The course was in need of some upgrading under the old ownership and that is still the case under the new owners. You can see where they are painting the Clubhouse and getting some sand added to the traps. There are a two greens that are near impossible to putt on making our groups take automatic 2 putts. Course maintenance is sorely lacking due to the low points in the fairways and most sand traps being full of leaves and piles of sand. At this point it is not worth anywhere near the one hundred dollar green fee. The cart paths will rattle you're brain. Everyone that we came in contact with was very hospitable. The bar and table service was excellent for our group. The guys cleaning and taking our golf clubs to the bag drop were excellent as well. Hope they get it together for next year.

Nichole made sure everything ran so smoothly, like I even forgot I hired a caricature artist until someone reminded me Nichole had set him up on the terrace. Kelly somehow knew where all my stuff was better than I did & is an excellent writer so she helped us with our signs. They have a private bridal suite in the women's locker room ground level and a men's locker room upstairs. The decor is elegant and perfect for mood lighting. The food was amazing! The chef knows what he's doing and has such good recipes. You must go with the Asian steak. The lemon drops from the bar are excellent as well. We got beautiful lakeside photos and got to ride around in golf carts and my husband never drove one before so that was a journey. The wild rice pilaf, Asian steak & gorgonzola salad were my favorites. We also had salmon, rolls, and prime rib on our menu and mixed veggies and scalloped potatoes. Plus apps like beef wellington, crab cakes and coconut shrimp. Over 20 years ago I attended the senior PGA Tour event that was hosted here I had forgotten how beautiful it is. The course is under new ownership, and somewhat recent years and lots of money has been invested in the entire course and golf club. Beautiful country club, restaurant, golf facilities, and course. Recently I played both courses, having not done so since well before current ownership. That said: The good- The clubhouse and renovations are great. The new back range facilities awesome. Wish we had them back when. Food service good. Staff were polite but definitely not cheerful. The not good at all - the course conditions. Albeit in transition to Bermuda, the fairways were horrible. Lakeside greens playable while Creekside not really. Bunker sand in good shape but raggedy ass. Tree removal helped in some spots but was excessive IMHO. Pace of play fine. Attention to detail totally gone from when Randy was greenskeeper. Horrid - valet removal. No CADDIES? Seriously? Beverage cart removal. Why??? New rules to tee off on #1. New rules to make a time. The exclusivity is gone. I'm grateful to have had the chance to revisit. I hope things improve. There was no one around in a Saturday. Sad.

While I understand not every course can be pristine like Augusta, basic upkeep is expected. Furthermore, encountering Dan on the course raised concerns, particularly his choice of arm sleeves which seemed unnecessary. However, what truly disturbed me was witnessing Dan's inappropriate behavior towards young golfers he was supposedly teaching. His midsection got a little too close to one of a young female golfer. His actions crossed boundaries and made the children as well as myself uncomfortable. Additionally, my interaction with an outdoor service staff member, who appeared to be drinking on the job, was far from the standard one would expect at a country club.
