I recently picked up disc golf again and needed a store close by. I decided to let Google guide my trek. It pointed me to this place. Pros: HOCKEY stuff in the PNW??! That's worth 2 stars alone Nice disc golf selection Free popcorn Many staff there to help you pre-owned / used stuff for safe as well Cons: I'm a stickler for a big parking lot. There was room but not a lot Hours: It's roughly 9-5, but open Saturday which is a plus WELL! I will start by saying I was pleasantly surprised upon entering. I had my 4 yr old and that's always rough in a store. They didn't shun her or anything. They put a bag of popcorn in her hand and let her munch away. That's a huge plus for dad! The disc selection was pretty good. It could use some organizing (I'd even volunteer to help) but they knew what was in their stock. Discs are pretty well priced and they had a great selection of Star +, champion, and some beater DX discs. What got me was the USED section. I got a used Valkyrie in champion plastic for $6. Aside from a little wear, there's nothing wrong with it. As a former hockey goalie, I know the sound of skate sharpening when I hear it. That was like a welcome home for me. This store really is nice. Located on South Tacoma Way just past the 74th interchange and the Chevron gas station, it really is worth stopping in and checking out! I am sure after a few more visits, this will be my 5 star shop. read more

Great service and selection of hockey gear. Superb skate sharpenings as well. The owner is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure your happy. He also was willing to price match online for my convenience. Every time I come to Elevate I receive nothing but superior service from their crew. Very friendly female tonight was nothing short of extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping me purchase a new pair of skates for my son. DO NOT i repeat DO NOT buy skates from here. Take the time and travel up to pure hockey. I spent over $1000 at elevate sports and got the wrong size and they wouldn't return my skates because they had been baked and sharpened. The thing is they offered those to me for free for buying the skates. It's almost like that's their insurance policy against returning skates. I'm now stuck with a $300 pair of skates and all they offered me was $90 trade in value. Bauer even has a foot scanner to scan your foot but they don't have one. If you want to make sure your skates fit and can return them if they don't do not go here. read more

This place is awesome. First off, I'm out of Kitsap county and finding anywhere to get hockey gear up here is impossible. We came in today to get my buddy, who is just learning to play hockey, some skates and a helmet. The staff was amazing, really helped my buddy out while I scoped out the more advanced gear. Ashley set him up with everything and didn't try to 'make a big sale'. She even sharpened the skates for him on the spot. I ended up grabbing a new gear bag, just cause. The manager was pleasant and even had some jokes. I will definitely be buying all my gear here, including my new goalie set. Aside from letting penguins fans shop there it was fantastic. Lol. This business has a great selection on a bunch of different sporting goods so no matter what your sport or hobby is they are sure to have something for you if not they can order it and check around to try and find it for you. The prices are good and fair compared to several other similar businesses around. As a hockey player with kids who also play it makes it nice to only have to go to one ace for the whole family. Elevate Sporting is the place I go to get my kids gear for hockey either new or used, If they don't have it then I have to go out of my comfort zone. Additionally, it is the only place I trust to have my kids skates sharpened. If you need new or used gear this is the first place your should try. It's been over a year since I last reviewed. In that time I have been there dozen times and could have bought gear that didn't fit right on the kids. The store offered a different option and it was normally the cheaper version.
