1/15/26 Went in to get some new sneakers for the gym. I was overwhelmed by the various brands and styles, and I was feeling reluctant to default to a Nike shoe... Yoshi not only helped me find the right shoe with support and comfort, they went out of their way to find an insole that was going to help correct a fallen arch that I had not discovered I had... I always thought you either have an arch or you don't--unbeknownst to me you can correct it. So now, I'm leaving feeling taken care of even more than some of my doctors. Customer service was very poor today! The day after Christmas it should be clear where to go for returns. After standing in a line for 15 minutes, as associate told us that we needed to get in a different line. When we finally got to the register, the associate didn't listen to what our request was. Came in here to browse around and saw a shirt that caught my eye, but didn't want to pay full price. I asked an associate (Taylor) if there was any discounts or sales going on. She checked for me and was able to get a 20% discount off my purchase. She was very kind and went out of her way to ensure customer satisfaction. Incident Dec2nd 6:40pm. Location Puyallup, Wa Called multiple times and was disrespected by young teenage voice male employee. The employee lied and said he won't allow me to speak with the manager then goes on and says it is non of my business what his name is. I just recently was in the store and had a question about the stock of a product I recently purchased. I just visited the store at the South Hill Mall. Glad I did not check reviews before I went. I was warmly greeted while shopping by a very kind and cheerful employee. During checkout, I was to try on a couple elbow braces and purchased the one that was the perfect fit. Thank you Brynn for making my decision easy. Went looking for some rain gear for my daughter. Wanted some Frog Togg brand as that is a style my son and I have and we love it. The Frog Togg site said Dicks was a reseller so we came. Found a wall display with exactly three pair of Frog Toggs. Two XL and one large. To big for my daughter. Tracked down a sales guy, why didn't really want to help, and asked where more rain gear was. He pointed us to the ladies stuff. The lowest cost item was about $99 and they had about a zero selection. Went to the men's side and the costs and selection was miserable there too. Looked on Yelp and saw a Sportsman Warehouse about three blocks away. They had racks and racks of Frogg Toggs and other rain gear. All was a reasonable price. The service and efficiency at this location is poor. When a line is beginning to form and the goal is to make money, I would think that'd mean a bother sales associate would step in and help a few customers to help them make a purchase and be on their way. I wish the guy and girl that got us the shoes and checked on us first would've came back when we were making our decision on them. Joseph was very pushy on trying to sell us something we didn't want. I don't know how many times we told him "no, it's okay we'll get it somewhere else or online" and in a polite way, as well. Then when he finally got the hint we weren't going to budge he puts the shoes and box up on the shelf with attitude. Walked away like a little kid who didn't get his way. We came here early sunday like around 10:30. There were a decent amount of customers in the store. My husband and I were coming to pick up gym equipment. The whole time we were in here we saw one person working. We walked the store and could not find anyone. I don't know if they are lower staffed for a Sunday but we literally needed some one to ring us up and get us our massive box of gym stuff and could not find anyone. In terms of cleanliness they could work on keeping things where they are supposed to be, things were a bit sloppy. They could improve one a bunch of stuff. read more

They look like their trying to step their game up. Boxes everywhere of new merchandise so walking through the aisle are a little hassle. We are literally jumping over boxes. Prices are great. They seem to be having great sales on a lot of shoes and cleats. So far, sitting here in one of the outdoor chairs, workers look like their trying their hardest to not make eye contact with you so they dont have to help you find anything hahha. Sadly. Maria L (9.23.2023) in apparel was extraordinary. She helped me with purchase I made after looking at the item in the store, but ordered online (because the store was out of stock) and I had sent it to the wrong store. She contacted the customer service office who really couldn't be of assistance other than telling us to contact the main store where it was going to be ready for pickup. She then contacted the store in Seattle (where the item was ready for pick up) to request transfer or cancelation. How she handled herself on that call made it happen. Initially when I met her, she could see the look on my face that I was looking around trying to figure something out and needed some assistance. She started with a smile and very apparent professionalism. She explained the department I was in was a little shorthanded at the moment, but she would be very happy to help me. I could've been more impressed. She made me feel like a special customer (athlete); and after 19 moves with the military in the most 30 years, I don't think I've ever met a representative, or team member, in any store that was so proactive and professional. This young lady should be a manager managing individuals. She had a very positive energy even after I asked to speak with her manager. It was very obvious to me she had a very high opinion of her manager and the organization just by her attitude. I wish I had her full last name. She is the reason why I made a purchase after looking for something to buy just so that I would get a review survey to send a compliment about this amazing employee. I didn't want to leave the store without buying something. She was just an all-around kind professional human being. Good job to her Leadership. You chose well! read more

I was in your store yesterday and had a bad experience with one of your salespeople. I was looking for a particle size and when I asked the salesperson, she just ignored me. I ran into her a little later and asked again. She replied that she would be back and rolled her eyes at me. Unfortunately, I seemed to be an inconvenience to her, so I left the store. Really atrocious customer service. I went in to try a pair of shoes on and the associates were all standing around in a clique, visibly staring at me. When I brought the shoe up to them to try on, they stifled giggles and took over 10 minutes just to come back and tell me they didn't have my requested size. My daughter was given skates from her uncle on the east coast. They didn't fit so rather than mail the return, we decided to try to exchange at the local store. The salesclerk who helped us was awesome. The skates were not available in store so she refunded us to a gift card. She then walked us over to the kiosk and ordered the right size online for us... even getting manager approval to give us the sales price my brother paid! Worse possible service ever. Won't recognize when concept of customer service hit them in the face. Ask to take tape off the new golf club and got attitude. Didn't say it, but pretty much " I am too busy slacking, do it yourself" attitude. Asked second time and still got refused. I hope large chain store like Dick's would have half way decent service.... A MAN'S MAN Review of Dick's Sporting Goods in South Hill A lot of suggested retail price (MSRP) and big mark ups on anything Seahawks related. I now just park my little Honda at the Dick's Sporting Goods lot and make my way from the front entrance to the mall entrance speed walking as fast as I can. Trying to avoid eye contact with any of the high mark ups on sports equipment/clothing that is sold here. The employees won't greet you but the loss prevention/security associates that are standing at the front entrance and at the mall entrance will gladly let you know that they are watching you because they are the only ones that will say hello to you with a smile but with both eyes glowing with suspicion. I cannot stand walking into the store ( and there is no excuse with a store as big as Dicks) and finding 3 top of the line cleats (the rest are just junk) for women and rows and rows of top of the line cleats for boys/men. Sporting good stores are a business in themselves as the are a place that you can find all your sporting good needs but I find them to be overpriced whichever establishment you decide to go. If you have read my review on Sports Authority then you we realize that I am keeping to my word and refusing to do business with them anymore and have ventured to South Hill and did my shopping at Dick's instead. Unfortunately they don't offer a military discount but then again neither does there competition as far as I am concerned. I did get to take advantage of some pretty awesome coupons they had in the Entertainment Book and scored $20 off my purchase of $100.00. They also have reward card deal were after so many points to score more coupons! Pretty good spot. We went in looking for a bike rack for our tow hitch. As soon as we walked in the store we were immediately greeted. We headed back to the bike area and started looking at the racks. A guy working on a bike came over and asked if we needed any help. Everyone seemed pretty helpful. They only had 1 cashier with about 4 people in line. There were 2 other workers standing behind the cashier talking. It looked like 1 of them might have been a manager. I gotta say, I have been shopping at Dicks Sporting Goods store since they have opened in Puyallup . They have a great selection of golf apparel and equipment. However in the many times I have needed help, KC in the golf section has been ACES! I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a new set of clubs or advice on golf equipment to look up KC. He completely fitted me for my clubs and actually talked me through what type of clubs I should be hitting for my handicap. I originally went in to buy the new Taylormade Rocketballz irons and I left with the Taylormade TP CB Irons, RocketBallz Driver, Rocketballz 3-W, & Taylormade ATV Wedge. The time that KC took to help me was hands down the best customer service I have every had, this is why I am writing my first review on KC's behalf. Thanks for your help man I really appreciate it.
