What I was expecting to receive was a body wrap that entailed tightly applying ace bandages or gauze that had been soaked in minerals around me from head to toe and then cellophane wrapped around the ace bandages or gauze for about 45 minutes. What I got was scrub and lotions on my back and the back of my legs, followed by a large piece of cellophane being flopped loosely over me. This was followed by some type of what I think was supposed to be a thermal blanket being wrapped around me for about 10 minutes. When I was done, my back legs, and feet were greasy (slick), so I had to carefully get up to ensure I did not slip and fall. Everyone at Iowa Face and Body was nice and the place was clean. However, this was, sadly, a total and complete waste of my time and money. At a cash price of nearly $140.00 without the tip, it was pricey. If you come to Iowa Face and Body for a "body wrap" make VERY SURE what you will be getting in advance. Also, there are forms to fill out that took up a bit of time. I allotted a total of 1.5 hours for a one-hour appointment, but I was late for my following appointment. They need to give people the option of completing the forms in advance of the appointment.

I removed my brand new coat and blood was dripping from my arm and the sleeve of my coat was soaked. So I went right back and they apologized and promised a free IV in the future. Today I called for an appointment and got a confirmation message to my phone while on the way there. Then I received a call from some guy who I had never talked to saying that they would not honor the promised IV because I had been "upset and used some colorful language the last time I was there". I explained that they had ruined a brand new coat and yes, I was not happy. They scheduled the free IV, (not the very expensive one I had paid for but said the free one was just saline with nothing else) I was all the way across town when he called but they lied and wasted even more of my time. I would never go there again. I have had dozens of IV's and never had any issues anywhere else. These people are not trustworthy. UPDATE; Since posting this review I got a call from Iowa IV telling me I should be an "adult" and asking me what they can do to get me to remove the review. Telling me I am not being an adult because I speak the truth is not the answer. Being rude and condescending is not the answer. I am not the one who did a bad job. I am not the person who lied about making up for it once already. You treated me like I was trying to pull something over on you for a few dollars. Even though the girl who did it saw the blood soaked coat and arm less than an hour later. Ladies I wear jeans and t shirts but I have many millions in liquid assets. This is about principles not a few dollars. Beware of this place.

If you're interested in natural childbirth and postpartum education, this is the place for you. The general consensus- this class is friggin amazing. Amy creates a really open, relaxed environment from starting each class with a little get to know you activity among the parents, leaving space for questions, rocking awesome Bob jams, and burning incense. Many laughs are shared too :) Who knew you could have fun and get educated when learning about a mucus plug. She does have a uterus shaped pool that class is hosted in/at during the summer months. That is something to look forward to. The class is 12 weeks long. I chose the Monday night class from 6:15-8. There are other options. The price is $295
