I didn't want to leave this review publicly but I left a guest feedback on their website and it's been almost a week and no response. I got my haircut on Sunday. Treated myself to this salon because of the complimentary services. I was rushed into my appointment, the ladies there obviously wanted to leave early. I received zero complimentary services. She barely even glanced at my inspiration pics. She rush the cutting so I was getting poked in the eye and nose and ear. When curling she kept getting hairs caught in the iron. Then when I put my glasses on to see the final result I almost cried. I looked like I was ready to go to prom in the 90's. I asked her to fix it and after 3 more attempts it just got worse so i just said "stop it's whatever" by the time i got to the car i looked like Dora the explorer. Easily the worst haircut I've ever gotten. Can't even fix it, just have to deal with the awful grow out period. read more

I don't like leaving reviews but when I do it's because I was very disappointed I got my hair colored April 2 paid $250 for a color $40 tip that wasn't even close to the color I even asked if they were able to beforehand and they said yes they can get it close to it because I haven't colored my hair in about 3 1/2 years and have very healthy hair to find it when she's done oh it's not the color your asking for I can redye your hair and it won't damage it same day I respectfully declined because I know they would've caused more damage to my hair I asked for a v shape with long layers but I got square shape my hair looked horrible I'm now having to pay additional $300 to get my hair fixed so I can get the look I wanted but I have to wait a month so I don't damage my hair from what current stylist I'm going to advised me to wait and I'm glad for the honestly than here trying to bs me for money read more

So as long as you only get sick 48 plus hours in advance they will be understanding...But it's okay for them to be running 20 plus behind making your scheduled appointment a waste.... Ridiculous. I am very depressed on how my hair turned out. I came to a salon trusting and paid $310 thinking I would be leaving the salon with happy hair but instead I left crying because I lost 80 percent of my hair, my scalp is burned, my hair is different colors and fried off. When the girl was finished with my hair, she even said " you're not going to like it". But I was still charged full price for fried hair. After fully examining my hair when I got home I began to cry even more because I realized that my hair was completely ruined. You can't fix broken hair, you can't grow back hair instantly, and my scalp hurts and is red. My scalp was oozing out and bleeding. Each day my hair looks worse and hair continues to fall off. I contacted the girl about a refund so that I would be able to buy hair treatments but I was only given a partial refund. I would not recommend this salon to anyone, they do not care. I like a lot of things about this place. Local to home, great blowouts, speedy service with good outcomes, and the blowout membership comes with great complimentary services. So far I've gotten a trim, and numerous blowouts here. The atmosphere is very "beauty industry," upbeat, modern. I highly recommend Connie and Daniel! Most of the staff is friendly; some not so much. Something to take note of is that if you book a blowout with two of the main stylists, you could very well get a blowout from an assistant. It's fine trying someone new, and I realize they have a business to run and efficiency is important, but if customers didn't care who does our hair, why would we bother booking with a specific person to begin with? ‍ This wouldn't usually be a problem, but the stylist I was paired with was pretty unfriendly, made no effort to strike up a conversation of any sort, and my ears/head were repeatedly burned. Also, the blowout took way longer than usual, which made me late to a later appointment (usually I plan to be there for ~45 mins, but an hour in and my hair was maybe 60% done). I totally get if someone is easing into the job, but I do think that the salon should be transparent about the possibility of mixed booking from the start. Thankfully, when I voiced my concern, it was very much heard and met with kindness :) But given that it's not my personal preference to be paired with an assistant at random, and I like to have consistency for paid services, I might stick with booking stylists that I know I'll be receiving services from directly. But overall, Lex salon is a good salon to go to, and I plan to continue attending :) read more

Daniel is the best stylist I've had in a long time. He's very attentive and actually listens to what I asked for, and ultimately, went above and beyond. I showed him one Pinterest photo of what kind of bangs I was looking for, I basically just wanted something new. I let him know that my hair ranges from anywhere between wavy to ringlets (my hair honestly chooses what it wants to do, I've been on the "curly journey" for two years now after straightening almost my whole life), and he DID NOT disappoint. I didn't ask for a "shag" haircut, but deep inside, I really wanted one... I just didn't know how to ask for one. He definitely read my mind because that's exactly what he gave me on top of the curtain bangs that he gave me looking AMAZING. If you're thinking about trying this salon, JUST DO IT. I was coming to this salon for a while and was happy. Then they required you to have a credit card on file so I agreed since I came regularly including my son. Then recently I noticed on my credit card statements they were billing me charges without telling me or getting my permission. When I called to question they said the forgot to charge me for certain services. I said "NO" they should let me know when I am present not hours or days later. I made an appointment for eyebrow waxing a few months ago and probably won't be back. The person who was suppose to do it was in the middle of a haircut and had the receptionist take her place. She did a good job cleaning up my eyebrows with a little bit of wax but I didn't get them shaped or trimmed. I guess I just expected that and should have asked. From start to finish a great experience! I called the DAY OF and they were able to squeeze me in for a quick haircut. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and taken back at how beautiful and clean the salon was! I was ushered to a chair to chat about wants and needs with regards to my hair cut. Then they took me to the bowl and I received a complimentary scalp massage and a mini facial -- a total bonus! After I was all washed up Connie cut my hair while I was sipping on a mimosa and then they styled me and I went on my way. The experience as whole maybe lasted 45-60 min so a great timeline for my busy gals. If you're in the IE area I would 100% give this Salon a shot ! read more

I asked her several times to just fix it. Lexa kept telling me I said this or they said that. Not the case. Omg! The moment I walked in I was happy. I had a lot of questions on what kind of haircut and color I want and the guy that worked upfront help me a lot. He was patient and answered all my questions. Then he gave me a complementary scalp and neck/shoulder massage! Yessss! Then this wonderful girl Maimunah did my haircut and I love it!!!!! She washed my hair, did deep conditioning treatment and asked me questions to find out how exactly I would like my hair cut. Really disappointed with my experience. I just left and probably will not be going back. I called a few days ago and was quoted $50 for a women's haircut, $55 maybe if a higher level person was the one to do it. Ok no problem. Got there today and was told it was $70 AFTER they washed my hair. WHAT? Why am I being charged $20 more, especially when I'm already in the chair??? I pulled up their website and showed them that the pricing started at $50 and asked if they would honor it? The girl gave me some half assed spiel about it being "updated" because of covid and that "the haircuts have always been $70". I get that things change and stuff, I'm more than understanding but they still should have honored it. The girl cutting my hair was nice but very clearly not the advanced "executive director" level I was being charged for. I wanted a simple trim (which she did very nicely) and lots of volume upon styling. Fast forward to the end and there is literally ZERO volume to my hair. None. Flat as a board. Overall just really disappointed that I paid more than I should have for a sub par experience. They even switched girls while washing my hair and had freezing hands. I came across this place picking up my dry cleaning I was looking for a new hairdresser so I decided to walk in and make an appointment as I got to the front desk there were two ladies speaking to one another and I can't help but overhear them talking about Covid 19 which made me a little nervous on the conversation because one of employees said their roommate had coronavirus!!! and she didn't feel so well As The conversation kept getting worse. And how they are still living the the same home It made me very uncomfortable Not Haveing correct facemasks She had very small clear shield just covering their mouth and I don't see that safe at all Plus it just made them look ridiculous you're not keeping your customer safe and then object around your chin looks hilarious better off wearing a face covering which is a facemask you won't look so funny and you will keep us all safe COVID-19 numbers got very high try to care about your customers more I will be checking myself for the virus by next week thanks a lot read more
