The staff were really helpful and helped me pick all of the items I wanted to start a new sport and were very well educated about all of them. They helped me get the right size shoe and even got me a shopping trolley when I had too much stuff.

Dick's is probably the store wherev I spend the most amount of time..::and buy nothing for myself! I am not sure if I am the queen in a household of three men or a personal assistant! Either way, my husband and two teenage sons visit Dick's often for all sorts of stuff and I often end up accompanying them. Dick's is a huge sporting goods store (and more) in the Fountains Plaza. Dick's has a little bit from almost every sport and leisure activity: Football, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, fishing, kayaking, golf, etc. Plus there is lots of clothing and footwear. The one item I would be interested in would be the workout clothes but I find them to be nice but really expensive. We signed up for Dick's program and get points for discount cards. My we buy most of my kid's lacrosse gear online and their fishing stuff at Bass Pro, but there always seems to be something they need at the last minute so it's nice to have Dick's nearby. Now that Sports Authority closed, Dick's is really the only game in town when it comes to a full fledged sporting goods store. There is not a ton of salespeople at the store but whoever we have spoken to have been helpful. The checkout line can get long at times but it moves quickly. Hey, Dick's it's not my favor place to go, but I am glad it's there. I'll take going there over Home Depot any day!

    Lots of clearance items

4/1- This is my go to sporting goods store. I usually shop for K-Tape and sports tape, weight lifting gloves. This is a huge store with everything an athlete or sports enthusiast can dream of. They have a great selection of sports apparel. They stated carrying Carrie Underwood's sportswear line. Even though they are pricey, they always have clearance items. It seems like they do not have enough staff for the size of the store but when you find someone they are usually very helpful.

One stop shop for sporting good needs. This is a large, well lit store in the Fountains Shopping Center. The store is very well organized from the minute you enter. Clothing in the center, baseball & basketball gear to the left and fishing, kayaks and shoes near the back. There is a wide selection of brands to choose from. The place is on the pricey side though. The clearance racks have some well priced stuff though. I was hoping to find some quick dry tops there but no luck this time. The store had a decent amount of customers for a Friday night. Mainly fathers with their kids. Didnt see any staff on the floor through the store, but in the shoe department there was a call button if you needed help. Well maintained, pricey store.

Thils is the best spott store in the Fll area. Lower priced than stores in Miami and Fll. Parking can be an issue because there are other stores like marshals share parking. Great customer service.

Looked up online for live shiners to purchase. This place came up a lot of times and had good…read morereviews. I decided to try them out. The first time I went they were out of medium sized shiners, but after looking at them the smaller ones were good size. I went to the lake and they were great lots of action to them. I probably caught 6-7 bass with them. The next time I went I went early in the AM just when they opened at 6am they had medium sizes in and they did not disappoint in size. My only regret was catching little dinks with them on such a good size shiner. Good guys inside as well easy to talk to and ask question. This will be my go to going forward for live bait. They also had a good selection of items inside.

I grew up coming to this bait shop and while it's crazy to see how much has developed around it,…read moreit's really great to know it's still here! There are some choice fishing spots around the Plantation/Sawgrass/Davie/Weston areas, and this shop is on the way to many of them. I was in town visiting my family and wanted to take my kids fishing, and nothing works better than some live shiners for whatever might be swimming in the lakes and canals of Plantation. I grabbed two kids combos at Walmart and a couple dozen shiners, and we SLAYED the peacocks with a few nearing the 3lb mark. I'm not sure who was having more fun, the kids or me as I helped them land these beasts on the lightest of tackle, including a silly push button Paw Patrol rod with only two eyelets! Like everything, bait has gotten expensive, about $20/dozen, but the smiles on the kids faces and these memories are worth every penny! I am so glad I had the time to make this happen for all of us, and that BJ's was still there to get us what we needed! So if you want to go, this is the spot to stop. The shop has everything you need to get outside and all the advice to go with it. Go fish!
