I came to Mani during the pandemic after getting in a pretty terrible car accident and my lawyer placed with me Mani so I decided to check him out. I have several complaints about this place because this was the starting point of my healing journey and I think this is where I should have started making progress. I believe Mani is just a selfish, disrespectful, unorganized, and uncaring doctor to come to. This man told me I had to take lots of time off my job because it was going to severely affect my herniated disc. During that time I worked as a delivery driver and was unable to do my job. I tell my job that I cannot work and immediately apply for EDD disability because I qualified and wanted to heal properly. I never prior to my accident ever applied for EDD and he was the main reason why my application did not move forward and why I never got qualified. I chased Mani in and out of his office with phone calls and he avoided doing the approval paperwork for my case for weeks. Heck its been 3 years now and I never got it. Mani kept telling me that "he does not do that type of work" like what the f** are you talking about? You are the doctor requesting it and you're denying me help during my healing process that YOU REQUESTED? I chased him for weeks and it just never got approved and he never helped. I spoke to different doctors and his techs. He called me saying he was doing to do it and hahaha HE NEVER DID. He made me feel like I was asking for a damn handout when all he had to do was just sign and approve something online. WHAT A LAZY A** I had graduated from college only 6 months prior to the accident so I did not have income and in the end LOST MY JOB. I never got better through my treatment there. I worked at a PT office before as a manger and this was just simply unacceptable. I know that with PI cases these doctors always treat you like an inconvenience and dont prioritize your health. Which is really messed up because its always low-income or people of color. This doctor was a hot f mess and his treatments were always repetitive, cut short, he never had me do ANY physical therapy only lay on a dumb machine with electros, and adjust me which he couldn't even do properly cause he always kept hurting me!!! Now that I go to one of the top Chiropractors in LA I learned that Mani was doing it all wrong and should have never tried to adjust my neck with a F TOWEL!!! Also his techs on many occasions shocked me with the electros. ugh I was so young and fresh out of college I simply did not know how to defend or support myself but if it were up to me I would remove his license because what you did was illegal. 3 years later I STILL suffer from my herniated disc but when I speak to doctors they tell me the first few months of your injury are crucial and unfortunately I ended with Mani and maybe thats why all these years Im still messed up.
