only adds unnecessary stress to an already emotional process, but it also shows a lack of respect for their preferences and financial boundaries. We had visited other bridal shops that treated our experience with care and enthusiasm. They made an effort to connect with my daughter and show genuine excitement for her big day. In the last 2 months I have tried to purchase merchandise at my local store and they did not have the product or color but other stores did and would not do any of the above. Why would the store turn down purchases with the way the world is today? Crazy!! I love the store and merchandise but I don't think I will be shopping there anymore. Maurice's do better!

Some are great at noticing you and asking you what you're looking for. I recently started shopping their website more because they offer way better sales than in store but with that comes returns or exchanges. I don't know what is but they seem to be bothered by a return. The manager always responds with "well you should have purchased in store" which isn't a fair comment because I don't always have the time to try on and most of the time they don't have the items in stock! They have limited "short" jeans and pants so I always have to order online. They offer to order for me but isn't that the same thing? Overall I do feel they have great clothes but the service can definitely be spotty! As far as the store it is always kept up nice and neat! The prices are very reasonable for their items.

The staff is consistently helpful and I've always been greeted upon entry. I can also appreciate any employee that can be respectful and truthful when asked 'what would you recommend I look for with my body type' by a plus sized lady. The staff here is always kind, even when my very conservative mother would give them the stink eye when I forced her to come with me. Recently an employee, Katie, has been there while I'm shopping more often than not. She always gives me a warm genuine hello and asks how I have been doing. I hadn't been in in a while and she even went to say "I haven't seen you in a while, how have you been?" That made me feel like I mattered and brought a smile from ear to ear. Every time I am trying my clothes on she is always so fast to check in on me and take the things I don't want, and even goes out of her way to bring me new ideas. When I told her once that I usually only shop clearance (as she had brought me a beautiful-but out of my price range- romper) she didn't get annoyed at all. She actually introduced me to their Instagram! Now I'm not sure if every rue21 has their own Instagram, but they should! She explained that her and the team posted coupons all the time and there was one going on while I was in there! This girl talked me into grabbing not one, but 2 rompers AND a cute necklace to wear out with them! Not once did I feel like I was being pressured into buying something I didn't need! She even wanted to post me on the Instagram- (I'm a little insecure so I told her not today) but that made me feel so special! Thank you Katie!
