So my uncle and I was at DSG looking to buy a golf club but they were out of stock. On the way out of the store Marley D. said hello and asked if we found what we needed. We said no you are out of stock. She said let me double check for you. She said stay right here let me go up stairs and talk me my team. She than radio down telling the coworker to send us up stairs and she will meet us at the golf department. We went up stairs and she verified what we wanted. After about ten minutes she found what my uncle wanted. Marley was great and very helpful. Because of her customer service we will always go back to Dicks. Even better the product was on sale. Tall female manager was very rude and aggressive towards me in the store. Not sure why. I was just walking through the store ( professionally dressed, short haircut, no tattoos) and minding my own business. She came flying up behind me and began to harass me for no apparent reason. I've been to this place twice in the past several years. Both times I've came there nobody is friendly, nobody goes out of their way to help and everybody looks miserable. Today is April 10, I went and bought two pairs of shorts and a shirt. They overcharged me which I didn't find out till I got home. You should talk to your staff and maybe ask them to be a little more friendly, and maybe possibly help out. There was literally nobody in the store just me and maybe two other people and still while walking by several employees not one person was like hey how are you today? Can I help you? I guess other Yelpers have had some pretty bad CS experiences here. Although sometimes help is AWOL at this store, the interaction with sales reps has always been positive for me. My son is turning into a sneaker head and is constantly looking at new shoe releases. Ha! I find this humorous personally, but when the shoe dept dudes start talking shoe releases with my son, they can have a 10 minute conversation about the pros and cons of LeBron's new sneaks, or Kobe's or whatever next generation of KD's are out. I find this entertaining to hear. A 21-year old and a 13-year old talking shoe shop talk. It's funny. Most of our sports purchases are from this location, mainly due to convenience. Soccer cleats, more soccer cleats...and the occasional basketball, workout gear or whatever else that somebody cannot live without. This is a shopper's orgy, that's for sure. The good - 'brand shopping' (if this is what you are looking for), prices (for the most part at this time of year). The mediocre - they seemed to have a lot of staff, but I could never find one to help when I was looking for something. And yes, I COULD see over all of the racks (even though my wife couldn't... ha!). They were friendly but only marginally helpful once found, but that was the trick. Also mediocre, not a lot of real 'bargain stuff'. The bad- can they put some more mirrors in there? For having so many clothes, there were virtually no mirrors anywhere. I am not the look-in-the-mirror-to-check-myself-out kinda guy, but when trying something on, like a hat? Kinda mandatory in my book. Luckily my wife was present to look at my hat selections. As Dick's go, this place is pretty standard. They have the amazingly large selection of items perfect for the nature/sport/athletic junkie in everyone. I have found things at Dick's that I didn't even know existed, and sad to say, am now the owner of. That being said, in all of the times I've been to this Dick's location, I have not once ever been asked if I needed help by an employee. Don't get me wrong, they are all extremely helpful an knowledgeable; when you ask for it, but good luck getting them to come help you (then again it might just be me). Oh goodness, where do I start with this place? First I should be honest and say that I have never been a big fan of Dick's. I find their inventory extremely generic and their staff extremely uninformed. I try very hard to stay away, but I was looking for a Christmas present and was specifically told that it was at Dick's. One thing to be aware of, if it's online it probably isn't in the store. I was in the shoe department and must have stood there for 15 minutes looking for an indoor soccer shoe without one sales associate asking to help me. Now granted the FOUR boys were busy standing around and discussing their plans for the evening and then one got a phone call, so clearly they were swamped with perfecting their "ignoring the mom in the sweats routine". When I realized, on my own, that they did not carry the shoe I decided to go ahead and search for the running gloves that were also requested. I found it hilarious as I was walking through the store that sales associates actually passed me and looked the opposite direction! When I finally found the right department and couldn't find the gloves I was so annoyed that I stood right in front of an employee who was counting merchandise until she was forced to acknowledge me! I didn't even want to make the purchase, but it was a gift so I begrudgingly paid for them and left. I would love to use Christmas as the reason why everyone was so pathetic, but they weren't really busy the day I went in and this is the usual level of customer service that I get whenever I do have to shop at Dick's. My final thoughts? The merchandise is boring, the shoes are the most generic Nike, Adidas, etc. in the marketplace, and the staff is lazy. I really hope Zona Rosa will give their shoppers some better choices soon. I'm getting tired of ordering my son's shoes online. read more

Writing a review for somewhere you'd think everyone knows about feels rather silly. That being said, what can make it actually helpful is to note it's service. That's my focus of this review. There is a notable lack of good customer service nationwide, IMO, and Dick's Sporting Goods fits right in. Depending on where you live, Dick's may be one of, if not the only, places to buy certain things. They sure know it. They're right up there with Walmart in terms of service. If we could completely avoid Dick's we would, but the impending soccer season and lack of free time to check other places, prompted our trip. We stood in an unnecessarily long line with the sole checker working hard at something with a coworker. Whatever it was (coupon, return, exchange, who knows) must have been entirely too difficult because it took 2 employees about 10 minutes to figure it out. A perky blond girl with a headset (she must have been important) came over with a smile to let us know there was another place to check out on the other side of the store. This information was not helpful in the least because we already knew that piece of info and that the line was long there also. Just as quickly as she appeared she was gone. "Hmmm", I thought as I looked longingly at the unmanned register before me, "wouldn't it have been wonderful if she'd opened you and checked us out?" We all know what that manager girl didn't. Yes, yes, it would have been wonderful to have been taken care of with smiling prompt efficiency. That will simply not happen at Dick's Sporting Goods. read more

This Dick's is pretty decent. The employees are usually friendly and the store is always clean and well stocked. I do like their policy on delivering and setting up large items. (WAY better than Sears) I purchased an elliptical from Sears, who misrepresented the price, set-up AND delivery-even AFTER I had paid for it and had it in WRITING. They refused to set up my machine after delivering it in the box, unless I forked out another $200. They severely underestimated how pissed off I was at their scam. I loaded that machine into my minivan and drove it back to their store and made them unload it AND refund the entire amount. I then immediately drove to Dicks and bought an equivalent machine. I had no hassles or hidden fees and games. They came to deliver AND assemble it WHEN they promised and there was only a trivial fee. I joined the Score Card Club and ended up getting enough points to pay for the mat that goes under the elliptical. WOW. They offer an occasional teacher discount, which is also a bonus. They have a decent selection on ammo and their shoe department is pretty awesome. read more

You can expect to pay retail prices, though, unless you are dedicated to the sale racks... but it's a great place to browse around & get an idea of what's available before you hit the online discount stores (my fave way to shop.) We didn't have a problem with staff ignoring us, but then again, they probably had us pegged for middle-aged baseball mom/golf nut types that don't mind spending for the best. If they only knew, ha. The golf shop was looking a little sparse for the post-holiday inventory season, but the salesperson said they were expecting a lot of new merch over the next few weeks in anticipation of spring. read more

The managers at this location are true Dicks. They're adults still performing jobs intended for teenagers. I tried to exchange a shirt for a smaller size that I had bought the day before. To my surprise the manager believed the shirt smelled despite the shirt never being used. Conclusion, either she is retaining stink in her mustache or they sell smelly clothes. This is a huge store. Plenty of golf stuff, plenty of workout gear, plenty of bike gear, but just a random assortment of most other sports. Not much for hunting, snowboarding, skiing, canoes, weights, etc. Indifferent service and they told me today that they just ended their military discount, which was the only reason I went there before. No I went into the store for maybe the third time ever, this time I was looking for birdwatching binoculars didn't know where to go ask someone that was stocking shelves they took the time to figure out where to go send me there and had somebody waiting for me when I arrive his name was Jess was very helpful I thought I knew what I wanted, pair Nikon binoculars in the 110 $125 range but just had me try him out and he allowed me to look at lots of different binoculars that they had in the case I came across a pair of Leupold binoculars try them out they were noticeably better quality they were $110 which was about $15 cheaper he took $10 off the price because the package was already opened big deal so for 100 bucks I got better binoculars that were waterproof and the Nikons were not waterproof i'm very satisfied with my shopping experiences that I've been there with two or three times before that for different things the store is huge and has lots of product helpful cheerful store clerks don't understand the negative reviews.thank you Jess for a great experience read more
