This time I had told her I need highlights brought up to my roots, and a trim all around with face framing. That morning I was a little late. Beware, because she doesn't call you ever. She only sends out texts and or emails that not everyone has time to check! After I texted her back apologizing , I asked if I can still come in? She said no. She then told me she needed to get paid for 30% for the time she lost. Mind you I've always paid her in cash. She knew this. If she had called me instead of withdrawing money from my card which I no notice that she was going to do that. that AND there wasn't money available for her to do so. She said she could set up another appointment for a different day but that $47.00 she withdrew wasn't going towards that. This is not okay customer service! Especially with no warning about taking money that she she did no services for. I was ready to come in and we could have done a different service on my hair so she didn't need to be rude about it and she lost a customer. I also know other people that go there for other services in the building and they couldn't believe what she had done. Her response was sorry but these are hard times for everyone. Her sorry is not real.She just wanted and knew she could get easy money without having to work for it. The whole conversation it felt like she never wanted to do the service anyway. Like she didn't want to bother with it. The younger generation kids really need to practice not just okay customer service, but excellent customer service. They need to communicate with their customers better. Hey a phone call never hurt anyone!!

I clearly told her that I hate bowl cuts and that I did NOT want straight bangs or bangs cut above the eyebrows. She said, "Don't worry, I'll make it natural." However, she cut my son's bangs extremely short. When I asked her to stop cutting, she said "No" and kept cutting. She also held his head down forcefully and used the clippers roughly, and my son kept saying "Ouch" many times. When I told her the haircut looked very different from the photo, she seemed angry. At the end, seemingly out of spite, she pretended to brush off the hair and repeatedly hit my son's face with a towel. I said, "Please don't hit him," but she replied, "I'm just brushing off the hair," and said, "The person in the photo is not your son. If it's not the same person, I can't make the same haircut. You are crazy to ask for that." I said, "But you are a hair stylist, right?" and she repeated, "You are crazy." Of course, I paid for the service, but I did not tip because of her unprofessional behavior and rude attitude toward a customer. She then said, "You are a cheap person. Never come back," and called me a "cheap person" multiple times. When I asked her name, she said "Jenny," but there was a brief pause before she answered, which made me feel that it might not be her real name. When my mother-in-law called the salon, they said there is no "Jenny," but there is a "Jennifer." Her treatment of a child, her technical skills, and her customer service were all extremely disappointing. She was wearing earbuds and seemed unaware of what was happening around her. I will never go back and do not recommend this salon. I really wanted to include a photo comparing the reference image and my son's haircut, but I decided not to because my son was upset with how his hair turned out, and I wanted to respect his feelings.

She provided tips moving forward to improve the look of my hair and shared her vision of how my hair will complement the shape of my face. If you have curly hair, DO NOT come here to get your hair cut. If you know curly hair, you know how traumatic getting a bad cut can be ruining years of growth and hard work into our hair. I'm not even writing this about the stylist, she was very nice just simply doesn't know curly hair well enough. This is about the owner whom argued with me on the phone for 20 minutes when I requested my money back. I have never had to fight with a business owner over a validly incorrectly done service. Reyna was beyond condescending, rude and dismissive. She continued to then claim that I actually now owed her money! She nitpicked the service that I received (a cut/wash and style) and how long the service took (1.5hr) actually makes it that I should've been charged more and actually owe her money now. My curls were beautiful before and I feel extremely humiliated with what I have now, curly hair can be a very emotional subject due to how often we deal with individuals who don't know about shrinkage and shape, how it looks wet is not the same as how it looks once it's dry. It will take a very very long time for this grow out enough to fix, yes hair grows back but it's emotionally damaging having a reminder of something so negative in the mean time. The owner had no regard for this being expressed and only continued to argue with me. She then lies and says that she would give me her personal phone number for me to send the photos of my proof of before and after, to then be sent a phone number that wasn't even hers. The first 2 photos are the before, the rest is what I have now. I've never dealt with someone so beyond unprofessional, please do not support this business. Times are getting tougher for individuals and feeling inclined to save some dollars by going somewhere less expensive should not mean you should have to sacrifice your respect and customer service. I said no, she said not to worry just come in there only about a 15 minute wait. Arrived at 6pm, took 20 minutes for someone to say hello to me and add me to a waitlist. 10 chairs - 2 girls cutting hair and one sweeping who disappeared. Stylist #1 starts on what I assume was a 2 hour ordeal (client was teenager with REALLY long hair) just styliat 2 wraps up her client, guy walks in and goes ahead of me because he "booked online". I walked out. I would have appreciated being told it's best to book online I would have appreciated being honest about the wait time.
