This DICK'S Sporting Goods is reliable and convenient. We come here when we need our random seasonal sports equipment. Yes, I know they will grow out of their sizes quickly. We resell at our Church Consignment Sale (on season, so there is a little bit of storing) BUT its worth it to me. We have bought our Dicks Sporting Goods (DSG) cleats and shin guards for soccer in the Fall. Recently we came here for a t-ball batting helmet. Man, I know NOTHING about baseball/t-ball and really nothing about batting helmets. One of the employees saw me struggling with a 4 year old and came over. (I forgot his name) Super helpful and we left with a batting helmet, chin strap and a ball...$27. So when I say reliable and convenient...yes we will continue coming here for our sports equipment. read more

Wish a zero stars option existed. Tried to buy a backpack I found on their website - $17.97, on sale from original $70.00. I showed the employee their website, which indicates it's available at this price online OR in the store. Then she walked away from me with the bag - didn't even let me touch it. I didn't bother asking for the manager, who likely would have made this right, even if it was a mistake on the website; by then I was too angry. False advertising, rudeness - why mess with these putzes? I found a similar pack elsewhere for a reasonable price. read more

This is a great Dicks Sporting Goods! The employees are very friendly, and they seem to have a larger selection of everything than other Dicks I have been to. The employees are very friendly, and while I was there at least 3 employees asked if I needed any assistance. They have lots of running clothes, which was what I needed. They had an extremely long line; but I got to the registers in less than 5 minutes because they had 5 registers open. In my opinion, this Dicks is very well organized. read more

The good: they carry pretty much everything you can think of. Good selection all across the board. A few of the employees looked like they really wanted to be there and even asked if we needed help. Negative: prices are very high compared to Academy Sports. Several of the other employees literally were walking around like zombies in slow motion. Why even hire people like this in the first place. It took all four employees at the register to help ring up one customer for 10 minutes doing a return while a slew of other customers waited in line for no apparent reason. I can understand if you are trying to train someone but if 6 or more can customers are waiting you need to either call up more employees or stop the trading session. May return but certainly not going out of my way to go here. read more

I like Dicks but this place quit selling hunting stuff and employee told me they were getting rid of their guns. This is a bummer.

Yeah...what they said...customer service SUCKS...especially, female staff...seem to be just hanging out because guys are there. Tip: hire staff with sports/athletic interests. Get rid of current female staff and train newcomers to possess some level of enthusiasm. As mentioned, staff walks around like zombies...only interested in casual conversations with other staff members. Like the store and glad it is in East Cobb though! read more

A badly needed full service sporting goods store in East Cobb but so pricey and seasonal you may still be doing a lot of buying online. Good luck trying to buy something out of season or for less than full retail. Still time crunched East Cobbers will mob this place if it remains well-stocked with the latest fads and otherwise competently staffed and operated. read more

I visited this new store for the first time today. It's a nice looking store. Everything is well stocked but also full price. I was looking for a new pair of sneakers. They have lots of sneakers and when I was looking at them an employee walked by. He didn't ask me if I needed assistance. I would rather go to DSW where everything is discounted. I'm sure the E. Cobb people will shop here as it is the only place like it in town. read more

I've been to this Dick's Sporting Goods a couple of times now, and think it's a solid choice for sports apparel and gear. I needed a knee sleeve to help stabilize my knee during running, and checked out the options on line. In the store I was able to find the item I wanted from their web site. They have an excellent selection in the store. It's clean and well maintained and easy to navigate through with wide aisles and isn't cluttered. The service is not overwhelming--I had to search quite a bit to find the aisle where the knee braces were and there was no one around to ask if I needed assistance. I eventually found the right aisle, and later I did have a store employee come up to me and help me with questions on the product. The only other time I came I exchanged some gifts that were the wrong size, and had no problems with this and even got some cash back because of differences in tax rates between the store where the gift was bought and this store. With Sports Authority now out of business, Dick's is the only game in town, and I think they should make a fine choice as a sports good store. read more

While I'm glad east cobb now has a Dicks, I have continuously been disappointed with their inventory. Every time I've come here I have had a hard time finding something in my son's size. In fact, last time I was here they didn't even have my son's size and we had to then drive to Kennesaw where they had exactly what I needed and it was on sale. I might give this store one more chance but if they don't stock up I'm just going to go to the kennesaw location from now on read more

The products are high-quality. I'll give them that. But, I really wouldn't shop here unless you're not worried about spending money. Those with limitless budgets should be fine. The service here is really good. But again, if you're interested in saving money continue to shop on Amazon. You can get the same products for three quarters of the price. read more

I went to pick up an online order today and the store was closed due to network issues. The online order is completely paid for, but they can't hand it to me. I called the online customer support and they told me I had to go to the store to resolve ship to store orders. I went to the store and they were closed. Nobody seems to want to apply common sense to resolve the situation. The online support couldn't even cancel the order. read more

I went here today to buy my son exercise equipment because I like to patronize local businesses instead of using Amazon. Dick's is always more expensive but I like to buy local. Checking out with the sales associate, Ashley, was awful. When I asked her to tell me the sale price of items marked on the racks with a sign that read "25% off the lowest marked price" she abruptly said "they are already marked the lowest price". I explained that the sign said they were 25% off the lowest price marked and that the sign was miss leading. Bait and switch comes to mind or false advertising. Ashley acted angry and started throwing the hangers loudly into a box. Then the political news was on very loud over my head. This was an awful experience and I will NEVER go to aDick's again because of it. Ashley, false advertising, loud political news and horrible customer appreciation made sure of that. Tricky Dicky Sporting Goods! Buyer beware. My husband spent an incredible amount of money before Christmas and ended up with well over $100 in rewards. Rewards we thought could be used to purchase merchandise. What we didn't know was if you need to exchange said merchandise you are out of luck. I used the rewards to buy a pair of shoes. The shoes hurt my feet after wearing them for five minutes. I returned them the next day in exchange for a better pair, which were more expensive and I was happy to pay the difference. Well, I was told the shoes I returned now belonged to the store and I'd have to pay FULL PRICE for the ones I wanted. Really? Does this seem fair? I asked the employee. Her expressionless face said it all. SHE COULDN'T CARE LESS. The manager was called over only because I asked. SHE COULDN'T CARE LESS, just stood there like the ignorant twit that she was. Waited along with another customer almost 10 minutes while the sales associate and what seemed to be an old friend finished up a conversation about collector cars, guns and life in general.
